Honestly I picked out this calculator not knowing quite what to expect. I rarely work with concrete but I had and still have some concrete work to do most of it setting some fence posts in concrete. I remember last time I did fence posts I was mixing to much or to little concrete and it was a total hassle. Well not this time, with this ConcreteCalc Pro it has made figuring out the amount of concrete I need to mix very easy so I am not ending up short and not mixing to much so it has made life very easy there. I also got this calculator to act as a construction calculator to do things like square footage, cubic feet and conversions. I have barley cracked the surface of what this calculator can do but even I have been able to figure out enough basic functions to get by and I am absolutely horrible at math even with a calculator lol! It is nice because there is a slot in the back of the calculator for the small instructions manual and there is a quick reference guide inside the lid of the Armadillo case that comes with it. The Armadillo case that it comes with is great and protects the calculator very well, I submitted mine to some torture testing where I repeatedly dropped it from 10 feet and also threw it very hard at the ground multiple times and it never sustained any damage at all! As far as functions and things don't expect me to explain to much, check out the descriptions and they will tell you the kind of things this calculator is capable of and check YT for some instructional videos. I am definitely glad I picked up this calculator and even though I have only done small amounts of concrete work with it the calculator made it much easier and helped me not to waste material. I definitely highly recommend this calculator.

The ConcreteCalc Pro Calculator is a great tool for all contractor pros. Not only does it do all of the calculations needed for concrete work, it can assist flooring sales by finding the correct areas. All of the correct formulas are available for most construction problems with conventional measurements as well as metric. I sure could have used this for multiple projects. The Armadillo Gear case is a great plus! Althought the Home Depot site shows a pocket for manuals, mind does not have the pocket (minor problem.) It's a solid and accurate calculator. It has plenty of conversion features. I think that the Construction Master 5 is easier to navigate. The manual is straight forward. My only concern is figuring pours too close with this calculator. Depending on what the batch plant actually sends in a load could do you more harm than good. Not using the 10% extra concept could leave you scrambling to order another load. The advantage of this calculator is more in the project design/engineering phase, less in the field or on-site.

This is a great tool for any concrete contractor or builder. The calculator comes in a built in style heavy duty casing. It also has a flip top to protect the buttons. On the under side of the flip there are notes on using the calculator. This is great tool for figuring concrete volumes for different dimensions. (walls, footings, foundations, flatwork) I would strongly recommend. This is a great replacement for sliderulers. It is very durable for leaving in the truck or working on the jobsite.

I updated my material needs calculations by getting the ConcreteCalc Pro Calculator. This calculator is designed for people that need to determine accurate material calculations on the fly. It has a drop resistant Armadillo Gear rubberized exterior cover with a quick reference guide on the inside of the cover. It also has a reference guide in Spanish that can be installed over the English version if needed. This calculator has been very helpful in calculating the materials needed for concrete, asphalt and paver driveway and patio applications. It saves your calculations for later reference or for comparison to other contractors calculations for bid purposes. It is easy to use and very versatile. It has paid for itself on the first day with an accurate set of calculations that won a bid for me on a driveway install. Rugged and dependable this is my first choice for accurate calculations on the jobsite.

If you have experience with this type of calculator then it’s easier to use initially. I had a bit of trouble figuring it out, however on the Calculated Industries website they have some how-to videos and a Quick Start guide. That was very helpful. I do like the heavy-duty case. This is a must on a job site (or even around the house if you’re a dIYer). It’s not very expensive either, which makes it an affordable & effective tool for non-professionals.

It makes me almost sick when I look back at all the complex calculations I used to make. This makes so many calculations a cinch. I am almost in disbelief as to what it will do. Where was this when I was pouring concrete columns. I had to go to a computer and enter the information. Now I have it all in my pocket. Yes, this device fits easily into your pocket. I appreciate the protective case with a flip open top. Inside the top cover is a quick guide for commonly used calculations. Better yet, you can place the full instruction guide between the calculator and the protective case. You will never need to look for the instructions as long as you put them in this handy protected area. I need not go into details of what this will do. It would be easier to tell you what it won't do, but I haven't figured that out yet. A dream come true!

This is a great tool for the professional. The calculator comes with instructions that are easy to follow. If you have used a grafting or scientific calculator before, you will feel right at home with this. The calculator is great for figuring out materials required any concrete or masonry job. Just enter in the known variables and the calculator will let you know what is required for the project. It calculates the number of block/bricks, rebar, volume, cubic yards/feet, or number of premix bags. There are also volume calculations for geometric shapes as well. Doesn't matter what you are doing, columns, footings, slabs, paved walkways, walls, etc...this calculator can let you know the exact amount of material required. And...you can perform basic calculator functions a well.

This ConcreteCalc Pro calculator is my first Calculated Industries product and I am very impressed with it. It has a lot of useful built in functions making it easy to estimate the amount of material you need for the job which helps eliminate waste - and keeps profits up. My favorite features are squaring rectangles and figuring stairs. If you pour a variety of shapes or depths, battered walls, or need to do a lot of dimensional work in feet and inches this tool provides everything you need. It gives material requirements in bags or truck loads depending on the size of the job. The included case protects the calculator even if it takes a lot of abuse.

I am NOT a concrete professional, though I might become one with this tool. Not quite - actually - but I got this to calculate my concrete needs for projects I plan to do around my house and yard. First, I am planning to attempt concrete counters for my kitchen remodel and my bathrooms. After that I will be using this fabulous calculator to figure out walkways/paths for my yard. And should I decide to do anything with the hard surfaces in my yard, I'll certainly be able to talk with a professional like I know what I'm doing. Being a math geek, this tool will certainly come in handy. Also, I really appreciate the design as well. It has nicely sized buttons, the "armadillo" case it comes with is great, and I like that the pocket reference guide fits into a slot on the back of the calculator and is protected by the case. Even though I don't need it, it's nice that the quick reference guide label and pocket reference guide also come en Espanol!
