The lock is a little tough, that's my only gripe. I like how it has the fractions right there on the tape. The 10 foot standout claim is pretty exact. Built tough.

Dewalt tape is one of the better measuring Tapes out there. Good recoil,number legibility And priced right. Does rust over time and numbers will Wear.

a little on the cheap side but does the job. what I expected for $20

I hate this tape measure. I don't know if I got a bad one but it won't stay locked with the tape out and then when it closes unexpectedly it goes so fast it has pinched me and given me a blood blister. I'm hoping to take it back for a different one.

Good value tape

Very nice tape measure with easyread markings recommend for novice or professionals alike! not one dislike meets all expectations Ive used it everyday for the last 3 weeks.

Best Tape measure for the money ($12), especially if you need a professional one and you lose them all the time. Stands out to 11 ft without buckling, yet small enough to fit in cup holder.

Picked this tape measure up at my local HD, and its a great tool. Very sturdy, Dewalt quality construction. Markings are easy to read, and it really does stand out the 10ft that Dewalt advertises. Also this tape measure would be a big benefit to those who are new to a tape measure or to ones whi have trouble reading a normal tape. Shows the fractional read out on the tape itself and also has the length measurement for the body of the tape measure on the back lower portion. With a lifetime warranty from Dewalt, cant go wrong with this product!!!

This purchase was made while I was renovating a kitchen for/with one of my good friends. She really wanted to help, but was also REALLY BAD with reading a tape measure. These helped out immensely because actually they have the fractions LABELED on the tape, 1/8", 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" etc. which made it so much easier when I send her outside to cut trim.

Purchased three for holiday presents. Concur with previous reviewer, what's with the packaging ?!? After trying to open the first, I seriously considered taking the other two back. I suspect if I had wrapped them in the original packages my nephews would have destroyed the tape trying to get the packaging off. I read the directions for unpackaging and by the third it had not got any easier. The rating is neutral as I am stil annoyed at the packaging. Will wait for feed back from my nephews. :-)

Tape measure is fine and it's a pretty good value at $13, but who is the genius at Dewalt who came-up with the packaging for this product? It's very frustrating trying to open the dang product after you buy it. I used a few choice words during this process. If you don't like difficult packaging, move-on to another tape measure. I'm serious.

So far has stood up to average to heavy duty use. Hash marks easy to see, smooth action, plus goes well along with all of my Dewalt tools.

I need this tape measure to check alignments on chassis and tanker trailer. It work very well the lines are clear to see and clear to read. It rolls up so smooth and fast just wish the hook on the tape had something different

It's yellow, the tape appears to be 300 feet long, and it un-reals and re-reals 125 feet of the tape freely. So yeah... I think I got what I paid for.

A bit bulky and cloth tape. Wish I had found a more rugged version. The end has a large loop that is very handy for attaching to stakes and small posts. Overall it’s a good tape and great value.

Just what I needed for my job.

Works fine and does the job in measuring. However, there seems to be no free space between tape and the sides of the case, causing excess friction on playing out the tape and in winding it back up. Will that friction fray the edges of the tape over time? Probably.

The clip grubs great but it’s not built to last. The clip breaks after several uses. It usually lasts me a few months with daily use

I have owned many of these. I really like the loop on the end, it fits perfectly over grade stakes. The two down sides are the rewind crank, (not the best) and the attachment of the end of the tape. This is the reason I had to buy new ones. I wish the final attachment was better.
