This product is beautiful when assembled and I am very proud to have this on my property. The assembly work took longer than expected and requires two people most of the time. In fact, when it came time to lift the post and side rails and drop in the arches. Three people were necessary for maybe 30 minutes. There were some famous that one person could to such as put on protective covers over all the nuts and bolts and drill the foundation. This was a very satisfying project and I am glad I did not spend else put it up. However, if pressed for Time It would have been so much easier to hire the project out to a company called handy that does this for company products. The structure is so nice you could use it in the backyard as a pool gazebo, patio, or general entertainment area. I certainly love the finished product.

well packaged product, easy assembly, quality materials, aesthetically pleasing

Tha delivery service was in complete disaray. Took a week of tracking by me to find missing cartons. Every carton had damage , a combination of poor packing and HANDLING. The one bright spot is the originating vendor has been very responsive to requests replacing damaged goods. Hope to have parts to finish the installation in the near future. Will not be ordering anything online from Home Depot again.

Take your time putting it together. Instructions we a combination of very model. Easy to get on side tracked on instructions that are not for your unit. Phone support was available but not a whole lot of help. Finished product turned out great. Allow two days to build.

Bought this as a patio cover. The materials are excellent - no cheap hardware. The instructions could have been better but they were good enough to get the job done. You will need at least 2 people for portions of the assembly. Overall, I am very happy with the look of the carport and the shelter it provides.

I love this carport. Went together fairly easy, is sturdy and looks great on my patio.

This carport ships in three large boxes and has a million pieces for assembly. It took myself and a buddy at least one full day to assemble and stand-up the frame. Of course, we did make some mistakes that we had to backtrack on. I am still slowly working on assembling the top. Construction seems well made and a notch above most other prefab carports that I've seen

Easy

I would have given 5 stars, but one of gutter extrusions was bent and I was unable to reach a Palram representative. I left both an email and phone message, but no response. Ultimately I was able to bend the piece, but it took about 2 hours to come up with a method that would not destroy the piece. Someone with a metal brake may have been able to fix with ease. Overall a really good quality product, good instructions and several spare fasteners.

Fairly easy to assemble. There are so many screws and bolts but if your mechanically inclined at all there shouldn’t be any problem. Very well made and nice looking. I would have given it a 5 star but the instructions were only pictures without a place to find a video with detailed instructions.

Overall we are pretty happy with how this has come together. Will see how it holds up in the Florida summers. It took about 5-6 hours over a couple evenings to put together. You can easily break the job into parts, as the first several steps are pre-assembly of the legs, beams, and arch headers. They give SAE equivalent dimensions throughout the instructions but they are decimalized vs fractions. So honestly it's easier if you have a metric scale on your tape measure. You need a good, sharp set of 1/8" drill bits and a good drill as the beams each have 8 holes that must be drilled for the metal screws to tap into. Technically I think they are self-tapping screws, but if you want to not have the screws run around before they bight and mess up the finish, best to predrill them. You also need a fairly large laydown area for assembly. We did most of it in our 2 car garage to start. Complaints are few, but things I think you should be aware of. And why I docked one star. - the boxes are heavy of course, about 300lbs for the 2. Each box is identical, but there is nothing that indicates that's the way it's suppose to be so at first thought got 2 boxes of the same thing. - they are packaged okay, but there is still a fair amount of stuff left to float around in the middle. We have several small nicks and mars in the posts and other long beams because of the lack of packing. Company is sending us a paint pen to cover up, but a little better packing job would eliminate that. - some bolt and nut packages are labeled and singular types, but there are 2 big bags that are a mix of bolts, screws, and washers. The washers are the trickiest part as there are 3 or 4 different types of fender washers, so take some time and separate them out and mark a container or whatever to keep them straight during assembly. - The outside rails that also double as the gutters have a very specific orientation that is hard to see in the manual. I got lucky and put mine together right, but realized later could have easily done them backwards which would have resulted in empty drilled screw holes hanging out under the eaves. The joined ends TOGETHER make a single place for a screw and nut to hold into. The other end will have a complete slot by itself set back a bit from the end. Don't mistakenly do it the other way around. - Lastly, there is no way to easily close off one of the downspout holes. In our case it will run slightly down hill one way, so probably won't be an issue but would still be nice to close off the upper ones. Tech phone support was great, prompt, and in the US.

Very strong and good quality materials.Many parts missing, like tape, nuts, bolts. The instructions are a little confusing, different models show on the same book. Overall, I'm happy with the finished product. Just an extra trip to Home Depot to buy the missing parts, I don't want to wait weeks before I get the missing parts from the manufacturer.

Attractive, sturdy, lets the sun in but keeps the UV out. Was easy for installers to install. Has kept the water directed toward the ends of the carport.

I would highly recommend minimum two people for assembly. Recommend caulking the end caps of the gutters before putting them up. Looks great!

I love this patio cover. Well worth the money. It was easy to assemble, and directions were easy to follow. My sister and I along with my cousin assembled it in 6 1/2 hours. And when I contacted Palram because I was missing the small plastic covers, they responded immediately and sent them via fedex

We are using this for a patio cover so far its been great. We have not had any rain or snow yet, that will be the test. It's structurally strong and should hold up very well. It is giving us more out door living space. It took my wife and I about five hours to put up (not in a big hurry).

There were lots of parts and pieces but all were well labeled with picture instructions clearly labeled to aid in installation. It definitely took two people to assemble the carport which was good as we were able to assemble heavy and long pieces without damaging them or injury to ourselves

We had the Palram Penguin and liked it until a drunk driver tore thru our landscape and crashed into the middle leg. Even with massive damage it was still sturdy. Arcadia 5000 and Is even better. I am 70 and built it with the help of a few friends. Mostly another woman. Love it.

Nice unit, easy to assemble.

Firstly Home Depot price was better than other online options. This is far better than any other carport I researched that is readily available. I got my contractor to install it. It took 2 men around 8 hours. This was bolted directly on the black top surface. Powder coated aluminum and PU panels on top look great. Will see how effective it is in the winter. So far so good.

2 of the polycarbonate roof panels are damaged and need replacement. I contacted Palram via email and am currently waiting for a reply.

Would have rated higher but was a royal PAIN to assemble.
