The product itself is great. The guy at the store tried really hard to get the color right, and he was great. But we just couldn't get the color right.

Love how the paint goes on, however not certain about the one coat coverage claim. If you look straight on it looks flawless if you look from the side you can see patched screw holes and what was previously there. Please see photos

Used on ceilings so nominal small splatter was appreciated. Good coverage, but darker colors always go 2 coats. Not a fan of new style can with small screw in spout. Very difficult to get lid off in between coats so keep a pair of channel locks handy. Dont forget to grab a spout at counter, which also serves as tool to get lid off. Also, not sure how to empty can 100% with only a 3" hole in middle of lid? 1st world problems for sure. Good paint however.

I opted for the Marquee because it claimed I would only need one coat. I ran the calculation for my project and I needed 4.5 gallons. I was happy to pay extra for Marquee because I thought it would save me time. I had to put two coats on and spent way more than I expected for my project. After the first room needed an extra coat, I went put a primer on the rest of the house, but that did not help moch. Behr is great but I would not pay up for Marquee. I should've listened to my dad who sold automative paint for 30 years for DuPont and Spies Hecker.

I painted new sheetrock walls with a coat of Behr Marquee Satin Enamel. The seams and spackle had been primed with a coat of flat white Behr Premium Plus paint and primer. I purchased a second can and applied a second coat just after Christmas to even out some satin sheen differences. On March 24th, I taped around the windows with a new roll of Frog Tape and on March 25th I painted the mouldings. When I removed the tape, which had been on the walls less than 24 hours, sections of paint came with it. Careful removal made no difference. The attached pictures show the larger areas of damage but there are many smaller spots. Rolling my finger over the damaged areas will remove additional paint. I have paint left in the second can and will touchup the damage but I worry about how well the paint will ultimately hold up. I have not had this problem before with Behr paints but this is the first time I've used it on previously unpainted walls. Overall, the walls look good.

I recently bought a house and the one thing I didn’t like was that the previous owner painted everything grey in the Pacific Northwest. I wanted to paint it white and wanted to totally cover the darker color. I think the product worked great. I am having the place painted so the guy works fast. The first layer covered the grey really well and the second made it disappear. I was using a color I found from another brand called Cool Gray that looks really white on my walls. I would definitely buy this paint again in the future.

I'm not sure if my sample was mixed wrong or not, but it didn't look anything like this. It was at least 5 or 6 shades brighter than this picture depicts. More like the Behr Wide Sky picture....very vibrant blue. Not the smokey blue I was looking for.

Three people tried, three people failed to remove the lid from this can to try the product. As though it wasn't bad enough that the glue for the label failed. Had to tape it back on as if lost you would never know what's in the can or directions for use of that specific product. Then tried to open it so we could try it out. Finally after 15 minutes and fear of puncturing the can we just gave up. The lid is bent and mangled, popped up from the metal rim but still will not release from the additional inside cap attached in the center. The single worst cap design I have ever seen and I've been professionally painting for decades! Who cares how good the product is if you cannot easily access it and know what's inside with a label.

SATISFACTION GUARANTEED does not mean what you think it does. I’ve been paying extra for the premium paints at Home Depot for years even when my income was considerably less because of how much better the paint covers. It just makes sense to paint a room once or maybe twice compared to two to four times. The signage explaining “Satisfaction Guaranteed” was comforting and until my last purchase, I’d always been satisfied with the premium paints whether it be Ralph Lauren or Behr Marquee. I knew they would take paint back if I asked them to because I’d seen returned paints on their shelves for sale at a discount. We just bought our dream home with large rooms and high ceilings along with the equipment to be able to paint the interior of the house on our own. This is my first house with rooms so large that it takes more than a gallon to paint one so to say I’ve been purchasing more paint than I ever have before is an understatement. Room after room, we knocked them out with rich colors in Behr Marquee with an eggshell finish until we decided to paint the dining room, the tallest room to be painted yet, in a flat finish in an off-white color that matched the trim of the room. This is the first color we did not buy a sample of first which I admit was my mistake, but I’ve NEVER had any issues with Behr Marquee paint like I experienced with this flat white. It wouldn’t cover and when I would try to go back over it, it would come right off on the brush. It was horrible and I could see it was going to increase the amount of effort to paint the room exponentially. No, this won’t work and would be my first time to return mixed paint to Home Depot. And yes, I was embarrassed that I’d purchased two gallons of the unfortunate mix. The returns desk sent me immediately back to the paint department because they don’t refund for paint. Fine, I’m not asking for a refund, but a replacement. The most the paint department would do for me was to offer me a $10 discount on more paint. Ridiculous. I left the unusable paint at the counter and walked out of Home Depot for the last time. This is absolutely the last straw with Home Depot. You guys are not the only ones that sell premium paint.

I bought Behr Marquee paint to paint my kitchen cabinets. It left bad brush marks all over them and I assumed it was my bad painting skills, but then I used another Marquee paint to repaint a dresser and I got the same results. I sanded it off and used the Behr Premium Plus and got MUCH better results. Evidently it was not the user, but the terrible Marquee paint. I would not recommend!

This by far the best paint on the market. It is a true one coat paint and hides many imperfections that a do it yourselfer makes. It flows out to a very smooth finish when dry. It is on the pricey side but after the job is done it is worth the expense.

Color or white, Behr Marquis is he worst. Two or three coats of this expensive crap to cover the old beige paint.

It is a perfect color for a warm feel in a living room. And one gallon is more than enough to paint a large wall. I highly recommend the matte version

I used the Behr Marquee Matte Compass Blue, did not cover in one coat and was uneven no matter what. I contacted Behr after buying two gallons and they did send me an additional gallon to finish the room which is great but it’s so unfortunate the paint is just not good because the color is beautiful. I painted 4 other rooms with all different paints, finishes and colors and this was the only one that came out bad. There are streaks and lines all over every wall. I tried sanding the walls and starting over and changed the rollers I used as well, nothing helped and I am just going to accept this until I have the energy to start over...again.

I purchased fourteen gallons of BEHR Marquee Paint from HD, the BEHR representative agreeing with me for whatever reason did not cover properly. However he return to the store and told them the painters were ripping me off, THE PAINTER WAS MY PROFESSIONAL FORTY-FIVE YR. OLD SON!

This is the worst paint experience I've EVER had and I've painted for over 45 years. I'm actually using a drywall trowel to remove as much as I can because when it dries it's gonna be a terrible textured mess that's going to require a bunch of sanding. The wall has been primed and the Behr Marquee refuses to stick evenly. I'm using a a 1/4" knap roller, it's peeling up and is going on like a stucco. I just bought the paint last night and stirred it up good this morning. I like Behr products (but hadn't used Marqee before) so I figured I'd go with their best product. Never again. Never ever again.

True to form, this paint does just as advertised. Rich, full-spectrum color saturation with a smooth, even application. Very pleased with Behr and it has become our household go-to paint. We’ve now decked the walls our dining room, study, & master bathroom with this fantastic paint product! ❤️

Was hoping that paying the extra one time painting would be enough. There were areas that stain or previous paint still showed and needed a second time over.

Paint had great coverage and was very easy to apply with roller and brush. Definitely meets expectations

This paint goes on way too thick and dries way too fast. Leaves ridges from the roller everywhere, and pulls off the wall if you try to go over the area a second time. Going to have to sand down and start over with different paint.

Bought a gallon of this for a bedroom we just had drywall out up. room is 14x13x8 with 2 windows, door and a 2 door closet. one gallon got me everything but the full joining wall before having to run back for another gallon. did a bit of touch up when I noticed white splotchy pacltches coming through but didnt think much of it. this morning even more are showing so I am hoping this second gallon has enough paint left to recover some areas. used kilz pva primer on the new drywall before painting. I think thos is guaranteed for one coat coverage but I dont knowing it is worth the time. we have kitchen, dining room, hallway and a big sitting room to paint yet and I am going to probably look at something else because for the cost, it should coat in 1!can only have 1 picture in the app it seems so you get the splotchy look.sorry for spelling errors, the app is really horrible for writing a review as you can only see 1 line!

Paint went on smooth with full coverage on one coat over dark paint

I used this paint to make 'white wash,' 1paint:4 water. It looks great on plywood walls here in Hawaii where drywall can mildew. Everyone asks how I got that effect.

No paint is truly one coat if you are looking for a professional finished product. Behr Marquee is the best paint, by far, forgetting amazing coverage on the first coat. The second coat is just to make it look perfect. I highly recommend only using a 3/8 in nap roller and doing two coats. Use a good-quality roller. You will be so happy with the outcome. Behr Marquee dries very quickly, so work fast with it.

This paint was amazing! We had to paint over dark colors and it did it with ease! No going back to cover discolorations! Cost a few bucks more but definitely worth the price in labor and time!!!

I use this paint ALWAYS for my remodeling business. It's a very tough paint yet applies easily and has a brilliant finish. Just dont believe it's a single coat coverage paint. I dont think there really is a single coat paint out there if your into QUALITY work. This paint is affordable and keeps up with paints twice its price.

I always use Behr
