Three of the panels were damaged or broken.

Did what it was supposed to do: replace some broken asbestos.

It was exactly what I wanted and it installed seamlessly with the older shingles on the house.

One of the few alternatives I've found for 1958-era 14" relief siding. The shingles are flat and must be firred (I used foam insulation strips) to match hang angle. I drilled additional mount holes with a glass drill bit (they are brittle,, of course). Cut with diamond angle grinder. Not too easy but came out great.

Exactly what I needed to replace a few broken asbestos shingles

On detached garage, fits the long reveal we wanted to match our home. However a little difficult to work with, diamond saw to trim and carbide masonry to drill. Fragile generally.

Panels broke off at the pre-drilled holes during installation. They shatter like fine china when dropped…not so good to side a house with.

Worked exactly as expected. Easy to install. Delivery was faster than expected. No hassle when picking up.

Very fragile Was not what I expected at all

I had some concerns that this product might not match the existing siding on the house I am renovating. I enclosed a carport, turning it into a garage and wanted to match what had been added at some point in time. I was very pleased when I received the shipment and saw that the product matched almost exactly. The shipment came via truck and was so well packed that there was no damage. Once I began installing the product I was even happier. Taking my time cutting, placing and nailing the siding to the exterior sheathing led to a very nice finished product. I will be painting the entire exterior of the home soon for an even better match. I could not be any happier with this product or the results.

Couldn’t afford to do our whole garage. This was a great alternative and looks great.

The GAF Weatherside Fiber-Cement Siding Shingles were the acceptable size and shape. And I could paint it in the color I wanted. BUT, NOT ABLE TO NAIL IT !! Even the small nails that were recommended for it, the shingle cracked and broke. I could, by hand, break off a piece. I am curious how the GAF company would be able to install a bundles-worth of these shingles on the side of a house. Maybe there is a way, but it does not come to mind.
