The stakes are smooth and true to specified size and description. I used them to stake my peonies with jute twine -- I don't have a saw to cut down other stakes. These worked perfectly.

They were exactly what I needed and at a reasonable price. I used to make my own from scrap wood but yours are a more consistent size and worked better.

It's a stake. Use it to mark off projects, hold a line, etc. I find it most useful in gardening to set visible boundaries for myself and for cautioning people entering the yard.

They're okay as far as wooden stakes go. I drill a hole towards the top and anchor lines through it for my Gazebo to keep it from flying away and to anchor down my Christmas floats. They usually last through the season then you throw them away and put in new stakes the following year. They work for what I need them to do.

Pointy stick
It's a pointy stick, it does what a pointy stick is
supposed to do.

The pack I purchased were just what I needed to stake out the location for our greenhouse and shed. Wasn't looking for perfection here, as they are grade stakes. They work well for their intended purpose.

thin
I had been buying 50 pack of 18" stakes from another hardware store 50 miles away for 7.99 (16 cents each). I was making a trip to Home Depot about 30 miles away for other items. I only need 30+ stakes, so I thought I would by 3 dozen. 12 pack of 17.5" stakes for 3.97 (33 cents each). I would not have minded the extra cost if the quality was good. The stakes are much thinner 1/2 instead of the normal 3/4in. THe packaging was such that I could not see how thick they were. THe stakes bend very easily; out of the 12 stakes 7 cracked or broke. I was using these for building concrete forms and kickers for the forms. I will end up returning 2 dozen (30 miles one direction and driving back 50 miles the other direction to get good stakes.
One thing nice about these stakes is that they drive in much easier. Since they are thinner it is less soil to move out of the way.

Great option for "pickets"
I bought a large quantity (24 dozen) to make a "picket" fence to border my 12'x20' barn instead of using the "usual" lattice. Some of the pickets were cut wonky but they weren't meant for finish work but I will have enough to sort out most "seconds." Took forever to paint and I haven't installed them yet because I will need to shorten them to follow grade - one at a time! Hopefully will be done this weekend - weather permitting.
