I got this stove in the mail yesterday. It seems like a good stove, but there were a few flaws that if fixed could make it a great stove. First off, when I was trying to put the legs on I noticed that the weld nuts for the set screws had burrs coming out of them either from the drilling of the hole or the threading of the weld nut. The burrs were so bad that I had to get out my rotary tool and grind them down before the legs would slot on. The second flaw is the packaging. It is not sturdy enough for the weight of the product. There were multiple rips and puncture marks in the packaging, and one of the short legs was severely dented. I was able to work the dent out enough for I get it to work. But it was disappointing to have to fix a brand new product. Also, the griddle had rust marks on it, which I assume could have been prevented by proper packaging. I ended up sanding off the pre-seasoning and re-seasoning it because of this. Another flaw is the red logo on the wind shield is not painted with high temperature paint. If you wipe it when your stove is going, it will smear. Finally the griddle doesn’t sit on the grate as nicely as I thought it would. It’s hard to tell if you are supposed to push it all the way back or all the way forward. In either position it isn’t in contact with the rack as much as it seems it should be. The heating is also much hotter at the back of the griddle than at the front. All that said, I am happy that I bought it and it seems like it will cook many great meals for many years. It operates very well and is very intuitive. I just wish that the manufacturer would go the last 10% and fix these little annoying flaws. The customer should be able to use the product right out of the box and not have to fix various things before using it.

So package arrived and it was fairly beat up. one end pushed in, and numerous holes punch and drug in the sides. not all the way thru but enough for me to think "I should have been home so say no" but wasn't so opened it up. I would say they have dealt with numerous shipping claims and returns as it actually had another layer of cardboard around it on the inside. So "+" to them as there was no damage to the Griddle. Set up was super easy. Have used it 5 times now and really do like it. making breakfast goes so quick we are having to learn new flows because so much more can be cooked. So now reasons for not giving it a 5. 1. Burner setting when turning on go: warm, high, med, low. so there is a fairly loud noise when burner are lit as it is usually on the high setting when it lights. I haven't had much luck getting it to light on warm and if you go to warm or low its even more pronounced as of course you've got more gas in it when it lights. 2. When shutting off the Burners i does make a loud pop. Doesn't bother me but make the wife nervous 3. Grill even though "Pre seasoned" still had a couple bad spots. Still working on getting them seasoned up better. 4. I would say this is my biggest complaint. I have not had to go above Med yet with this. The griddle get hot's like it is supposed to. So problem is. As you can see in the picture the griddle handle hangs by the burner control. if you are cooking for a bit, 2lbs side pork, 3lbs sausage, eggs, pancakes. well that handle gets Hot also. so you definitely have to pay attention when making adjustments and if you are going to change from the griddle to a stockpot after using it make dang sure you have a good hot mitt and are not moving it too far. So overall yes i would recommend it. does everything plus that i have wanted so far

This grill is Awesome! Easy to assemble, clean up and store. Great for the price my son has been cooking on it since we got it 06/06/19, great for family gatherings I love it because the grill is removeable

Love the griddle and high output burners. I purchased the commercial drip pan and it’s much better than the drip can. Only problem is one of the knobs broke the first time I tried to light that burner.

JUST BOUGHT FOR CAMPING TRIP WITH THE GUYS. WORKED GREAT FOR COOKING FOR 8 MEN. GRIDDLE IS THE BEST I EVER HAD. HAS HEAT DISAPATERS ON BOTTOM TO DISTRIBUTE THE HEAT.MADE GREAT FRENCH TOAST. I LIKED THE HEAT SETTINGS ALSO. VERY NICE TO CONTROLL. ONLY TROUBLE WAS VERY LOW FLAME GOING OUT IN STRONG WIND.

Love this stove. The auto start doesn’t always work well. I think I have to find the sweet spot. Right now we use on a table without the legs. The griddle that came with the unit is great. We also purchased the 16”artisan pizza oven and it is so nice. Works very well. Home Depot had the best price for our area and the unit arrived quickly and in good condition.

Home Depot offers a great value on this product. We take this grill camping and cook everything on it. Bacon, steak, taco meat, veggies. Puts out serious heat and flame holds steady even in windy conditions. We added the optional side shelves for even more versatility.

I do a lot of backyard cooking almost year long, even in the winter. The burners are very powerful.

Breakfast is served for a family of 5 all at once. This grill has surpassed my expectations. It is pretty heavy, so I would recommend the carry case with wheels if you are a mobile cooker. I would recommend this grill to anyone who enjoys cooking and eating as a family. Great center piece to my campsite. I have only owned it for about a month now and keep it in the camper, thinking about buying one for the deck.

Received the stove about 3 weeks ago, right out of the box I noticed the writing on 2 of the gas control knobs was partially missing, faint to see. You would think quality control would have caught that. I will be contacting Camp chef for replacement knobs. Put that aside the stove works great, love the big 2 burner griddle, heavy though. I bought the 1 burner grill box for the other burner and have used the griddle and grill box at the same time, works fantastic. The grill box worked better than I expected, the drippings really do vaporize and add flavor back into the meat. For the 3 burner stove Camp chef recommends the grill box with the detachable lid, I purchased the model where the lid stay attached and it works great. I do not like having to find a place to set the lid. Over all great stove, appears to be built to last.

Grill came with one broken knob which Camp Chef replaced quickly and easily. Fired up the grill on the first camping trip and worked awesome. Burgers, chicken and veggies. Worked perfectly. Lots of compliments. Easy to clean. Easy to cook on.

Best burner I have owned. Griddle heats up in no time, already used a few times . I have no complaints. I would highly recommend

Expedition Grill was easy to assemble and breaks down and stores in a flash. I searched for the best price and Home Depot had it! Shipped quickly. Very happy with my purchase.

I really like how it cooks!!!! Only minor thing is I can’t find a side table that hooks on to this model ! Other than that it’s great

Best choice I could have made for a gas griddle. My husband has wanted one and I liked the Camp Chef best of all of the options because of the versatility-the ability to add a grill box, use a 14" griddle and grill box or pizza oven at the same time. What he's cooked so far has been outstanding on the flat top griddle. Best steak and burgers ever. Now I know why he wanted one!

A little bulky for camping, but very powerful burners and a great griddle that is included.

Rugged, well built. Love the igniter for the burners. Griddle is a monster, thick steel plate with heat deflector plates that maintain even heat pattern.

This stove is built very well. I particularly like the burner design. It directs the flame straight up so it puts the heat on the bottom of the pot instead of up the sides. The griddle is the other high point. It is made from thick steel and weighs over 20 pounds for some serious grilling.
