This fluted filter seems last longer. Doesn't seem to...
This fluted filter seems last longer. Doesn't seem to clog with sediment as quickly as
the wrapped cord version. Of course, it depends on how many gallons of water you use
for any given time period. Next up I'm trying the carbon version of whole house filters.

Not industry standard center opening.
The filters did their job but they did not fit my coupler. I have a double high filter housing and use a plastic coupler to link 2 filters. I had to use lube and slip joint pliers to force the coupling into place. I have been using this housing for almost 40 years and never had a problem with fitment. Will never buy these again.
