Stupid stuff manufacturers and Home Depot do
First - I already had the review written. Went to take a photo of the product. 10 seconds later I return and the stupid Home Depot website deleted my comments and forwarded to another product page. 1 STAR for Home Depot customer service for making me write this review twice. Second - Why does this manufacturer put a 2 foot x 2 foot product information sticker directly on this product? Forcing the buyer to waste 10% of the product or waste a stupid amount of time removing the product label?

About 15 inches unusable for my needs
The insulation itself is fine, but the packaging is terrible. The huge product detail sticker used to keep the roll together is impossible to remove cleanly, so if you need 10ft of clean reflectix, you’re going to need a bigger roll.

So far, it has served its purpose. I am using it to insulate the inside of my chihuahuas shelter (used an Aldi box to cover her from any drafts/AC vents). Everything works well and she’s nice and cozy. HOWEVER, the only minus one star was because of the label sticker. It is HORRIBLE to take off and underneath it, near the middle, is the other tape that holds it together.

Sticky label is a major pain to get off
For the project I am working on, I needed this kind of insulation and it will be visible. There’s a massive sticker that wraps all around the product with product info and instructions on it. Took me triple the time it would have taken to complete the project because of the label. It’s a mess to get off. It doesn’t peel of in one piece. It splits apart no matter how slow you go leaving a mess that includes adhesive residue. Major pain and very time consuming. Good times.

        Not great
Thin and separates. Costs too much for this quality

Perfect size for my 3 car garage
I have a garage with 3 individual doors. Each door had 4 panels, 16" x 95". This 16"x100' roll was perfect - the width of each piece exactly matched the panels, so I ended up only having to tape the edges. And I needed about 96 feet of insulation to cover the 12 panels, so the 100 foot roll was just what I needed. I just installed it today, so I can't say how well it will actually work at keeping out the Texas heat, but it looks nice enough and wasn't a big hassle to install, so I can't complain.

            What a Dumb Idea!
I haven’t even gotten to use this product because I’ve spent the last hour trying to get the sticky paper backed label off of it without damaging the product. Whoever thought this label was a good idea needs a new job! I hope this product works better than its packaging.

Folks this is the Staple Tab so it’s THINNER
I purchased 2 of these rolls to cover some of my Westside windows in my apartment to block out the sun and help reduce the heat. The staple tab rolls are much thinner than the normal rolls. I like this because it’s much easier to work with and seals my windows great. Only downside to this product is the giant sticker they put on it with the name and information. Takes up about 2 feet of material. Didn’t bother me for this project but I can see how that would be annoying for others.

                10 percent of material lost
Good quality product but there is a label and shipment invoice pouch stuck directly to insulation that you can not remove that covers over a foot of the product

                  Half The Thickness Of Reflectix
This is "reflective insulation" by Everbilt. Not Reflectix. Too thin for RV or van windows. It's kind of like trying to wedge a towel into window. It will just fall out. There's no structure. You would need to permanently fasten this with foil tape or glue. Also the huge label is glued directly on to the roll and it's not coming off without damage to the insulation. It would have been better to wrap the rolls with plastic and glue the label to the plastic.

The now insulated west facing garage is cooler
A roll insulated my garage doors. Folds secured the insulation in the top/bottom of the door panels. Various lengths were cut due to the hurricane reinforcement. Double-sided carpet tape and aluminum foil tape also secured the insulation. Folding the insulation over makes it easier to install. Some panels got an extra layer of insulation with 1” air gap. The ratios of the single/double insulated to uninsulated heat transfer were 0.6 and 0.31. Weight increase was negligible.

                      Terrible packaging ruined product
The roll is 10 feet long, but they closed the role by putting an enormous sticker with product information around it. For my purposes, I needed the sticker gone, but it is stuck to the product. There is about a foot and a half of the roll that is completely unusable to me. The sticker will not peel off because it is gigantic, and it shreds no matter how carefully you try to peel it off.

                        Very wastefull
Good example of a fine product that is partially ruined by stickers. This is PURE CRAP! You will waste about 2 feet on every roll if you dont want this unsightly issue, which in my case is AN ISSUE! Will be USING SOMETHING DIFFERENT FOR THE NEXT TIME.

Hi Ginny. Very sorry for your experience with our roll. We are adjusting this internally to reduce the label size and also use adhesive that pulls away easier. We're sorry it didn't work out this time, but we appreciate you letting us know your issue.

Duct and garage doors were cold to start and could feel it retain heat after. Bedrooms above garage maintained more heat

RW, that's what were talking about. Making cold things warm and warm things cold, that's what we're here for. Giving great reviews, that's what you're doing.

Cant be used in open areas
Bought this to help with winter heat loss in a my basement. It WAS to be used in a rea that would be seen a lot. The product comes with a large sticker that is almost impossible to use. Not sure what I'm doing with this now, might return it and use a foam board product instead. It's real stupid for these guys to plaster this sticker on what might have been a fine product for my purposes.

                            Poorly made
Bought 2 rolls. On one roll the reflective coating peeled off the bubble wrap. Absolutely useless. And, yes, the label is a giant sticker that took 30 minutes to remove.

                              Reduced garage temps.
This stuff actually worked. My garage foor faces the afternoon sun, and turns the garage into an oven here in south Texas. At 110 outside and heat index of the surface of the sun, it was 140 degrees inside the garage. You could stand near the door and feel the heat radiate onto you. This miracle stuff was easy to cut with scissors and glue on with caulk style loctite adhesive. It reduced the temp to 110. Now you can stand next to the door and not cook. May have taken an hour to do by myself. Still deciding if i shoild glue foam board to the back of it for more insilation.

                                Great product poor execution
This manufacture must not care about the customer. What if I needed all 10 feet. Please tell me why a 12” x 18” crappy sticker label is necessary. It legit makes me never want to buy this again if needed. The product worked great Just terrible packaging/label. It doesn’t come off clean and as some what of a perfectionist I hate this so much. Why not a small, partially sticker band and throw the rest of the label inside rolled up? Once again, great product poor execution.

Had to purchase another in store.
I had to purchase another one of these in store and had severe issues with the sticker on the first one. Took around 30 minutes just to fully get it off using a bunch of various soaps and cleaners. Thought the first sticker was a fluke and that heat may have had something to do with it. Turns out it's by design it seems and it's just using a weak paper sticker with strong adhesive. Use something less strong please. I guess it depends on the use if the sticker will be an issue.

If you accept that you’ll lose 2 ft of the roll due to not being able to remove the sticker, then you’ll be fine with this product. What an insane choice in packaging.

I used this for gazebo roof. Very inexpensive way to cut out the heat. After installation, roof went from 150 degrees to 106 after one hour. will buy more to add to garage door.

Decent product but beware… if you are using this for anything that you care about the looks beware you will either have a massive sticker label on your project or, you will lose 8 square ft, or 4ft of roll about 2 ft long which is the label. They should package this different to just have a plastic ring around it instead of sealing it closed with a giant sticker that wraps around the product you can’t get off kinda ruining the square footage they sell you.

First foot and a half is useless
On top of taping the roll in 2 spots, which would be sufficient to hold the roll closed they put this huge 1' × 1' sticker on the roll which is impossible to get off with out ripping and since the roll isn't covered in plastic there is now chunks of label stuck on my reflective surface rendering it useless

I live in Florida. I have a enclosed porch that seemed to be more of a hot box. I noticed my ceiling seemed very hot, so tried this radiant barrier out. I was very surprised by how well this blocks out the heat. The pictures can show you the temperature difference between with and without the barrier!

In the picture below the piece on the left is from a roll I bought at least five years ago. Note it's easily twice as thick as the stuff on the right which I bought five days ago. Pretty sad. This cannot have the same insulation capability as the old stuff. Really disappointed. Had no choice, it's all you can get.

This company Everbilt shouldn’t be allowed to look like Reflectix insulation! It’s not only expensive, but not of good quality and very thin! I’m so disappointed with this company Everbilt! Shame on them for ripping off hard working people of their hard working pay. We’re stuck placing this thin foil that is of bad quality because we need to over our shed fast, but now we must use double of insulation! Don’t bother buying this unless you have free money to spend. Shame on Everbilt!

                                                      Very thin. Reflectix is better.
This is advertised as being 0.26 inches thick, however we measured them as 0.13 inches thick at the widest point of these rolls! Reflectix brand rolls are double the thickness as you can see in my photo comparison. Also, Everbilt slaps on a very large sticker that is impossible to remove from the roll, so now it's a fire hazard. We will be returning these rolls in exchange for the Reflectix brand.
