These horses will handle a lot of weight. I really like the cut outs on the ends so that you put 2x4's in there and make your own portable cutting table. Make sure you read the instruction FIRST, so you don't do what I did. I forced the legs to fold up and wound up kinking one of the legs enough so it won't fold up into the horse. Use the levers on the end before you try to bend the supports for the legs!

Great addition to my workshop. My old (ancient) traditional wooden saw horse kit was not as practical as I wanted as it was a bit too short for me (though I could have changed out the legs) and a pain to set up. The saw horses are sturdily built and as a result are rather heavy (about 18 lbs. each). These are not intended for the typical DIY homeowner who would use them occasionally for light duty tasks. These are designed for tradesmen or serious DIYers who need a strong and secure temporary work surface or support. The opening mechanism is smooth and easy to operate even with a sacrificial 2x4 screwed to the top. Just pick up the saw horse by the handle and pull the fingertip trigger and the legs fall out easily. I can do this with one hand. Because these horses are somewhat heavy, smaller or older persons may have trouble with this and require two hands to open them. When you're done, take down is nearly as easy. There are latches that release the leg locking mechanism on either end of each horse that allow that side's legs to collapse into the bottom cavity of the horse. The release handle is smartly situated so that you can't accidentally release the legs. The legs can sometimes hang a bit and require you to tap the cross brace hinge to get the legs to fold. You either need to use a tool handle or piece of wood scrap to tap the hinge to avoid your fingers getting caught or remember to tap the brace hinges FIRST to unlock them just before activating the mechanism. A little spray silicone or other spray lubricant on the brace hinge should help remedy that situation. Both opening and closing actions are gravity operated. No springs or pistons to break. The legs DO have a fairly sturdy spring in them just to kick them open as they fall free. Even if that spring were to some how fail (unlikely) the opening and closing mechanism should still work. The horses have nonskid material on the top deck to hold the items they support securely. They also have slots on their ends to allow you to use 2x4s to link two horses together. These side 2x4s are situated so that the 2x4s are about 1.5" taller than the top of the top deck of the horse. In this way you can mount a sacrificial 2x4 on top of the horse to create a level plane to fully support a piece of plywood to be used as a table top. Again, a smart design feature. Out of the box working height is 31.5". With 2x4 connectors & sacrificial top and a sheet of 1/2" ply you'll have a 33.5" high work surface. NOTE: If you do mount a 2x4 to these saw horses use as straight and flat piece of lumber as possible for your sacrificial surface. Twisted or warped lumber will twist the frame of these saw horses just enough to cause them not to sit level and cause the operating mechanism to bind. If that happens to you, removal of the lumber will fix that problem. Definitely worth the money if you're a contractor who frequently moves job sites but needs a strong and stable work surface or a DIY homeowner with occasional big projects and limited storage space (like me).

Amazingly fast setup! As a new user of this pair of sawhorses, I was able to unpack the pair, look at the clear instructions, and set them up in five minutes. When it was time to put them away again, the process was even faster. This product is a huge improvement over traditional wooden sawhorses. They are very strong and stable, with all of the legs exactly the same length, and there is no need for adjustment to get them to sit squarely on the floor. The top surface of each sawhorse has a textured material to keep things from slipping off (I would use plastic or a sheet over this when working on something very delicate). They came neatly and efficiently packed in a heavy-duty box, and there were duplicate sets of instructions attached to each of the two sawhorses, so that the user has the instructions immediately regardless of which item comes out of the box first. Genius! For storage, I put them back in the box and re-taped it closed, so that they will not get spiders in them while they are stored in the garage. This is a superior product in every way.

These are the best sawhorses I've ever owned. My old sawhorses that were metal brackets screwed into 2 x 4's were good for years but these are so much better. There is no comparison. Each one can support 1500 lbs. I have 2 that can be joined together with 2 x 4's ( and a plywood top) to make a table. They take up almost no space for storing or transporting. They can be deployed or closed in seconds with the quick release catches. A 2 x 4 fits snugly into the end brackets which also have holes in them if you want to secure them with screws for a stronger set-up. They are built with rivets that should keep them strong for a long time. Very impressive.

Any home handyman or professional contractor should love these. There is zero assembly and they are ready to use right out of the box unless you want to take advantage of adding a top to make a table. It took a minute to figure out the lever system to engage the legs, but what a handy and easy system! They are sturdy and it is nice to fold them up to hang them out of the way when not in use. These are a bit heavy so I won't be carrying them both at once, but they are so nicely made that I think I might get another set. They seem like they are going to hold up forever.

If anyone has ever used sawhorses before you know that they are either: 1.) very bulk when in storage and/or, 2.) a pain to unfold and then pack back up. Well good news, BORA has completely solved both of these issues! First of all, the auto-release is fantastic! Watch your own legs because those suckers pop out fast! The auto-release is as simple as pulling a little lever. Packing it back up for storage is quite as glorious, but its still a very easy and simple process. If you are tight on storage but use sawhorses frequently, definitely, definitely recommend these!

these are a well built set of sawhorse, made with high quality materials. the corners are reinforced with strong metal. They were very easy to put together with well illustrated instructions. everything lined up perfectly. Being able to have an extension large enough to hold a 5x8 sheet without any sag is a plus for me. Wghen finished everything fold together quickly, A plus to be added to a work area.

Very stout - capable of supporting 3000 LBs total. It would be difficult to overload these; as long as you set them up level. The 1-1/2 x 2 inch end slots allow 2-by stringers to join the pair and facilitate making a work bench / table. The slot depth cleverly permits 2-by padding of the sawhorse backs to render a flush surface with those stringers. The working surface can be comprised of solid panels or struts / purlins / lath / grating or whatever is preferred. This product improves upon those field rigged repetitive cutting stations often cobbled together by framing crews and re-modelers. But these set up in an instant! And they tear down just as quickly into a neat package that stows perfectly in the truck or trailer... They also provide a quick go-to set up for assembly work in the shop. I like to use 16-foot mill-work trim - and common out riggers for miter saws are insufficient. So I am contemplating dropping 2x6s into those slots and create an even longer table. Double padding of the sawhorse backs should do the trick! Shucks, with some plywood scrap layers, the size (depth) of those stringers is virtually unlimited! At 31-1/2 inches, the sawhorses accommodate padding plus the miter saw table to achieve a quite desirable working height. And, like with the repetitive stud and rafter cutting, I can stage many lengths of trim right on the table. These trestles also are robust enough to find a home with other trades. My son is an auto enthusiast and plans to "liberate" my pair of Speedhorses to support car bodies for refinishing. So it looks like I'll be buying another pair shortly.
