This is a good quality pair of wrenches. The finish is very nice. The length of these wrenches seem a little off. I wish the 1/4" was a little longer and the 3/8" a little shorter, but not a big deal in either case. I don't generally like grips on my wrenches, but these are at least pretty good out of the box. My worry is always how they will hold up with oil and any chemical exposure, as well as just degrading over time. The flex head locks firmly in each position and will allow a lot of options for accessing fasteners. The 3 degree throw (120XP) on the ratcheting is really nice. It is much shorter than my old craftsman set and will make it much easier to work in places where movement is limited.

These 3/8 and 1/4 inch ratchets with thin line design are a welcome addition to my tool box. The package they come in is made of a rubber type and fits well into my tool box to ensure proper tool care. The ratchet heads move with a 120 positions with a three inch arc capabilities. Has a directional switch. The long thin line design allows for better handling of tool as well as torqueing abilities. Handles have a non slip type grip and is comfortable to use. Very good product!

These two GearWrench ratchets are great for homeowner use. These ratchets are 60 tooth and are fairly smooth but not as smooth as a Snapon which is around 100 tooth. The flex head has some positive stops so it will stay in the position you put it in. The handles are soft and they are comfortable to use. Since they are long handle you can generate a lot of torque but I wouldn't use them as my everyday ratchet because the longer length isn't always needed.

If you get excited about new ‘quality’ tools as I, well you will not be disappointed with this; Two-Piece GearWrench 120XP Set both 1/4 inch AND a 3/8 inch Drive Dual Material-Comfort Grip, Flexible Head, Teardrop Design Ratchet(s) In The Included Foam Case. That was a mouth full and in addition, I found the ratchets to be incredibly lightweight yet retained that feeling of quality. The flexible head with firm detents allowed the head to flex and still maintain position. Really nice when performing maintenance on one of our outboard engines where space is not present. Actually the outboard was, in my mind, the perfect opportunity to test both drive sizes as a majority require the larger 3/8”. Now, the 1/4” really shined as the head size & especially the 120 tooth count help tremendously in the really tight spaces. The 1/4” was actually a real pleasure to use and simply put, made the job much easier. The two color comfort grip is a nice addition. While the red is of a firm plastic like material, the black is similar to a rubber over-mold but, with a softer texture. To top this set off, the ratchets come with a very nice foam tray cut perfectly to fit and there are even finger cut-outs for easy retrieval from that case. Great job GEARWRENCH!

This ratchet set is a well constructed tool. The materials appear to be high quality and forged metal. The shaft is thin but along with the teardrop swivel should allow for easier access to tight areas. The ratchet moves fluidly and easily with no catching noted. I have large hands so I wish the grip was a little larger. I like that packaging comes with a foam tray for easy storage to simply place into my tool box. I would say this ratchet is a great tool to have for an average homeowner doing tasks around the home and garage.

I needed to replace a ratchet I gave out to my Daughter. I found this set of two at Home Depot. The idea of having thin teardrop ratchets that flex sounded interesting. I was impressed when I received the set. It's thin, and the flexing feature will make getting this wrench into tight spaces a simple task. At first, I thought this would be a really great knuckle-buster, but playing around with it, I discovered just the opposite...When flexing, the wrench locks in a position, preventing it from slipping and busting your knuckles. Overall, I am really impressed with this set, and it's innovation of both the 6-position flexing and the long thin design. Very pleased, and Highly Recommended.

I recently received a set of two GearWrench flex head ratchets, one 1/4 in. drive and one 3/8 in drive. These ratchets come with a long handle to provide a little extra torque when needed and have a cushioned grip. The flex head is great for reaching hard to get to areas and the recessed drive switching mechanism is also an innovative feature which allow that tiny bit of extra room to get into tight spaces which is the norm on today’s vehicles. The ratchets are made from a high quality heat-treated steel alloy for strength. The directional switching mechanism is smooth as is the movement of the drive itself. In summary, these seem to be a high-quality precision-made tool that will be a very handy addition to any DIY’ers tool box. I have included a couple of pictures to show the quality look and the versatility of these tools.

Nice set of ratchets. The smaller is a ¼ in and larger a ⅜ option. Both have a comfortable handle and have a head end that can be bent forwards or backwards to get into tight locations. The down side of using them with the head flexed all the way back into an 'L' shape is you lose leverage benefits. But having it in a less than 'L' shape, it still provides leverage. Such is the fun of physics. Some may ask 'given you have a neck that moves forward and backward, does it loosen over time and get wobbly'. While I've only had it for a short time, it seems to be strongly built. I have hit the arm with a hammer a few times on stuck bolts and it has not weakened at all. (Yes, I should have used a breaker bar.) Pleased, hope these last for many years.

I have a Gear Wrench metric socket set and I like their quality tools, so when I needed a drive ratchet I got this set. The drive has a low profile head with a flush reversing lever. The drive has a tear drop 6 position flex head so you can get into tight places. The 3 degree swing arc makes for tighter turns and gives 120 ratchet positions. With this set you can use 1/4" or 3/8 " sockets or even Gear Wrench bolt biter extraction sockets. The drives have a comfort grip handle and come in a foam holder.

There are socket wrenches and then there are socket wrenches. They are not all alike and they do not all work the same. When you are working in a tight spot sometimes you need a socket wrench with a flex head. Then this is the set you need. There is a 1/4 inch drive wrench and a 3/8 inch drive wrench which will fit most applications for the homeowner. They are GearWrench brand which is a quality brand. They will flex both forward and backwards. The handles are a good length that helps give you torque on your project. They are well worth the investment for quality tools.

These flex handled ratchets are heavy and feel really solid. I haven’t felt any disconcerting flex in the head to handle joint while using them. They do what I hoped they would, which is allow me to get into awkward, tight spaces without having to use a flex socket adapter. The benefit is that the socket doesn’t stick out as far, so you can get into more areas. The heads have 3 position stops in each direction from center (see picture), so the head doesn’t flop around. The ratcheting arc is tight too. On the two smaller handles, stubby 1/2” & the 1/4”, the ratchet is smooth in the “off” position, but quite coarse in the “on” position. The two larger wrenches don’t suffer from the same coarseness. The handles have a lifetime warranty, so if that coarseness leads to failure they’ll be covered.

Will meet all your ratchet wrench needs, from simple to really big. This wrench set is heavy duty and top quality with multiple deluxe features. The set contains four wrenches, one is 1/4", two are 3/8" (one of the 3/8" is a stubby for small spaces) and one 1/2". Each wrench has a flex head with stops at 180 (straight) and 90 degrees and two click stops in between. This flex head feature allows access into tight spaces that can't be reached with a standard wrench. For me, the truly stellar feature is having 120 positions on each ratchet. This means that if you can get the socket on your target and have even the tiniest bit of room, you'll succeed in getting the thing on or off. Overall, I am very happy with these wrenches. With these and a decent socket set in your tool collection, your work will go much easier and faster.

This is a nice sized set of flex ratchets. I've used the 3/8 only a little but they worked fine. A regular ratchet of the same brand failed on the second use, however, and I wasn't even putting much torque on it. I downgraded these a star due to that bad experience. But so far these work fine. Because of the joint, they are extra long but the stubby 3/8 is still short. The 1/2 drive seems especially long.

These are extremely nice ratchets. They operate smoothly and you can tell the ratchet mechanism is not cheaply made. I like the fact that the handles are flexible and click into numerous positions. Their weight is normal for their size. I really like the rubbery case that came with them as it with fit right into my tool box and keep them in place where they can be easily seem and grabbed. I would rather have the stubby in 1/4" drive.

This set of ratchets are an excellent addition to any (backyard or professional) mechanic's toolkit. They are very well made and have some great features! They ratchet every 3° for 120 clicks per full revolution. This fine resolution allows great efficiency it tight quarters. The swivel head allows greater access and use n more tight spots. Ratchet handles are extra long for excellent torque. Set includes a 1/4" ratchet, two 3/8" ratchets (one stubby) and one 1/2" ratchet. Set includes a nice foam tray for storage in a tool box. Very nice!

Highly recommend... this GearWrench 120 XP Flex-head set is hard to beat. I own MANY ratchets and I have to say these are some of the finest I have worked with. The 6 - position flex-head with a 3 degree arc allows for really tight or awkward access of removing fasteners. I must say that the 1/4” and 3/8 stubby are my favorite. These two are mostly utilized in interior spaces (under the dash for example). Two big thumbs up GearWrench!

Ever use a ratchet and find out that if only the head could flex a little you'd be home free? Well then look no further cause these ratchets are the answer! You get a 1/4 in drive, 2 - 3/8 in drive (one with a 2 inch handle, the other a standard length), and a 1/2 in drive long handled ratchet. The ratchets flex 180 degrees (-90 degrees and + 90 degrees). The reverse switch is labeled with the words ON and OFF for easy direction selection. The ratchets are set into a foam tray which you can keep them nicely organized within your tool chest. Overall, these are a great addition to my tool collection and will come in handy on my next projects. Definitely recommend for DIYers and mechanics alike.

I would highly recommend the gearwrech 120xp flexhead ratchet set. The ratchet's in the set are very well made and do have a nice feel and heft yo them. The flexible heads are easy to move and adjust to the desired position. They move easy but at the same time lock into place so they don't move when you don't want them to. The ratchets feature 120 tooth sprocket so you only need minimum room to swing the ratchet for it to engage. They come in a very nice foam tray to store them in, in your tool box.

GrearWrench 81230P 4 pc Flex Ratchet Set. This is the 120xp with 3° arc 1-.¼, 2- ⅜ and 1- ½ ratchets included in the set with double stacked pawls low profile heads for better access. The flex heads are very handy. Long polished handles also gives you excellent torque capability. The enclosed heads help keep the mechanism clean. The flex head sold me on the set and I have never had a stumpy either, needed them time and time again. Finally I have one. They feel great in your hand. These are very heavy duty ratchets. I am very happy with how they operate and as a bonus you get the toolbox foam insert that is very substantial to keep them nice and keep them handy. Excellent.

Great quality set for the price. Have put a decent bit of force on the half inch, seemed to handle it fine. Very smooth ratcheting, good back drag. The flex head joint doesn’t flop around loosely which I like. Hard to find anything to complain about, especially with the lifetime warranty. High praise overall

Very nice wrenches. They are very good quality and a good value. They have become my favorite. The grip is exactly and comfortable. And the length of the 3/8” drive gives plenty of leverage.
