The Nest Thermostat Trim Kit (oval) is intended for Nest Thermostat only and it’s not compatible with Nest Thermostat E and Nest Learning Thermostat. The Nest thermostat Trim Kit is an optional accessory if your old thermostat left a large hole or unpainted part of the wall. It helps cover of any gaps that might be left out even after installing your Nest Thermostat.
