Used the heather for a camping trip to Yosemite from Jan 5 thru Jan 9 in Yosemite NP. Camping in the snow! Set up a 8x8" party tent with all 4 walls and put our stove/kitchen in there. Hung up our wet clothes and boots just under the canopy to dry. Kept a door and window open and ran the heather at the lowest setting. Dry clothes and a warm space to relax. At least 35 degree warmer than outside the tent. Burns a bit of propane but happy camper in cold Yosemite. This heather was a total life saver.

    Not so sure anymore
After 2 years of working perfectly, the plastic parts went up into flames. Waiting for customer service response . In addition, but forgivable, the somewhat flimsy attachment to the tank.

Poured new concrete in my garage in Jan an needed to keep it from freezing. Temperatures dropped daily to under 18 degrees over the next three weeks and was able to keep the temperature around 46 degrees just using one burner set at low. Worked perfect able to get over 35 hours on one 20lb LP tank. Very happy with the performance of this heater

The Home Depot and Dyna Glo are supplying the perfect sized space heater ! This heater, (see photos) is perfect for a medium sized room or work shop/shed ! It will fit any Propane tank that has a handle circle of 7 inches or smaller to mount on. The controls are easy to read. The red button is to be depressed for 10 seconds to insure that heat grid hot enough to stay lit ! It gives off no bad odors but you should have some ventilation to be 100% safe ! A great little heater !!

My husband likes his new Dyna-Glo portable heater. We bought it to keep his approximately 35 x 20 barn workshop area warm. This unit does so and we've had temps in in 30s( he keeps an oscillating fan going too, to circulate the warm air). The unit is able to bring the temp up to about 58 degrees in 20 minutes in his workshop.

It's not easy to light. You need a giant flame to light it. A regular match or lighter won't work. It says 1000 sq. ft output but I pretty much need to be within 50 ft to feel it.

Had for 18 months. Used in winter to put together shed and I enjoyed the warmth it put off. Now getting cold again and I pulled from box and went to lit it. Holding the ignition button it lit right up. After releasing button is would go off. I did this push in ignition button, let match and has it working and held button in until it got very hot. About 60 seconds. Released button and it shut off? Did all the trouble shooting but nothing kept it lit! Shoot the tilt over and heard ball inside. Seems to be ok? Not happy with it now because I cannot get it to stay on. Will download schematics and try to determine if thermal coupler needs replaced?

This was ordered online and shipped to my home without issue. This has been getting some use this winter with jobs and projects I have been doing in the garage, and this has done well to heat the work space. This attaches to a normal propane tank used for a propane barbecue grill without any special tools or fittings needed. Lighting the heater was easy enough, though at first I had mistaken the safety valve for a burner igniter. I would not recommend using a match to light this burner as if you let out too much fuel it will have a strong ignition.

I use this Double Burner Propane Heater in my garage to heat up my workout area. It’s very cold up in Wyoming and need to heat the garage before hand for just about anything I do in there. What’s great about this is you can light just one side if you want. You do not need both lit. You do have to light them manually. After they are lit, there are three heat settings. I’m on my second propane bottle and it is working great. I would recommend lighting both and then going down to one to maintain the heat. Great product!

The outside daytime temperature in the Winter, averages 44 degrees, in our area of Northwest Oregon. When I'm working in my ventilated farm shop, the cold stiffens my fingers & it gets difficult to work on projects. Right out of the box, this Dyna-Glo single burner 15,000 BTU propane heater, was completely assembled & extremely easy to attach to the propane tank & light. No tools were needed. The users manual clearly showed all parts & how to use them, including simple lighting instructions. The heater lit immediately, with just one match. The heat regulator knob has three adjustable heating levels: low, medium & high. Immediately, I felt the radiant heat & within minutes I was feeling warm. The heat was strong on any of the regulator settings. This unit's padded support leg, sits on the propane tank & is secured with a quick adjustment of it's wing nut. The unit is solidly built, with mostly steel parts. The protective cage around the front & back of the heated area, kept me safe from the hot surface area. Lighting the unit couldn't have been easier. I opened the tank valve, turned the regulator to "High", inserted a lit match into the ignition hole & then pressed in the safety shut-off valve button. I held in the button for 30 seconds, before releasing it. The heat output was immediate & strong. This is a great product!

Keeps my non-heated shop warm enough to work in when it is cold outside. .I received this heater in exchange for an evaluation. There is a minimal amount of assembly required when you get this heater out of the box. The instruction sheet is well-written and helpful so I had no problems with assembling the parts and getting the heater attached to my propane tank. The hookup feels solid and it is easy to move the tank and heater combined (not while it is heating.) When I tested the heater my shop was cool, really low temps hadn't shown up yet, but I was able to feel the difference the heater made in keeping the area near it warm. Even here in the Hill Country of Texas we get some frosty temps so I will really appreciate having this unit later. Set up was easy, the unit is sturdy, and works well. I highly recommend this product.

This heater works well in my garage to give a little warmth while I’m in there working. We also like how it warms up our screen porch on chilly mornings. Though it does put out heat in a semi circle, its most intense concentration is straight in front of the burner as you would expect and then it quickly tapers off to the sides. I tested the tip over, auto shut off feature which did work as I tilted the tank at about a 45* angle. Just in case you should forget the steps of the lighting procedure, there’s a handy instructions tag attached to the burner for easy reference. Though a match is required to ignite it, I use a long stem disposable butane lighter instead.

This heater works well and is easy to set up. It puts out plenty of heat for my single car garage, BUT you HAVE to remember it will use up all the oxygen in an enclosed space, so you MUST leave a window or door open. To set up the heater you just have to attach the tank bracket with 2 supplied screws, attach the bracket to the tank with the wing nut, screw the hose into the tank (left hand thread) open the tank valve, set the heater control on high, push and hold the red button and light. You can only light one of the burners at a time. You can run either one burner or both. The only things I didn't like about the heater is that it is a little difficult to get the match to the lighting hole especially the one that is placed in between the two burners, you will want to have either the long fireplace matches or a long handle lighter, (they could have included one) Also you tend to bend over the burners when you are lighting them, so it would be easy to burn your face and or hair when they light. I would prefer it to have the piezo ignition. You can feel the radiant heat for about 3 foot in front of the heater. It has 3 heat settings Low, Medium, High, which seem to work with either one or both burners running. It is about 17" wide, about 15" tall and about 7" deep. You can mount it on the tank with the burner facing over the tank or away from the tank. All in all a decent heater that works well

This is a nice little heater for use in a somewhat open work space such as my unheated, detached garage. It is very easy to install on a 20 lb propane tank and once installed, it was easy to light. It features an anti-tipover switch and a "fire-out" thermocouple that cut off the gas in the event of those kinds of events. It mounts securely to the valve on the propane tank (left-hand thread) and then you rotate a front support down that braces the assembly to the upper surface of the tank. That support is just behind the tag that has lighting instructions in the first picture. The instructions say to light it with a match, but I found that lighting it with a long reach butane lighter was easier. To light it, you turn the gas on at the tank, turn the heater control valve on (the black knob under the heating element in the first picture) and then, with the lighter inserted through the hole on the left side of the radiant reflector producing flame, you push a button behind the reflector to start the gas flow. This is just like lighting the pilot light in a gas furnace. The heater will immediately light and you hold the button in for 30 seconds to give the thermocouple time to heat up. The heater will quickly start producing radiant heat, which is shown in the second picture. The control valve on the heater has three settings, Low, Medium and High, and the heater produces a very comfortable level of heat.

Great little heater for those odd moments and emergencies. Generally I am not at ease with using the propane tanks but this was easy to set up and get going right out of the box. I can think of so many uses for it but the reason I got it is that we are near kidding season with the goats and weather is unpredictable. My hope is that I can turn this on and give the kids a bit of warmth while mama is cleaning them up and I check them over. While our barn is wonderful a bit of extra heat is a godsend especially with early spring births. The directions were very easy to understand and it seems well made and sturdy.

This heater is an excellent tool for the man that likes to work year round in his garage or shop. It is easily assembled-two screws and a bracket that allows you to mount the heater atop a propane bottle. I liked the feature of 360 degrees heat radiation and the 40,000 btu capability it put off plenty of heat. It keeps the cold at bay when I’am working in the barn, I highly recommend this product.

Great little heater that works off of a 20 pound propane tank only . Well made and I used this in my garage and ditched the old kerosene torpedo heater that was very noisy and smelly . The fumes from this heater are very minimal and a very slight hissing noise from the fuel being burned off is hardly noticeable. This unit has an OFF position and 3 heating settings, high, medium and low. Safety feature build in that if you move the unit slightly it will shut down. Manual ignition is with a match and I use one of those long nosed butane electronic matches with the built in Piezo igniter, works great ! This unit does NOT have a Piezo igniter. Very pleased so far with it. For the price and well made product I do recommend this heater. Comes with a 1 year warranty and looks well built.

        Poor Customer Service-no parts available
The heater functions fine. It seemed like it was going to work. The heater included a parts list. There were 3 parts I ending up needing. I contacted the company listed in the manual. I gave part numbers and wanted to purchase the parts. I received emails that none of them are available. I understand, if this were an older unit, but it's brand new, and I have no way to fix it. I'm not sure why they supply a parts list if you can't get them. I'd suggest getting a different brand heater.

Does a very nice job at heating my garage. Very easy to use, the only thing I would take issue with is the tank clip makes it a little difficult to turn the tank on and off kind of tight.

The burner works as it should, but when I ordered it, it said that there was a $25 rebate and the final price would be $25 less. So when I checked out it was full price so I figured that they would send me a mail in rebate but I never received that either
