I am very happy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I spent all week scrubbing our carpets. The carpet is 4 years old The carpet turned out really well. Two days after it was all clean our dog got sick. We thought well what better time to put this scrubber to the test. It fully cleaned the area with no sign of it ever happening.

Great carpet cleaner
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the more compact design of this machine. Much lighter than my old one. No button to hold down when spraying the shampoo. All of these are huge pluses for me as I am a senior and have had several stokes. I can use this machine normally as the design and weight are not a problem. Cleans like gang busters, very happy with it.

DOA, will not power on out of box
I spent hours pre treating and scrubbing my rather large rug and then assembled this Hoover SmartWash carpet cleaner. This thing simply will not turn on. There is power in the cord when I used my tester. However, no matter what I do, no matter how many times I plug it in/out or reseat the brushes/containers, this will not turn. I know I can simply exchange it but it is past midnight and I am tired and frustrated because of this. Their customer service is gone too since it's past 6PM EST.

Dry setting does not work
I choose this version because it also had the dry only setting, unfortunately it does not work at all.

Works better then expected
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 4 cats and 1 large dog even though they don't have accidents on our area rugs They do get Dirty and this machine did an awesome job I said to the wife let's do them again and we decided once did the job ! We've had other carpet cleaners didn't even come Close to this Hoover

Leaks everywhere
Worked great for maybe 3 months. After that, it would take forever to start the cleaning process for example you could push it back and forth "phrasing" for roughly 5 minutes before it would actually start putting soap out. Now the final situation is whenever soap and water go onto this worthless contraption they both immediately leak all over the place. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Wash Feature
Brought this and it worked great the first and second time. Now I'm trying to use it and the wash feature doesn't work , read the manual and made sure the link container was clean and nothing . So 1 star for this product, what a waste of money

GREAT PRODUCT

Worst carpet shampooer ever. DO NOT BUY
Worst piece of junk ever. Bought before Christmas and only used a handful of times. It either wont suck up the water at all or it gets stuck on dry setting and wont put water out. Save your money!!! Horrible machine!!! Worst purchase ever.

Easy to Use Excellent Product

Would not recommend. 2nd machine also broke
This machine and previous machine which was the same model worked great for about 6 months then started leaking all over the place. Loved it when I first bought it but can't say I would recommend.

Garbage, don't waste your money
This is the second one I have owned. The first started to spray water from the base, machine replaced, 2nd one goes through soap extremely fast. Just went to use it and now it doesn't suck up the water

Not perfect but not terrible
I am on my 2nd one of this exact model. Some people described some issues, here’s what I learned.
1) Unit will not work if solution tank is empty. Put water in it if you have to & it will work.
2) make sure it’s not clogged anywhere & that you have a good, solid seal on the collection tank.
3) empty & clean it RIGHT AWAY after use to avoid build up in the seams. This happens even if left until the next morning.
I used the 1st one A LOT & then got hardwood floors

Stair attachment used once, not will not work.
The stair attachment was used only once, and now will not work. We have followed the instructions to prime, and it still does not work. It has no suction, and the cleaner does not dispense. We have taken off all tanks and replaced three times. Do you have any other suggestions??
