Not as represented on HD website
I returned this item because not all items pictured and described are not included. Neither the belt carrying pouch nor the laser target are in the case. Went back and customer service opened another package, same result. So I was offered and accepted a full refund.
I was disappointed by the relatively low range. For 2X the price Bosch has models claiming 4X the brilliance, now I see why these models are on clearance pricing,

Does not come with the laser target as described
The package did not come with the laser target that is described as included and shown in the pictures. Poor quality assurance.

this item is sold as an interior and exterior product, but on a sunny day I was able to project the laser to about 6' from the device max. After that I could not see the red line. Indoors it works fine.

Disappointing Failed After 5 Uses
I love Bosch tools. Always my choice if available. Unfortunately, I bought the GLL 50 about 18 months ago. I used it inside 5 times to do tile work in my house. Tried to use it again and the horizontal laser line will not illuminate. Yes, I put in new batteries.
Disappointing that it fails after 5 uses. I would not recommend this Bosch product.

Great laser line/ level
Great laser line. It extends more than 90 degrees in the vertical and very wide in the horzontal. And you don't need much space to get over a 12 ft line.

The tool itself is great and it is nice that they included the hard case. However, I was confused a bit about the product listing in that I thought it included the laser target. Unfortunately it didn’t come with it and I am not sure if it was discontinued, but I was not able to find it listed alone anywhere for purchase.

Super effective at dusk and dawn for very large scale...
Super effective at dusk and dawn for very large scale leveling. We do siding and this thing gives us the best starting lines across a whole apartment complex with one beam! Makes the whole process very duplicatable.

GLL 50
A bit pricier than I expected but works as expected. Used for confirming alignment of upper wall cabinets, framing, and post placement for deck/landing (outdoors). Not quite as useful outdoors but does work fine if not in bright sunlit area.

Really useful but…
Does exactly what I purchased it for. A new favorite tool. However it comes with a “measuring plate accessory” and the manual tells you what it is supposed to do but not HOW to use it or install it either. No YouTube videos that I could find either. The clamp opens enough to grab something maybe a half inch thick so not useful. Again, I love this thing overall.
