I assure you this is not the experience we want for our customers. When the coating is tacky, typically, it's because it's taking longer to dry. Hi FrugalRemodeler, thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear that the Semi-Transparent Wood Stain is still sticky after drying for over a week. That isn't typical, and I can understand your disappointment. To help get this resolved, I recommend gently cleaning the stain with soap and water, which should help remove the stickiness. If possible, allow up to one month for the stain to dry. If the table is still sticky after a month, I recommend removing the coating by sanding, power washing at a low level, or using a finish/paint stripper. Once removed, clean the table with our All-In-One cleaner, let it fully dry, and then reapply the stain. Customer satisfaction is important to us, and we appreciate your feedback. Hi David, thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear that you are seeing the color of the original fence coming through. As it turns out it is recommended to apply two coats of the Semi-transparent stain. I'd recommend cleaning the surface with our All-In-One Wood cleaner letting it dry thoroughly and applying another coat of stain. Hello, thank you for your review. I'm very sorry to hear about your poor experience with our Semi-Transparent Waterproofing Stain & Sealer. That is not the performance we expect of the product, and certainly not what we want our customers going through. Our Semi-Transparent Waterproofing Stain & Sealer should provide a 6-year lifespan for horizontal surfaces and 8 years for vertical, so I'm concerned that you mentioned it peeled in less than a year. To fix the issue, I recommend removing any leftover stain on the surface with a wood stripper or by sanding. Then, clean the surface with our All-In-One Wood Cleaner to promote even adhesion of the stain. Once clean and dry, apply 2 coats following the recommended spread rate. This is the biggest key for the stain to reach its full lifespan, as an over/under application can cause the coating to fail prematurely.
