Just finished over the Labor day weekend. Toke some time but the outcome was excellent.

Pretty decent
We used this to cover up the ugly dark green countertops in our kitchen. It looks way better then the dark green it used to be. We had to 3 coats of the base just cover the green really well. The 2nd step the stones did not mix well and it did not matter how many times you tried to roll out all the stones to spread them. There’s some spots were you can clearly see just straight lines of the stones and some areas that have non. I just wish the 2nd step was easier to move the stones around. Of course it’s $20 cheaper after we bought it.

Very nice, but I need just one more can...
As you can see from my photo, this stuff is quite pretty. BUT, it would get a higher rating from me, but it doesn't cover 30-40 square feet. More like 20-25. Tops. I measured my kitchen countertop and bath countertop and I should have had plenty based on the sq footage advertised. Now, there are two cans of stone coat (step 2), but I used almost the WHOLE first can to do just my bathroom. And that was where there was the least square footage!! There's NO WAY the rest will do the kitchen. And since I can't buy just a single can, I have to purchase ANOTHER kit and I'm out another 120 bucks. If I ever do this again, I'll make sure I buy a product that also sells singles and not just the whole kit. PS.. Using a paintbrush was much easier than trying to spread it around with the included roller.

      Very pleased with out come!
I had red counter tops when I purchased the house. I saw this on Home Depot page when I searched for counter top paint. It was very easy to do, did it by myself. The kit came with everything you need. Everyone loves the difference it makes. Will recommend it to anyone who wants a easy way to redo counter tops for more than half the cost of replacing them.

I have used other countertop coating systems and this by far has been the best. I used the natural white and was worried it would be a cream color after reading other reviews. I was pleasantly surprised when the finished product was white and not off white. I did use a high quality white primer before I started which may have helped. Wasn’t sure about the look until after I sanded. Sanding (Milwaukee palm sander will really help) brought out the colors in the stones that are in the stone coating. I have just over 50sf of countertop and needed just one kit. I used every bit of it with none to spare. I’m not positive about the final clear coat and it’s durability. So far so good but plan to use an epoxy top coat in the near future just to be safe. Overall, I am impressed, the look of quartz for $100. Would definitely use this again.

Our kitchen reno is 2 yrs away but countertops were horrible. Bought this product hoping for a nice cheap fix. Couldnt be happier with this product. Spreadstone was amazing. Kit gives you everything you need. Vety easy to apply. Turned out beautiful. I can't attest to the durability because its only been on for 2 weeks. So far I'm delighted. Highly recommend.

I’m very pleased with the way it turned out. I purchased a circular sander which made the process much easier. I chose natural white. My cabinets are painted pure white. They look great together. I waited three days before using lightly and then went to full use on day 7. It’s only been two weeks, but so far they seem to be sturdy. I highly recommend this product. It transformed my kitchen at a fraction of the cost of new counters.

        Excellent Counter Resurfacing Kit
Like many people, we have old laminate counter tops that we wanted to replace. However we didn't have the funds to replace the counters. So I looked into a variety of kits and watched a lot of Youtube videos and decided on this kit. Out counters turned out great. It was easy to do and looks like a commercial grade granite countertop. It is time consuming as it takes a couple hours here and there over 3 days to complete the project but the final result is well worth the time.

          spice without the price!!
I love this product. easy to use directions are simple I did a revamp on my counters over weekend but I've decided to wait the full 7 days until placing small appliances and items back on it. it suggest using a orbital sander nd I second that motion if you want a smooth finish. I used sanding blocks surface is smooth meaning no sharp pieces but still slightly bumpy. I don't mind

I used this product on my outdated Corian vanity top and sink. It was somewhat easy to use, however the end result wasn't as flawless as expected. The sanding stage revealed areas that the product's stone material didn't effectively cover the surface,ie thin and transparent look...especially edges where back rolling couldn't take place. It is not as easy as painting! Maybe with more experience I could have overcome this, but as a do it yourselfer, I was "learning on the job". It did cover the sink and vertical surfaces of it, and time will tell if the product holds up to water. All in all an inexpensive solution to remedy an outdated vanity top.

              Natural White... Off-White... Neither
I never write reviews, but I posted a question yesterday about trying to fix the color when it was nothing like advertised, and a rep from Daich responded that I didn't understand that the natural white was off-white, and it's a popular color choice. Well... I DO know colors, and the natural white is NOT white, or off-white, or any other variation of white. It is light brown. I suspect that there was an error in processing, because it looks exactly like Oyster, but perhaps a little darker. Unfortunately that helps me in no way. We were getting the suite ready for new tenants, and now we have white walls, BROWN counters, and grey cabinets. Delightfully janky. And not enough time to fix the issue. I had read reviews prior to purchasing, and many other people mention the natural white is brown, but I assumed they didn't use the product properly, because there are plenty of photos of successful off-white counters. I thought maybe they didn't apply enough Step 1 coats to fully cover the material, or not enough Step 2 coats to cover Step 1. I did neither. Lots of coats were applied. Wish I had listened to the others. Sigh. I gave 2 stars because the product worked very well, better than expected... except the color. I recommend opening the cans first, and if it looks brown, don't assume that it will lighten up, like I did! Return it.

                    Turned out better than expected
Was selling my house, wanted to change up the dated orange counters. The process was a fair ammount of work, but all easy work minus the sanding. Used an Orbital with 220, makes a ton of dust, but ended up smoother than pics i saw in other reviews. Be careful sanding edges, very easy to sand through the coating! I would use again for a quick sale, I wont get to see how well it wears.

Worked like magic!! Exactly as advertised and completely transformed our countertops. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for big impact on a budget and still achieving high quality. A few tips, follow the directions, they are written very well, highly recommend using a palm or orbital sander for professional results. Also, apply the stone coats rather liberally as it’s easy to sand too much but can be fixed with another coat but that adds time. Happy DIYing.

                          Great alternative for replacement
I refinished my 1980 yellow laminate counter tops. Here are some tips and tricks I used after reading and watchinfg about 20 articles/youtube videos: 1. Prep the surface well, by sanding off all the shine. I found that the primer would not adhere in areas that were not sanded as well. 2. Make sure the primer covers all of the surface. I used lodestone which the primer is light grey. The yellow counter top came showed through after the first coat especially in the corners. The stone coat needs the primer in order to adhere. 3. Layer the stone coat in thin EVEN layers. 4. Sand lightly, I used the paper in the kit for the edges, corners and backsplash. For the flat larger surfaces, I used 120 grit with an orbital sander. Some of paint of the stone coat came off if I used too much pressure. To fix this, I used a foam brush (the small kind with the wood end) and LIGHTLY dabbed a very thin layer of the stonecoat (without the stones) to cover the sanding lines and the small spots were the yellow counters were coming through. I let the touch up dry for an hour and checked it again, and repeated until all the sand marks and spots were not visable. I did this this twice because the it looked like it was covered but after it dried I could still see some marks. 4. Let it cure!! 5. I removed the tape BEFORE putting the clear on. This was a suggestion from one of the videos I watched. I left on the plastic drops that I taped to the bottom cabinets which I am glad I did because the clear coat does drip and run. When removing the tape do so very cautiously. Take your time and score the tape if there is dried build up. The last thing you want to do it pull off the beautiful coat you just took so much time to put on. 6. I used the roller for the clear on most surfaces but also used a new tiny sponge with the wood handle for the corners, back splash and also to seal the edges. I also used a industrial lamp to check the surface to make sure all the surfaces had an even thin layer of clear. The first layer was thin and even. It becomes tacky quickly, do small sections as a time. Make sure its even and covered before moving on to the next section. The clear will puddle and create runs if there is too much. After the first layer dried I did a thicker second coat. This is our second home so I left the second coat alone for a week. When I came back the counter top looked amazing. When I used the counter top I noticed that ring marks around the sink areas from wet dishes being left on the countee top. The ring marks came off with diluted dish soap and a soft sponge. I plan on puting another layer of clear in that area if that continues.

                                Easy to use.
I bought this to do some home made end tables made from plywood and two by fours. It was easy to use. As many have stated prep is the key. I had painted them black originally and apparently spilled something on one of them. I had to sand the spot back down to the bare wood as the base coat would not adhere to it. Once that was done the base coat went on fine. I applied two base coats and then the color coat. I waited four hours and applied the second coat. After waiting the allotted time I sanded that down manually and applied the clear coat. I then applied the second clear coat after that dried. I also used the clear coat on the rest of the table to add a nice shine to the original paint on the sides and legs. I think the tables look much better than they did before. Almost like store bought.
