The last three i bought there was a smell that made the water taste and smell bad. I kept buying it thinking i was mistaken but other people smelled and taste it as well. I feel totally scammed by this product. Expensive little thing to end up just throwing away.

        Doesn't fit my standard pitcher. :(
        I have always used standard filters and this wanted to try this. It doesn't fit my pitcher and just sits loose and the water goes in around it. I read that they should fit all pitchers so I'm confused and out of 20+ $$

        Your frustration is understandable, and we're sorry to hear our Elite Filter didn't fit properly in your pitcher. n order to get a snug fit, first find the groove in your Brita filter and then the notch in the filter cradle. Line up the groove with the notch and press down. The top is slightly malleable so pressing down should ensure a good fit.             Terrible
            I bought 2 of these filters and after just about 2 weeks they almost completely stop water from running through. At first they are great, but they end up filtering even slower than the regular white filters. I am very disappointed and upset about this, since these filters are much more expensive than the others. I thought maybe one was defective, but I started using the second one about a week ago and it is already barely running through anymore. The first one now takes about 3 hours to run through from filling the top once, so half a pitcher. I have only been using it for about 4 weeks!

              I bought these filters, my problem they filter too fast , water does not stay in the reservoir at all. The lights work, they nearly last for six weeks. Seems to reduce the contaminants like chlorine that I can test with smell.

                  I have I guess an older model, like maybe 10 years old I have stomach problems when I drink water, I think it's from growing up with well water. I can taste the minerals and sometimes it doesn't agree with my stomach but the Brita seems to help my stomach issues I enjoyed it so much I also bought a soft bottle than a hard bottle Thank You

                    Not good at all
                    The first two order were great! Each were still working fine after 6 months. Ordered 4 more and each has been TERRIBLE!!! These 4 filters have basically stopped filtering after 2-4 weeks. They slow to a trickle for about a week then barely anything drips out after that. Contacted Brita who took all the info including bar codes and manufacturing date but that was it not even a sorry for wasting your money. So either Brita knows they are defective or don't care or both. And the water is not hard. May go back to the original cheaper filter or just go but another brand.

                      Disappointing
                      We began using this filter 24 days ago in an effort to increase the quality of our water given the recent lawsuit against the company. We fill our pitcher regularly throughout the day. At first the filter was running through quickly, now it is so slow--a couple of drips every now and then. It takes forever to fill the pitcher now, hours. I doubt our filter will last the month. 6 months seems like an impossibility. Given the price and what it was advertised as, I would not purchase this filter again.

                        Tastes great, doesn't last
                        Water tastes best of any pitcher system I've had. But, the elite filter lasts a month or two--nowhere near the 6 months claim. Within about a month, water filtered through quite slowly. When I called Brita, agent just kept repeating it was either air pockets or too much "sediment" in my water. I don't think so. Other filters--including the old standard Brita filters--have lasted plenty longer. Still, the water tastes excellent.

                          Stops Filtering
                          After a short usage, the filter stops filtering and needs to be constantly knocked around to get the air bubbles out. There is a design flaw with this filter and has a horrible user experience.

                                    Ridiculously SLOW
                                    I am so disappointed. This filter takes 40 minutes to fill! (2 rounds of tap water to get a full picture @ 20 minutes a shot) It's utterly ridiculous and buyers should be warned by Brita so they can be aware BEFORE they purchase this expensive product. I use filtered water to make coffee and set up my machine at night. I have to remember to start earlier just to fill the coffee maker reservoir and then get the picture filled to go back in the fridge. Unbelievable!

                                        The red light on the pitcher does not change to green after many times of filling and discarding the water. The filter is set correctly.

                                          It works!
                                          I’ve used Brita regular filters for years. Our city water is so awful now that the regular filter wasn’t filtering out the chlorine and chemical taste. This elite filter is letting me enjoy drinking water again. It’s truly a great filter.
