Does NOT program
As many others have said: This remote will NOT PROGRAM to my Overhead garage door opener. I read the instruction and tried 3 times.....NOTHING. I'm heading back to HD to return.

stolen car
Out car got stolen. They found it, smashed, tipped aoart bullet holes. Took our new dog car seat and our opener. They also know our address since they riffled through everything. The directions were clear how to cancel all old openers and reprogram. Worked ona 20 yr old OHD brand too

I will be returning the item, it will not program to my garage door. I have two others that I just reprogrammed yesterday and they worked fine. It appears the item was returned before (looking at the packaging) and should have been marked as defective at that time. I am giving it an Average at this time since the others have been great.

They have improved the technology since my last purchase, and it is much easier to sync with my older garage door receiver.

I have a Craftsman garage system and it works perfect! It did take several tries to program but I'm thinking it was because the system was still acknowledging the original remote

This replaced my old opener. Great product. I did have an issue connecting to my garage door. I called customer care and they was able to walk me through it.

KLIK5U
I have purchased the previous generation KLIK3U. It did have dip switches, but the KLIK5U doesn’t.
If I set up each remote button (2) to the specific manufacturer garage door opener ( I have a 1995+ Genie and a 2011+ Chamberlain) by following the programming to designate the different garage door openers, then learn the openers. It work very well. I guess I’m a tech geek for my age, 60+.

Hi, sorry to hear about your remote not programming. If your GDO has light bulbs we can suggest unscrewing them and try to re program it without the light bulbs on as they can emit interference. The instructions did not include the overhead unit I had. When the light on the overhead unit blinked, I knew I had pressed the opener the correct number of times to activate, link and save. Easy to follow text and images in direction with both helpful. I am relieved to be in operation again. Plus the price of the device was reasonable. Been operating flawlessly for a week.

The KLIK5U-BK2 is compatible with openers manufactured starting January 1, 1993, that use photoelectric sensors located near the bottom of the door track.
