Hi Kevin, we appreciate you for sharing your feedback with us about the Nest Hub Max, and we’re sorry to learn of your annoying experience due to its performance issues. Performance issues may be caused by several reasons such as Wi-Fi network congestion, distance of the device from the router, wireless interference with other Wi-Fi hotspots or devices nearby and outdated router firmware. If you haven't yet, we suggest restarting your Wi-Fi router. Unplug the router from the power outlet, wait at least 60 seconds before plugging it back in. If your Nest display is the only device that has performance issues, we suggest performing a factory reset on it to make sure it's cleared then set it up. Also, to change the audio settings of your Nest display in the Google Home app: - Make sure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi or linked to the same account as your Nest display. - Open the Google Home app. - Tap the device you want to adjust > Settings > Audio > Equalizer. - Adjust Bass and Treble level.
