Fits inside the kitchen sink drain to protect our septic system from food waste and debris. I just lift it out and bang it against the inside of the kitchen trash can to empty, then wipe the kitchen drain with a paper towel if little bits got through. Hope to always have these available for purchase. We have an older white style, not sure the brand. Danco is more effective with the concave/convex design. Most drain strainers have a lip that sits iaround the drain on the sink basin which causes food debris to gather around and escape under the lip.

I bought it to protect a "bar sink" drain in my kitchen, rather than for a sink with a garbage disposal. Fit great. It's very light and simple.

This drain cover works great to keep unwanted objects out of disposal. Very easy to clean. I have been using it for 2 months now.

This Danco Kitchen sink and garbage disposal strainer is the best!!! I use it in my kitchen sink and it drains well and catches food or anything else that falls in the sink. It drains really well and fast. I had the white ones before this one. They work well, but start looking cruddy before long. This black stays looking nice and I have had mine for over a year. The friends I have bought this for just love theirs too.

Bought black works great. No different than the white except color. Stops forks ,spoons from going down disposal.

This thing drains very poorly. I've used the white/flat strainer for 15+ years, and loved it. Mines getting gunked up & draining slow, so I bought this as a replacement. What a mistake. This thing drains extremely poorly. Even with nothing to strain out, it's ungodly slow. There's a white/flat version, allegedly in-store-only, although, I did not see that at my store (I was looking for the white one, as that's what I currently have -- I bought this curved black model out of desperation)

Best kitchen sink strainer I've ever had since it is so easy to lift out and empty. When it starts to discolor, just put it in the dishwasher and it comes out pure white again. No mesh to accumulate nasty bacteria and which is impossible to really get clean due to so many surfaces. This strainer is also reversible.

Product was at the pick up desk, very great setup. I only order from places that have no shipping or handling fees - loving it!

One of these was left in a home we purchased two years ago. This little guy works so well, we purchased on for our other home. And today, I bought 5 to give to some of our kids. I recommend this to anyone with a garbage disposer. Works much better then the wire strainers.
