Once we started using the dehumidifier our apartment is so more comfortable and the strange smells were gone within hours. Great purchase and is now my new essential in my home.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted a dehumidifier that would shut fan off when compressor stops and that did not have a loud fan. This model does both. It is in an otherwise damp basement. I can run the fan on medium (quiet), yet the unit controls the humidity well and the fan stops running when the compressor does. I run the drain hose directly to my sump pump well. I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a month ago and I am so glad I did. It has been a game changer for us. We live in a 32 ft. Class A full time and when cold weather hit our humidity level skyrocketed. Our windows were fogged up and running with water. Everyday we were toweling the windows and cleaning up the puddles but the humidity was so high the towel wouldn't dry out. It took the new Frigidaire 2 days and all that magically disappeared. Even our bedding was staying damp and our windows were starting to grow mold. Now our windows stay dry and the moisture level in our RV stays at a comfortable level. We are really surprised at the amount of water it collects and the fan although we can hear it running is not terribly loud. It fills up for us every 3 days to dump and it is working great. I like the cleanable filter and that it let's us know when it needs changed. I also like the shut off feature when the tank is full and needs dumped. It is also easy to keep clean with the removal of the handle on the tank. I add a little baking soda to keep the ph in the tank so it won't collect mold and it deodorizer the tank too. We keep it running 24/7 but there is a timer you can set. We haven't yet used it. Thanks Frigidaire for making our full time RV life much better.

I'm using this in an upstairs hallway between three rooms and have dropped humidity from the low 60%s down to the upper 40%s. I added a condensate pump and ran the tubing to a bathtub drain to keep from having to empty the bucket daily.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best dehumidifier I have ever bought,very quiet to others I have had,electronic control panel very easy for my wife to operate,window on bucket is very nice to see how much water it has collected before you have to leave the house for the day.Frigidaire dehumidifier display vs my Therm-pro meter only 3% difference.Best is when dehumidifier reaches desired setting it shuts down, where others I have had fan keep running.Over all I have a few units of different makes this one works very well for I.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a warranty replacement unit, the first one failed after15 months and this one lasted only 4 months! The new unit seems to have developed a freon leak and now the coils are covered in ice. I don't understand why the company can't build a reliable dehumidifier, it's not a complicated machine.

After 3 months of use, this Dehumidifier formed thick ice under the filter. I shut it off, the ice melted, next day, same thick ice formed. I am trying to get a replacement.

Once moisture reaches your desired humidity level, dehumidifier shuts off & restarts automatically. Theres a washable filter & availability to use attached water holding tank or hook up with hose to extract water. Good effective product, with reasonable price.

I purchased the Frigidaire FFAD5033W1 50-pint Dehumidifier to better control the relative humidity in my encapsulated crawl space. Before installing this unit, the % relative humidity in my crawl space was 58% - 62%. I wanted to control it in the range of 50% - 55%. Rather than purchase an expensive whole-home unit, I decided to first try out this portable unit to see how it worked at controlling the relative humidity. The really nice feature about this Frigidaire unit is that it had a drain connection. I purchased a VCMA-20ULS Condensate Removal Pump also from Home Depot. I connected it to the dehumidifier and it pumps the water to a drain that goes to the outside of my crawl space. The entire system has been in operation for about two weeks and the relative humidity in my crawl space is now automatically controlled at a set point of 55% and no emptying of the water bucket is required! I have a continuous % relative humidity probe in my crawl space and it has consistently measured 52% - 53% at this set point. So for now, no need to buy an expensive whole home dehumidifier!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine is very efficient and after turned on, my spacial basement humidity dropped from 60% to 45% within an hour. It also runs quietly thanks to its 3-level fan adjustments. Hope it lasts longer than the old 70 pint one it replaced.

Amazingly quick delivery. Easy set up. Put up on a cart so easier to access the bucket. Since floor has a slight grade placed it so the drain end is lower. Works like a champ. Read the instructions often. Suggest they put on the outside of the shipping box in BIG letters about setting it upright and letting it sit for an hour before operating. When ours was delivered it was left sitting on its side on the porch. And cleaning the filter every two weeks is important.

This humidifier is extremely efficient quiet and clean Lee designed. The exterior is a polished rigid plastic with very clear controls and brilliant illumination. Condensate collected empties either into an easily accessible interior container, or in my case directly into my hose connection into my basement drain. we’ve had other humidifiers, but none as quiet and affordable. Recommend anyone looking for a new humidifier put it at the top of your list.

I researched extensively and found that there was nothing comparable in its class. Before the Frigidaire 50 there were times the house sat at over 70% humidity even with the AC running. we live in South Texas in a 1700 square-foot newer house with high ceilings and very good efficiency. Humidity would always find its way in. Now I’m pleased to say that we sit comfortably at under 50% humidity as our new normal.

This dehumidifier simply took over the job. It’s powerful and it’s quiet and it is amazing. It got rid of my basement smell within hours. Great unit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dehumidifier has an easy to use drain system that connects directly to the unit itself. You unscrew the cap and directly attach the continuous drain hose to it. I've used other dehumidifiers in the past that had straws or other sketchy attachment methods, but the Frigidaire eliminates that fiddling. It's quiet on operation and effective at its job. I would have liked to see a read out of the current humidity next to the currently set humidity, but that was something I accepted as a limitation when I bought this product.

It works well enough. It just didn't last. Broke after 2 years. I wouldn't buy it again for the price. I had a different brand name with a similar build and its on 7 years and still going.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Owning a dehumidifier is a first for me. This model was recommended by a neighbor and is living up to its advertised performance. It currently is located in my bathroom and in no time lowers the humidity, after a shower, from 61 to 55. The generated noise is acceptable and does not interfere with sleeping. I would recommend it.

As others have shared, at just under 2 years old this unit is displaying the EC code. If you unplug it and plug it back in the code returns. The quality of Frigidaire has certainly gone downhill over the years and it's a shame we're loading up the landfills with all of these poorly designed dehumidifiers. I'll definitely be trying a different brand moving forward.
