Within the second day of putting them on, the leather of the right glove just ripped all across the top of the palm. So much for quality control.

The double leather holds up better than normal leather gloves when handling retaining wall blocks, shoveling, etc. I just wish The Home Depot carried XL size.

You could say these gloves are "Hurricane Irma Tested and Proven."
This answer is from a confirmed purchaser and user of these gloves. In full disclosure, I am a Home Depot employee, however I'm not being compensated by The Home Depot for this answer.
I purchased the gloves for personal use when preparing for and recovering from Hurricane Irma in Naples, Florida. They protected my hands when installing and removing aluminum and steel hurricane panels; from broken glass and plastic bottles; torn aluminum beverage cans; torn aluminum down spouts, gutters, siding and soffit; damaged aluminum window frames and broken window glass; broken concrete roof tiles; aluminum and steel screen used for stucco walls; and nails and screws protruding through pieces of wood. These materials never punctured the thick protective leather or denim and my hands were never injured when using these gloves. Don't confuse low cost with low quality. These gloves are substantial, heavy duty hand protection. Over twenty-plus years in the Army I wore many different types of gloves for hand protection. The Home Depot's "Firm Grip Orange Suede Cowhide Leather and Denim Large Work Gloves" protected my hands as well as any of the gloves I wore in the Army.

My experience with these gloves differs from many of the other reviewers. Sure, these do not offer the quality of a 20$ glove, but they are durable, reliable, and easily replaced. I have used a dozen pairs of these over the last two years. During this time I subjected them to a variety of different indoor and outdoor projects including demolition, yardwork, and other assorted heavy-duty maintenance tasks.
They perform well, especially considering the price point. I have never had any issues with the stitching or gloves tearing, and often replace them solely because they have outlived their usefulness and have become too dirty that there is no longer a hope of cleaning them.
I have used them to pull briars, nettles, and all manner of undesirable plants with great success. In fact, the only time I've ever been annoyed with these gloves was dealing with a row of shrubs that were covered in small narrow thorns. Alone, these gloves offered no protection. But after double layering them they worked reasonably well. Fortunately I've since destroyed those horrible shrubs, so they no longer plague me. Beyond that experience I've never had anything else unpleasant happen with this product and honestly, I don't think any glove on the market would have been able to contend with those horrid, horrid shrubs and their ridiculous spines.

I needed another pair of leather and denim gloves. The two pair I currently was using were my dad's and they were about 30 years old.
I was in Home Depot and grabbed these since they looked a lot like my old ones, except for the orange color. Big mistake.
Within weeks, the stitching holding the extra layer of leather over the pointer finger came loose on both gloves and the extra layer now flaps around. Also the denim is already torn with bare knuckle areas now showing.
What a disappointment!
I now have gone to Wally World and bought their denim and leather gloves for under $2. No pointer finger layer on these, just nice leather.
From what I can tell, the Wally World gloves should last me longer that the ones from Home Depot. Worst case scenario...even if the Wally World gloves only last as long as the HD gloves, they are less than half the price. But trust me, looking at the construction, the gloves from WM will last much longer simply because they don't have the design flaw of the pointer finger layer.

Seriously poor craftsmanship
These gloves are so poorly made it is not funny. We got these gloves one month ago and they have fallen apart. I would not even bother to take up precious retail space if I was Home Depot. They are not worth the low price they are sold at.

Still nowhere to be found in the store. Have to order online and have someone pull them. Then amazingly they’re ready for pick up. No one at the store knows where they are but someone knows how to pull them?!?

Contain blue dye, don't get them wet
The leather is dyed blue and will stain your hands if you get the gloves wet. Now I look like a smurf.
