I bought a couple of packs of Diablo belt sandpaper that apparently are faulty. They are all breaking at the seam after about 10sec of sanding. At first I thought there was something wrong with my sander (almost bought a new one-even went to the store but changed my mind when I saw the prices). Borrowed a sander from a friend instead and discovered the same thing happened when I used her sander. Found an old sandpaper belt, not Diablo, and voila no breakage. Frustrating to say the least!

Love the Diablo Sanding Belt
The Diablo sanding belt is awesome. Made quick work of an old table that needed smoothed and paint gone. Very durable especially with the work done

Belts lasted 1 min. before coming apart
I was very surprised because Diablo is usually a pretty good brand name with some quality. In all fairness I will say that I have had the belts for approximately 3-6 months on a shelf in my workshop. But I went through 4 belts in last than 5 minutes with each belt coming unglued. I have to say that I am disappointed, guess it’s time to try another brand.

Not impressed
I bought a five pack Diablo 3x18 sanding belts 50 grit. Each belt lasted about 15 seconds before each belt let go at the tape seam. Would not and will not recommend to anyone, very disappointed in diablo's products from the saw blades right down to the sanding belts, never again.

Not worth a crap...do not buy!
Bought the 5 pack of 80 grit to do some sanding on a couple 4x4 posts. I went through the entire pack before even finishing because the belts kept breaking.

Repeated seam failures
Think the longest I could get one to last was about 3 minutes. these simply kept coming apart at the seams.

Truly impressed
I’m a novice knife maker and I use a 3x18 belt sander to flatten my rough forging. I bought the diablo belts after having better results over average belts with Norton Red Heat belts. I thought they were the same. They are definitely not the same. I was blown away by the amount of metal that these belts moved with the cheap belt sander I have them on. Again, truly impressed by these belts.

Purchased DIABLO 3 X 18 in. 80-Grit. Sanding Belt to help Grandson Joshua build a porch swing. The sanding belt is tough and durable. Only one belt was necessary for the entire project. The belt cleaned up with a brush and a little water and is ready for another project. Home Depot had all the wood and hardware we needed to complete our Grandfather and Grandson project. A great experience for both of us.

Fails at Joint
While sanding my new deck before staining, i went through 8-9 of these belts. All failed at the joint, some within minutes. Very frustrating. Up until they failed, they did a nice job actually sanding, but i can't rexommend.

Bought a 5 pack of the 36 grit for my Ryobi BE 318-2 belt sander and the just didn't last. They came apart at the seams after 5 minutes of use on a painted deck. I made sure the nails were countered sunk.
Won't use any Diablo belt sander product.
Other vendor products are working just fine with my Ryobi.

Great for removing old paint from large window frames as long as you keep the sander flat and moving. But be aware you can easily gouge the wood if over sanded. Mine came out great for a DIY project and the paint laid down very easily.

Excellent for Paint Removal
I used this 50 grit sanding belt to remove excess paint in a sign project I had. It did a great job on four different sign boards. I highly recommend it!

Works Great and Last
Bought this to use with a new sander. I used 50 Grit to remove stain from the wood railing of my back covered patio. I then used this 120 Grit to smooth the surface back out before painting.
Each belt last a long time. They stayed in place well on the Ryobi Sander I purchased. Great buy.

Worked great!!!
We sanded the white paint off of our kitchen cabinets down to the bare wood, then refinished them with poly urethane.. The white is where the wood was cut out with a router before they were painted.. The apple stickers are covering holes from the old handles.. They came out great...... The entire job cost less than $250.00 including a new belt sander.. A cabinet builder wanted over $15,000 for new ones or $11,000 to refinish them with new doors and hardware using the old frame and drawers..

great quality/reasonable cost
I get a lot of use with these belts. They wear well. The only ones I've had to dispose of were the ones that I accidently ran into a nail or sharp edge.

I had to order the belt sander and the belts together. They told me my order was in. I picked up my order only to find the belts came in after weeks of waiting. I'm still waiting more weeks later for the belt sander to use it. Very poor customer service.
