Cons: they went cheap on the insulating to protecting the laser in the travel case

I had to return it . Case wasn't the same...
I had to return it . Case wasn't the same as shown on the pictures, its made of cheap plastic and doesnt protect the laser and you carrying the case around you can hear rattling things inside

I use 1 at work , it’s a great lay...
I use 1 at work , it’s a great lay out laser plus setting elevations. Visibility is not great in a bright area , but inside where it’s dark is super. I also use it for running grid , it’s easy and convenient to use . I still use a dot laser for doing control lines over 50 ft . So yes I do recommend it for construction. It serves its purpose and easy to use and long battery life
