This was a perfect match for the original flag, even though it was a different brand. I DID need...
This was a perfect match for the original flag, even though it was a different brand. I DID need to buy a #8-32 by 1 inch long screw and nut to install it on the mailbox. I used an Aero nut with a nylon insert so it would not work loose. It all worked perfectly.

Good Replacement
The flag was an exact replacement of the one I had previously. It works well. Setting the flag to stand straight up seems just a little loose, but it holds without any problems. I would purchase it again.

Gibraltar Kit does not fit. What good does it...
Gibraltar Kit does not fit. What good does it do when I have plastic Gibraltar Mailbox and this Flag Kit is not useable for it. Kit has been unpacked and tried to make it fit. Product DOESN'T WORK
Manufacturer should make flag kits to fit all their Mailboxes

Make sure that if you have a plastic mailbox, you grab the plastic replacement flag kit. There is a metal version from Gibraltar that looks like it may work with their plastic mailbox, but it doesn't... at least not easily. I replaced a badly aging flag with this one, and it fit perfect, felt sturdy and hopefully will last several years as the last replacement did.
