We use this particular flat paint in plain White color for ceilings and the interior of closets, essentially in area with low-traffic. Paint is paint .... meaning that it's all about preparing the surfaces to be painted, ahead of time. This paint sticks well and seem to last a few year, at half the cost of others flat paints.

This paint went on really nice I used a roller. The odor was very low and the color was just right for painting the ceiling in my sunroom, it made it bright and alive. I would definitely purchase this again and also recommend it to family and friends. And the price was very reasonable as well.

we first started out with Glidden's contractor ceiling paint. After the second coat it looked really bad. The paint desk at The Home Depot was nice enough to replace it with a different Glidden paint. After more painting and time wasted we were left with an even worse final result. Every roll stroke is completely visible. I'm sure spraying is the preferred method but I've had no issues with rolling other branded ceiling paints.

Overall nice finish and low odor, but it definitely took multiple coats to cover the previous color. Primer is a definite need!

Love this paint and the color is simply beautiful.

Not the same white although I ordered the same product, I thought.

This paint was amazing to apply to my ceiling, especially in comparison to what I had used just hours before. HOWEVER if you are looking for a bright white, this is not it. You might not be able to tell on it’s own, but as I had just painted hours before, it was easy to tell that this paint had a grayish tinge to it.

It was easy to apply over all turned out great. Yes I would recommend it to friends and family

Good price, this product was perfect. This paint is great for a base. You will need two gallons for a typical bedroom 10x12. I painted two coats because my daughter wanted her room white with color stripes.

This is the worst paint I've ever used. Used it on bare pine. I have applied 3 coats already and it looks like all I have done is put a single coat of primer on. Save yourself the trouble and pay the extra few dollars to get a good paint!

Good paint - Behr products don't come close - I always prime before and sand because I'm Old School - Glidden essentials is high quality if you prime before - the primer and paint in one is for goobers who do not appreciate the art of painting.

Glidden Essentials paints are made just right. Not thick, not thin. Mix well and easy, and coverage is really good.

Great for ceilings and walls, covers nicely.

It works great for rental property. Covers ok , may need a couple of coats to really appreciate.

Has a good final color but thats after three coats.

Painted paneling in a bedroom then add stripes of rose color to match curtains.

This is the third time I have used different types of Glidden paint and I am very impressed with the quality and value of this Essential brand. I had it mixed to a light beige color and was covering plaster with a knock down finish in a light base color as well as 2 walls im a medium base color. Paint applied easily, no dripping or splattering, cutting in was easy as well do to the thickness of the paint. Coverage was excellent with just one coat and the finish and sheen of eggshell is absolutely beautiful. I was able to paint a kitchen, livingroom, hallway and large bedroom and small bedroom with 5 gallons. Would recommend this paint highly.

Purchased a 5 gallon paint of Glidden Essentials (white) for new primed drywall. Had store mix paint. I also mixed with a paint stirrer attached to drill. When I poured paint from the 5 gal bucket into paint tray, I noticed what appeared to be lumps. While rolling paint, these lumps appeared on wall. At first I took a paper towel and tried to wipe off. This got old real fast. After the paint tray was empty I decided to wash out and start over. I mixed paint again and poured into clean paint tray. Same result. Lumps. From what I can tell, the skin or whatever it was may have been on inside lid of 5 gal bucket. Will need to be sanded, wiped down, and painted again.

Product is garbage.Purchased 3/22/17. I went to paint half a wall/door/trim that was already white but had some washed off magic marker (not permanent ) three coats in and its still not covering..i want my money back and i am willing to pay the extra 20.00 for a well known brand paint from a paint store that i know will cover in one coat.

This white is so translucent I might have better off spraying milk on my walls. The small $ savings vs having to paint my bathroom 3 times is hard learned lesson. Very hard to blend each coat evenly because I am fighting with the heavy coats in an effort to cover. Depending on what your time is worth, you might want to go with a pricier paint.

Always been a Gilden paint user. More reasonable price than many. I purchased for a laundry room that is obviously not high use area. It covered the previous color in one coat.
