Good - 2 areas of concern
All in All this is a good product. It took several days to assemble it. Follow the instructions and separate the parts before you start. There were 2 areas where I had problems. 1) The trim pieces that hold the roof panels in place kept popping out of the grooves and the roof panels would slide down. I bought 2 hold down kits and to solve that issue. 2) doors sagged would not stay square and separated at the corners. I used 4" angle clamps on all corners to secure them. Red circles in picture.

    Cannot withstand high winds
When we first got this greenhouse, it went together very easily, and worked great. Then we had some strong winds (not ridiculous - gusting into the 30mph range) and I had some pieces come off and get damaged. Canopia were great at replacing those parts free of charge, and I was back in business. Then, recently, we had some stronger winds (into the 40 mph range) and the greenhouse was destroyed. If it is going to be sheltered, this greenhouse is great! If not, stay clear.

      Don’t waste your money
My husband bought this for me and opened it and we are very disappointed. The plastic is thin and brittle. Returning product today. Not worth the money Home Depot.

        DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
We collectively have over 50 hours putting this together. We dug a trench to level the ground, but did not further earthwork. Panels will not stay on in the wind, doors will not open or close. Absolute waste of money and time. I think I'll level it with the tractor. No way to salvage it at this point.

Hi, thank you for taking the time to place the review. Our instructions state clearly that the greenhouse must be assembled on a solid and leveled surface. Concrete, pressure/treated wood, paver blocks.
Otherwise the greenhouse will not be anchored properly.

          Canopia snap and fro greenhouse
The instructions are difficult to follow. It is time consuming to erect. Some of the parts don’t fit together well, ie the door. We had to use sheet metal screws to hold pieces into place properly. It’s worth the asking price though. And, overall I’m happy with the greenhouse.

          Average person can put together
Alot of the reviews I read complain about the difficulty assembling the green house, but I can only conclude most of these people have never done anything with thier hands. It's been up over a year now, with the constant winds of the last few weeks, many of the down brace connectors are cracking leaving them hanging free. palem needs to upgrade these, I can reweld them, many cannot. Other than that it's been trouble free.

Poor quality product, useless manufacture warranty
I have purchased a 8x28 greenhouse last year in August, done everything according to instruction manual, and now it’s a pile of rubbish after yesterday snow storm. Manufacturing company warranty does not cover weather related damages. The product is poorly made, unreliable, cannot withstand bad weather. We purchased another greenhouse from a different company several years ago and is still standing!

Hey Mariana, we are sorry to hear that your product got damaged in a snow storm. We want to assure you that all our products undergo extensive testing including wind and snow resistance tests. Your Greenhouse has been tested to withstand 55 ml/h winds & 15 lbs/ft² snow load, as described at the product's specifications. I believe the storm was stronger than that.. Nevertheless, I urge you to contact us to see what we can do to restore your Greenhouse. Generally, we recommend adding the dedicated Anchoring-Kit to enhance your Greenhouse's stability for windy locations. you can find it in the following like: https://www.homedepot.com/p/CANOPIA-by-PALRAM-Anchoring-Kit-for-Snap-and-Grow-Greenhouse-702517/204371774

              Great greenhouse!
I absolutely love my little greenhouse! we were debating on whether to diy or get a kit, and I'm so happy we decided on this kit! the system is very clever with integrated channels everywhere so you can really customize shelves and hangers as needed. if you follow the instructions exactly the assembly is pretty easy. some of the steps definitely go against normal building logic however if you follow it exactly it definitely goes together quite easily. the few steps we thought we would take a shortcut on we ended up undoing and redoing exactly as the instructions said. the only thing I would change is to follow the instructions exactly the first time.

Yes, I would recommend this product. However, only for a fun hobby in the most southern of states such as Florida. The clear panels are a very thin plastic unable to hold any heat in for starting seedlings early season. I will have to purchase my vegetable and flower plants at a nursery just like any other year prior to purchasing this greenhouse. Though I am optimistic that they will grow faster and stronger than in my raised beds. Had I seen this greenhouse set up at Home Depot I would not have purchased it. I was looking for heavier quality panels so that I could start my own seeds. So before you invest $1,200 for the greenhouse, $700+ for the wood floor and all those hours of labor...think about what you want to do get out of it...just for fun or save money on groceries. Because I can buy a lot of groceries for $2K

Junk - Totally destroyed after 2 years
Wow, what a disappointment. I purchased this greenhouse in 2018 and had it professionally installed. It took my contractor (a union guy) two days to put it together. He did a great jog and it looked nice for the first 11 months. THIS IS NOT A STURDY GREENHOUSE. After 11 months it started falling apart. One of the plastic windows popped out. Then another. When the doors became loose I contacted both Palmram and Home Depot this past May and got no response. I am attaching a photo of the greenhouse today. As you can see it is now a $1700 pile of rubble. And that doesn't include the $500 to have it professionally installed. As you can see in the photo, this greenhouse had protection on a few sides. Avoid the Palram Greenhouse. Neither the company nor Home Depot will respond.

Beware the instructions.. I think there are flaws.
I received part number 92 with batch #1936025. Instructions are pretty easy to follow, but there are some images that are confusing. It took me a few days to get it up solo. Would have given 4 stars were it not for the issues I faced in missing parts poor customer service and what I believe to be incorrect instructions. More below: Palram Quality control and customer service is lacking. I was missing parts right out of the box that are the main structural supports. I also believe the instructions I received in the box are incorrect. I tried to inform a customer service rep and she told me it is not possible and that I am wrong. BEWARE!!! Don't make the same mistake I did as taking the greenhouse apart to fix this error could break things. I left it as is because I truly felt I was going to bend/break part 850 that is used to secure the triangle window. I am not certain if I am correct in stating that the instructions are wrong because Laurie from customer service told me I was wrong and that this is not possible because they sell so many units of these and no one has had an issue.. Well, I did and she insisted I was wrong. Again, I am not certain if I am or am not, but I definitely want to give people a heads up to not install parts 850 until you are sure you do not have this error in your instruction manual. That being said, I am going to let you judge for yourself. The issue is on the instruction manual page 15 supplemented with page 37. On page 15 the instructions state that part 843 goes on the front of the greenhouse. However, on page 37 of the instructions, it states that part 851 is supposed to snap into part 842 (which instructions state goes on the rear of the greenhouse). Looking at how it is supposed to snap into the part, one can conclude that the instructions had you install the piece on the wrong side... I initially thought they mislabeled my parts. I am now stuck waiting for replacements.. Judge for yourself.

I installed it myself over 2-days, grew fabulous vegtables/plants inside all year long for the first year and secured it to the ground with cables provided. Can withstand strong winds but not strong pine trees. Hope to buy another one someday.

In the end I'm pretty happy with the greenhouse, but it wasn't easy to put together. The biggest problem was that the shipment was missing about 12 parts. These were significant parts that basically rendered the entire product unusable. I had to call the vendor directly to get the missing parts and even when they shipped them, there were still missing parts. It was about 2-months from the time I ordered it to the time I received most of the parts. I couldn't wait any longer so I resorted to making my own parts out of wood, which are serving their purpose until I can get the actual parts! This was ordered during the Corona Virus shutdown, so that obviously had something to do with it. I'm happy with the product for the price I paid. There are some ongoing issues I'm having with it, though: the gutter system is lousy and leaks all over the place. The doors tend to sag in the middle which makes it difficult to close. I strongly recommend using lubrication when putting the pieces together. In some cases, I had to use a pipe clamp to squeeze the parts together!

Not even two years and it's a mess
We bought this for a community garden. We hired a professional to install. For starters, you need to put in a wood base. Otherwise it will blow away. Now, not even two years in, the air vents have blown off and the metal frame is bent. Several of the thin polycarbonate panels have blown away. It took my contractor, who is a union carpenter, two days to construct it because it was hard to put together. This will not last the season and I've wasted $1800 plus the cost to put it in. I am attaching a photo with the doors destroyed by the bent metal frame. What a shame.

I am really glad I read the reviews prior to purchasing. I read the negative reviews about issues with construction more as a critique on the individual's construction abilities that a poorly built product. I think I interpreted the information correctly. I recommend organizing the parts arranged by part number before you begin. We built this as a three person team, one person reading ahead and organizing the parts and two people performing the assembly. We opted to build the wooden base which I think was a huge asset in keeping the project level and square. This is a well engineered product with complete and detailed assembly instructions. However, I would not recommend a first timer trying this as an initiation into construction projects. You need some basic experiencing in construction assembly to complete this project properly. I am impressed with this company and their quality of parts. Everything snaps together and is engineered to provide strength and style. The picture is one of my daughter attaching the greenhouse to its footing assembly.

I am very pleased with the greenhouse overall, but I felt that instructions could be better. There is no wording, just pictures and some of the pics were confusing to me. That might not be an issue for others, but it did bother me. I feel that it should have more bracing to stabilize the structure laterally, but I tend to overbuild so perhaps that's just me. In any case, it's a nice looking greenhouse and I do feel that it's worth the money.

I purchassed my 8 x 16 Palram last year and I absolutely love it. My husband, son and I put it together in 12 hours and it is perfect, it was installed directly on the ground. We rented a front loader and made sure the ground was perfectly level and laid out both kits in our garage so all matching parts were together. I live in upstate New York and we had a 24 inch snowfall from 1 storm this winter and the snow just slid right off, no issues. We have had wind gusts as high as 60 mph and have had no issues, the Pollycarbonate panels do not even raddle with the wind. We purchased 2 of the Palram steel cable anchoring kits and installed them immediately after building was complete.

This greenhouse is AMAZING. If you are on the fence about this greenhouse, you should go for it. Palram has definitely spent a lot of time thinking through the design of this. A lot of people seem to complain about how difficult it is to assemble, but don't let them scare you away. If you have ever assembled something like IKEA furniture, then you should be just fine putting this together. Most of the pieces just snap together, there aren't many nuts and bolts and very minimal tool use, surprisingly. The way it is designed makes it super strong, especially if you use all the reinforcement pieces. The other most important thing that you absolutely MUST do, is to create a solid foundation for this to sit on. If it is not straight and level, you're going to waste your time and money. My advise is do not rush it. I worked leisurely on this for about two days, mostly by myself, taking my time and making sure things went together correctly and that everything was straight. The directions are very clear, although they are just diagrams but they are really not hard to follow. Just pay attention to the details, all the information is there. Good luck!

I love it. It was a little frustrating to put together. The instructions are all pictures, no words. If you don't get the rails spaced just right you will be adjusting with every panel you put in. Other then that it went together well.

There are too many plastic parts that do not mate well with aluminum parts. I had to get replacement parts from the manufacturer and it ended up costing me more than the normal price. Also, this product does not keep out cold breeze. I had to also install bubble wrap to help contain and insulate the greenhouse to prevent the temps from doing too low. The heater I bought is honestly the best part, but that is a separate purchase. Over after my technical difficulties, the greenhouse is doing great. This l product should come with certain standard replacement parts or spares.

I purchased my Palram Snap and Grow 6 ft x 8 ft. Silver Polycarbonate Greenhouse May 11, 2017 and received it May 19 -17. I shopped around a lot and what I liked about the Palram compared to others is the raised panels which seem to give it more strength then other brands I had seen. The one thing I would have liked is to have metal locking nuts instead of the plastic ones. I like the green house so well that I have been posting pictures of it and talking about it to other family members and friends. And Bingo for Palram my parents purchased one two weeks ago and they love it. I have also made some modifications to the Greenhouse, I wrapped the bottom metal frame of the green house with redwood 2x4’s which added weight and stability along with good looks to the Greenhouse. Then I drilled threw the wood and frame to install a water connection so I have water access inside the Palram Greenhouse. Thank you for a great product.

This has to be one of the neatest engineered products I've seen in a long time. My 12 year-old grandson and I took about 6 hours to put it together, including the 4x6 beams (for the base) that we secured the metal frame to. The beams were anchored into the ground with 4 - 11/2' lengths of chain and an 80 lb bag of concrete in a 2' deep hole on each corner. Chain was secured to the beams with 6" lag bolts. Love, love, love it!!! ps....read the instructions cover-to-cover before you begin assembly...don't "assume" and don't take shortcuts!

Love this greenhouse! Suggest 2 people put it together that know what they're doing, however they had it done in 2 days. The little window vent doesn't seem to fit perfectly allowing a little rain to enter. Perhaps there's a trick to fixing this? Other than that it's exactly what I had hoped for.

Was not hard to put together , but I have put together my Gazebo from same company . I did it by my self but had help with roof braces . Put it together in my shop because it was so cold outside and wind blowing . You can not do this in wind . Two things do not use there mounting tin screw it down with deck screws like I did or bolt it it down . I used 4/4 to mount it . It needs extra braces witch I have aided and will add more .
