In October 2022, bought first the Havahart trap 7 x 7 x17 inches for a skunk. In the morning, the trap door was closed. All evidence that the skunk entered the trap, ate the bait and escaped. Next day we bought a bigger Havahart trap 10 x 12 x 32 inches. A trap door was also closed in the morning. Skunk entered the trap, left lots of traces of its staying, and left the trap. Skunk also bent the trap, so that the door was closing with difficulty now, touching the wall, which confirms other reviewers' comments about the easily deformed cage of the trap. Overall, this is rather an entirely useless for the purpose product, thoroughly designed to minimize the production costs and maximize manufacturer's profits. With my experience, very much doubt about the ingenuity of the positive reviews.

Not suitable for GROUND SQUIRRELS !

Very easy to set trap. Already got two squirrels. Only a few million left.

Really works - caught 3 rabbits and released unharmed another location. Easy to operate.

It says it’s for rabbits but I found the door opening too low to the ground for rabbits to easily enter. I’d recommend a larger size. I should return this purchase.

It's now doing a good job but took a couple of weeks to figure out the sensitivity. Now catching 1 to 2 rabbits a day.

This did not work for me. Every time squirrels took all the bate and left without getting trapped. I even adjusted the sensitivity setting to very sensitive. It is too small to catch a squirrel.

This trap works great for squirrels. I caught and relocated 19 in a week. Did not know we had so many.

I haven’t used it yet for my squirrels in the attic problem. Have to fix their entry point first, or they’ll just keep returning if I let them free in my yard, and it’s too cold to release them somewhere else. They might not be able to find food, water and shelter in a strange place. Trap arrived in good shape and seems to be well built. I smoothed down some of the rough spots on the outside but the inside was fine.

DONT SET THE SENSITIVITY KNOB TO A VERY SENSITIVE SETTING. A SLIGHT JAR OF THE TRAP BY THE SQUIRREL WILL SET IT OFF.

We have a large colony of squirrels living in neighbors’ yards. To date we have been able to catch and relocate two. However, several times the bait (cherry tomatoes or peanuts in shell) have been eaten without tripping the trap. It is a pain to carefully calibrate the trap every time we set it so that it trips easily.

Extremely simple to use and very effective.

I bought this trap as we had two rabbits sneak into our backyard through a hole in our fence. I baited with lettuce and cut up apple and caught the two right away. They are now, hopefully, living happily about 2 miles away.
