Never worked right, now it says H20 and trim is falling off

This a terrible dishwasher. I bought it in June and first problem was with installation by Home Depot. The guy didn’t know what he was doing and was unable to completely hook up the dishwasher. Right away I noticed the dishwasher was never really drying well, it was always wet inside after a cycle. It also had this wet smell to it. I called GE and a technician came and told me o should prop the door open to dry out more and put a piece of lemon inside of it smells. He said he would check with GE regarding a fix and get back to me. Never heard back. In December, the chrome piece on the outside fell off. We called GE, they sent a technician and he ordered the part. While we were waiting for that repair, the dishwasher leaked under my cabinets and on my wood floors. I called GE once again and the technician came again and said parts needed to be replaced. Now here we are a month later and I still do not have a working dishwasher. Think twice before buying a GE dishwasher and having Home Depot install it. This is the worst appliance experience I have ever had.

The entire unit is out of square and I have to to tug the racks to move them. They damaged our floor. The insulation is see-through. The decibel reading is close to 60. I don't know how much of that is from the poor installation or the lack of insulation. The installers said this was the best they could do (see photos). The other GE was installed perfectly (i have photos), so no excuse. The installers today pulled and twisted the door to try to make it look better. HD is replacing.

My dishwasher stopped cleaning during thanksgiving week and realized the dishwasher is leaking and my floor under the dishwasher is flooded with greased water. It is so disgusting as the water accumulated for weeks before I realized there is a problem with the 2 year old dishwasher. The problem is actually a busted rubber elbow connecting the pump to the dishwasher. To replace it, you need to buy a whole pump set at more than 100 bucks despite that the elbow is a stand-alone rubber piece.

Very happy with the Dishwasher. Great recommendation by staff and was referred to a professional installer very experienced. Had previous issues with poor hookup on last dishwasher which may have caused previous one to not work right for years. Buy local and stick with small appliance shops because you get better service on what fits best for your need. So far so good; really pleased with this appliance.

Great dishwasher! Very quiet when running, and the stainless looks great! First GE appliance we’ve owned. We will definitely continue with GE as we upgrade our kitchen!

We got this dishwasher and of course it felt apart the minute the guarantee was up. The wheels of the bottom tray come off every time we try to fill the dishwasher. The whole trays comes off. The plastic appears to be of poor quality. One of the wheels even melted down. How can that be possible? I am not happy with this product at all!! We got it about 3!years ago when remodeling our kitchen and very disappointed with the quality of this product. Enclosing a pic of the wheel found at the bottom of the dishwasher half melted!!!

Having the GE profile dishwasher in the kitchen is a great upgrade. Super efficient, quiet, and looks great.

Cleans the dishes better than any other dish washer I have had. Very quiet. Looks great. I could keep going. It is wonderful!!!

We purchased this model because of the bottle jets and top rack. Our old dishwasher worked but we are updating our kitchen so wanted all stainless steel appliances. Unfortunately newer dishwashers are smaller so we find that we are doing dishes more often. Perhaps this is a new trend? The second rack with the bottle jets does lower to account for tall bottles, but then pots and plates don’t fit. Cycles are almost unheard which is great. The normal cycle is 80 minutes which is another plus.

We love it. Extremely quiet. Great wash and looks great.

I am so pleased with my new dishwasher. It is very quiet and does a fantastic job of cleaning the dishes!

It is so quiet when he’s working you don’t even noticing you don’t even you can still hear birds from outside and you can put so much in one load

GE dishwasher was great for the first year but the upper rack spinner broke after a year and a half. Now after 2.5 years, the rubber hose on the wash pump assembly cracked and ruined the floor with water. You would have to replace the whole assembly because they don't sell the rubber hose only. I already spent $150 to fix the upper rack spinner. Not gonna spend another $300 to replace the pump. Something else is meant to be broken soon. Buying another disposable dishwasher.

I purchased my dishwasher two years ago from Home Depot. It recently broke and was was out of warranty so I called a repair man to fix it. When he pulled it out from under my cabinets he found that the top corner was smashed from being dropped and an attempt was made to seal it with silicone. Over the two years it had leaked and warped my sub floor as well as my cabinets. Home Depot sent me to their insurance company who denied my claim stating that the delivery company denies dropping it.

Very disappointed that the bottom of the tub inside this dishwasher was dented on the corner. The crating showed no sign of damage. Most disappointing of all was the fact that GE Appliance has no Warranty Contact info available to report this.

Home Depot delivered an used or refurbished unit but clearly not a new one. I have been spending a lot of time on the phone with both HD and GE as each is pointing in the other direction. No one wants to take responsibility and fix the problem. I ordered GE dishwasher from HD because Bosch units were on wait list at another local vendor. Now I understand why people are willing to wait months for a good dishwasher.

I have the older model, 6 years old. The door never closed right from day one. At first we thought maybe it was just a bad installation job but we had it repaired 3 times. It does not dry, annoying but I could live with it. Food on some dishes when I prewash most dishes (kids help). This shouldn't be a problem when it says you can put full dirty dishes in there. The top part of the chrome broke off. My mine issue is, I would have to lean against the door till it created a section for it to start. I don't know if i bought a lemon but I am extremely disappointed. I just want to push a button to start it and walk away. I bought it with the GE fridge (had to replace a part recently), microwave (had to replace the handle it broke off), and oven ( the knobs have all broken as well). We bought it in Slate and only GE makes slate. I think its time to give up fixing it and get something different but what?

I was originally quite happy with this dishwasher. I liked the design and it did a great job in the beginning. After 1 year and 1 month of ownership, I'm walking one day through my basement to find it raining water through the ceiling from upstairs. After tearing out the dishwasher that was directly upstairs, I found a hose on the underside that was gushing from two cracks on the rubber. The floor under the dishwasher is slightly lower than the rest of the kitchen floor, so I hadn't seen any water leaking out, it was just filling up the ceiling below. The hose that split connects to the recirculation pump. I had spent extra on the "Profile" version with the assumption that GE was selling me a higher quality dishwasher. The dishwasher is out of it's pathetic 1 year warranty by a month. I have extensive work to do tearing out the sagging ceiling below, to be done at my own expense. I have a dishwasher to repair or replace after just over a year of ownership. (purchased after Christmas 2020). To rub salt in the wound, when I attempted to purchase a replacement hose through GE, at my own expense, I find out that GE only sells the hose if you purchase the $93 pump service kit. A $2 hose can only be sold with the pump. Extremely disappointed with GE quality. I will never purchase another GE appliance in the future.

The chrome plastic strip separates out (had to epoxy it back twice - original glue failed). Also periodically I have to take the bottom middle part apart (3 screws) and clean magnet operated valve that stops working with ANY dirt (yes filter is fine).

Absolutely love this dishwasher…it’s so quiet! Love the multi position fold down tines and the deep clean silverware jets. Highly recommend GE appliances.

When the time came to redesign our kitchen with all new appliances, GE was the brand of choice … and this particular dishwasher was an ideal replacement to our aging old one. The styling is great … all touch control are hidden under the countertop when in wash cycle and the front LED display shows washing progress. It fit exactly in the dedicated spot without having to use the supplemental rubber edges provided. The instructions were clear, all items, except the water line and power cord, we’re included and it only took 35 minutes to install. A great looking stainless steel appliance that complements the rest of the GE appliances. This cook now looks forward to a greater cooking / cleaning experience … and must mention, the quietness of a wash cycle is refreshing.

Love this dishwasher. It’s very quiet and gets dishes clean without having to prewash. Also everything is dry at the end. Very satisfied with this purchase.

I cant open the drawer… dishwasher handle sticks out too much…is there another flat handle for dishwasher so i can open draw

With our 1st baby on the way, a bottle cleaning dishwasher sounded like a great upgrade to our house after not having one for year.

Dishwasher mounted flush with counter. Looks nice. No handle sticking out. Quiet. Love that it gives wash status- washing, drying and clean. Still getting used to placing my dishes on racks and often forget about third rack. It beeps when I accidentally push the pad buttons when I’m putting a single dish in washer or if my leg hits door when it’s open.

It’s been a great washer! Dishes come out clean every time, and it’s whisper quiet!

The Lower rack has very large gaps between the rack vertical supports. Unless you lay everything flat it impossible to put pots at an angle or standing up where water drains out. Plates do not stay straight up and tend to fall. Looks like rack was designed by someone who never uses the dishwasher!
