I had a shed already on the property but wanted to put up a "she shed" for the wife. The shed will take you longer to put up than you think but the end product is very nice. My wife, daughter and all their friends that have seen it love it. One is even talking about getting one just like it. I have never built a shed by myself or roofed anything before. I watched a lot of youtube videos of other people putting up the same shed and it helped a lot.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought about two months ago. It has nice architectural lines. I would say you a nail gun is a must to take on this Shed Project. Painting Shed and the trim prior to the installation will save you time in the long run. The wood can be a little challenging at times because the warping and the unevenness. Great Project.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nearing completion. Intention was to have their crew assemble but after delivery was informed not available in my area! Fortunately, not to bad a build despite working 99% alone. Materials reasonably good; had to toss just one treated 2x4 as unusable. Needed to apply clamps to bring some components into place but overall very happy with this good looking shed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this shed recently and hired two guys (skilled at construction, not good English speakers) to build it. I think we’re up to about 80 hours now and it’s functional but not totally finished. Problems: - The instructions and graphics are not clear. Even I - a highly education native English speaker - have had to read them over multiple times to understand many steps and still made a lot of errors; we have had to re-do any number of tasks, wasting hours of work. - Some of the pieces are labeled, but every single one of them should be. Otherwise you waste a lot of time trying to distinguish between similar-looking parts, or just plain measuring them; I think I spent 2-3 hours sorting and labeling them after my workers had started the initial work. - The quality of many pieces- “engineered wood” - is variable. A few suggestions to the the seller: - Label every piece - Pre-drill holes for screws and nails - Revise instructions to remove acronyms, jargon, and obscure terms of art - plain English (a Spanish version might be useful, too). To the buyer: - Sort and label every piece before starting any construction - Paint all the trim pieces before installing them. - Paint the walls before installing the trim. - Paint or stain the floor boards, or they’ll rot quickly. - If it’s available, pay extra and get the seller to assemble it. It will be worth it. Now that I’ve gone through this once, I’m sure we could get it done a lot faster next time. But there won’t be a next time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The shed kit has instructions that are easy to follow and quick to set up (if you have the time!) it took 2-3 people most days to put parts together. We love the size, the design and the look of the shed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice to have all the pieces pre-cut and ready to assemble. Had to mess around a bit with getting it all squared so everything fit flush, but only took a few days to assemble. We added the shingles and we're good to go!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought in the spring and have just a few finishing touch to complete. The instructions are well laid out and make install easy overall. Don't be fooled, it is a lot of work. The roof sucks and could use some more instruction especially for the window side. All pieces arrived. I used a nail gun for framing and finishing. Highly recommend to save time. Using a hammer for roof isn't so bad.

Two can build this in two days if they’ve done it several times before. The instructions are near-indecipherable, many of the parts unlabeled. We’ve had to undo several elements when we realized what the instructions meant. Several things would help: - Buyer should sort and label EVERY part before beginning (some parts are labeled, but not all). - Every part should come labeled. - Instructions should use less jargon (or at least have a glossary) - Pre-drilled holes would be even better.

Waiting for my shed to arrive after receiving notice I would get it on 7/22/24 and confirmed with Home Depot it would arrive by 8 pm. We have been waiting a month for this thing. Excitedly I took a day off to await my shed and it never came. Shortly before 8 pm the account delivery updated to tell me it was running late. I called Home Depot today before taking another day off, they contacted vendor - delivery now 7/25 by 8 pm and no communication with me. Poor customer service.

Makes it very difficult to have things square or flush, some siding was damaged. The real problem is the quality of the lumber- really subpar overall

There are way too many promotional reviews which skewed the rating imo. Read other comments and you will get a better picture. For me, the package came missing parts. Had to go to store and call .com customer service. The replacement procedures are way too complicated so I returned it. Glad I was able to return it. Wasted labor cost I paid to our contractors.

- unclear instructions - missing instructions - most boards not labeled for inventory - no instructions to measure every board before beginning - poor quality wood (banana boards, splitting) had to often clamp boards - poor cuts often off by 1/4in to 1/2 inch. Roof rafter angels cut way off - due to shipping 10/12ft boards came in two pieces - unhelpful customer service - supervisor never called me back - definitely takes longer than estimated

I recently purchased the Windmere DIY shed kit, and it was a nightmare from start to finish. This is our third shed, and it’s by far the worst kit we’ve ever encountered. The instructions were utterly useless, and the wood was twisted, warped, damaged, miscut, and unlabeled. The people who assembled the materials kit were extremely careless. This manufacturer clearly doesn’t care about quality. I strongly recommend looking for a different shed kit to save yourself the frustration.

Handy Home Building AKA Backyard Products is a terrible company to deal with! They have cancelled deliveries twice due to purported "truck Breakdown". Each time I had to call for updated delivery status on the days the delivery was scheduled only to learn delivery was rescheduled. When I asked when I would have been notified , the answer was "oh I guess the automatic email system didn't send the email" The new "delivery" date is now 2 months from original purchase date.

This company is complete trash! Save your time and money. I ordered this shed over a month ago. Guess what? Has not been delivered. I contact HD, I contact “backyard products” and allegedly my shed was supposed to arrive June 19. WHERE IS MY SHED?!? I ordered May 7, 2024. I get a text saying its out of stock. HOW !?!??? How is something that is out of stock being sold?!? Then refund my payment! They dont even want to do that. This company is a pain to deal with!

I have some minor building skills and was able to put the whole structure together in just a couple weeks with some extra hands now and then. Materials were overall very good and instructions were straight forward and easy to follow. The finished product came out better than I could have hoped!

We bought this shed and they sent us 2 box Bs. They won’t refund our money and they won’t give us box A. We have spent over 5 hours on the phone, talked with the store manager, and we have had 3 pick up teams come out and tell us they can’t pick it up for some different reason.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought the shed and started assembling it but a lot of the planks were crooked, few were cut good, others had to be double checked with not the right measurements differencing in 1/4-1/2 inch of what is needed, had to cut myself. Pre cut angles also did not fit how they were supposed to. Otherwise good shed.
