I only used it 3 times and the retention mechanism no longer works it no longer retains the bit

I wish the store stocked a 2” version. I bought the 6” only because I needed it asap.

Really tough. As usual, Diablo is high quality. I used this to attach a long Diablo speed bit and drill through 3 6x6's. The bit ate wood so fast, it would bind if the hole wasn't cleared every 2 seconds. Good stuff!

good design, poor durability
Used it only 3 times and the retainer holding the spring load fell apart. Will not buy again. Stick to Irwin which i had for a decade never failed on me .

Extension did not allow the drill bit to be extracted after use. Brought it back for a refund and brough the Milwaukee brand.

Drill shank gets stuck in the extension
While this is a great concept, the execution of it is poor. After drilling a few holes with the extension, I attempted to remove the drill bit. Unfortunately the drill shank is stuck in the head.
