I bought these to use with some Rubbermaid shelves. They were just perfect in my garage for a little garage makeover. Next time i will order the matching screws. All in all a good basic bracket tor a low price.

If I could leave a zero, I would.
I used these to put up my glassware shelving. I only had three sets of glassware on the shelf, nowhere near the 100lb limit these brackets say they hold. And the bracket bent! It bent and dumped all my expensive glasses on the floor, shattering them.

The color is exactly as the photo shows, they are very strong, and you can't beat the price.

Sturdy and easy to manage. Predrilled holes are convenient and functional. I used these as a rack for skis so i did not put a shelf on the bracket. Because skis are not too heavy, i flipped the bracket so the short side is against the wall and i can get 3 small or two large skis on each bracket (as well as two snowboards or skateboards).

* Be aware: the dimensions are less than approximate!
the wall leg, called "12 inches" is actually 11 3/4 (fairly close), but the shelf leg, called "10 inches" is only 9 inches long, so keep that in mind when you're figuring your shelf depth ... otherwise, they're well made, easy to install and a great value

Very strong and sturdy. After purchasing four different types of brackets ranging from $2 to $8 each, this is the one we chose to use. Very easy to use with a drill and cost effective. So far, the shelf is holding up well.

Shelf Bracket
Need to build a couple of shelf for the garage and want the shelf be 10" deep so these 10 in by 12 in would work great. Need a shelf that was 1x10 6 feet long so I need three brackets. They recommended #7 but I used #8 screws. Didn't have to drill them out. I screwed them into the studs so it would handle the weight. Some people are asking the which way to hang the bracket. The long end is goes on the wall and short end hold the shelf. They are sold single and not pairs. It support up to 100 pounds. Very satisfied with the products.

Good light duty shelf bracket for the price.
This shelf bracket is formed from stamped steel sheet metal and painted. The rolled center rib on each bracket provides strength without much cost through using thin sheet metal.
The manufacturer recommends mounting the long leg of each shelf bracket against the wall.
A label on the back of each shelf bracket notes "This Leg Against Wall" in bold letters and also recommends the mounting hardware to use.
Screw Size #7 x 1-1/4" long for mounting the shelf against the wall and screws size #7 x 1/2" long for mounting a shelf on top of the brackets.
Have used a different size model of shelf brackets from this manufacturer before and did not notice the small labels on the back of the brackets.
6 screws total are required to mount each shelf bracket. 3 long screws to secure each bracket to a wall surface preferably at a wall stud location for maximum strength.
3 short screws are required to attach a shelf onto the top of each bracket.
The mounting holes in each shelf bracket provide enough clearance for a #8 wood or sheet metal screw to pass through.
Have used various types of screws to attach these brackets to wall studs including sheet rock screws, wood screws and sheet metal screws. Have also used short length wood screws or sheet metal screws to attach a shelf to top of the brackets.
Noticed that the Home Depot website has a hardware kit for attaching a pair of shelf brackets:
Crown Bolt
Model # 14845
Internet # 202824721
Store SKU # 463863
#7 x 1-1/4 in. and #7 x 1/2 in. Gray Shelf Bracket Screw Kit (12-Pack)
The spacing for the top mounting holes on each shelf bracket is 1-3/16" which does not allow much room for error for both screws to align and engage into a standard 1-1/2" thick wall stud.
The bottom mounting hole is located in the center of each bracket.
Sometimes it is only possible to securely capture only one of the top mounting holes into a wall stud which is adequate most of the time.
Have sometimes had to drive one of the top mounting screws in at a slight angle to capture a wall stud when the screw misses the wall stud when driving it in straight.
Shelves installed with these shelf brackets are only as strong as how well each bracket is secured to a wall preferably to a wall stud. Also strength and stability of a shelf depends on the length, width and thickness of the material used for a shelf, the quantity of shelf brackets used and distance between shelf brackets, and how much weight is stored on a shelf, etc..
A shelf material of 9-1/4" width minimum is required with this bracket model with the long side of each bracket attached to a wall.
The approximate dimensions for the top leg of each bracket is 9-1/8" long and the bottom leg is 11-9/16" long.
Nearly any 1x10 or 1x12 pine, oak, or composition board can be used for a shelf, or plywood depending on the thickness of the plywood and the weight of the material that is going to be stored on a shelf, and how aesthetically pleasing one requires for a shelf.
Handy Little Light Weight Bracket works well for what intended for.

screw location
Finding stud edges is useful and angling screws necessary. Unless you drill a center hole and install a 2.5 inch construction grade screw through curved section.

I'm reorganizing my wood shop and needed shelf brackets to build shelves for more storage. This size is strong enough to hold what I'm using them for at 3' spacings. Good price and works well.
