For surfaces with stains that are harder to remove, using the cleaner at full strength is definitely best. We recommend getting the surface wet before applying the cleaner. Then, apply the solution liberally and let it sit for 10-15 minutes while keeping the surface wet. Finally, you can scrub the surface with a stiff-bristle brush and rinse off the cleaner thoroughly. It can also open the pores of the wood to help the stain properly adhere once the surface is dry. Properly cleaning the wood will help improve the longevity and durability of the stain.
