Daniel, Henry 107 Asphalt Emulsion is a terrific sealer to apply on a roof prior to coating with an acrylic white coating. Henry 107 becomes waterproof after drying thoroughly. Henry 107 can not only be used on roofs but can also be used to coat foundations, fence posts, Koi ponds, flower pots etc. Henry 107 is water based won't hurt plants or animals. Works Super & Easy to apply!
Have used product multiple times. Easy fast application (used thick nap roller). Used on flat roofs, brick, concrete walls, fence posts etc. Stands up great to Hawaii weather (rain & sun)! Highly recommend! Use white or Aluminum Henry product to reflect heat on roofs as product color is black. A product that actually does what it says & affordable too. Aloha, AL

Used On inside Storage Container Walls and Ceiling
Used it to paint interior walls and ceiling of a 40ft storage container which was more cost effective than using spray foam.
It seems pretty durable. Now the test of time to see if it will prevent moisture/condensation from getting inside container before I choose to use it for storage.
Another unexpected feature is it has extremely Low Odor so there was no need to wear a mask. Dries fast too.
If it works out then I'll plan to paint it white so that the inside of the container isn't so dark

DjMo, while we are glad that you are happy with your application or Henry 107 to your storage container, Henry 107 Asphalt Emulsion will probably have no effect on whether condensation forms on the inside of the storage container. Condensation forms when warm moist air comes in contact with cold air or a cold surface. The only way to prevent condensation is to separate the warm and cold air from each other. The best way is to provide insulation on the inside of the container in the nature of foam or bat insulation and make sure it is air-tight to prevent water droplets from collecting on the metal surface. Thomas, Henry 107 Asphalt Emulsion is such a versatile product. I used 107 for the in-ground section of my 4" x 4" fence posts to protect the posts from moisture and rot. Purchased to coat the base of split rail fencing inline posts. This helps with post longevity.

Norman, we love Henry 107 because it is such a versatile sealer and damp-proofer. Henry 107 can be used to seal the inside of flower pots and wooden planters, Koi ponds, foundations, roofs, both metal and wooden fence posts and many more surfaces. Henry 107 is corrosion resistant and waterproof. Since Henry 107 is a water based product it has a very low odor and contains no solvents. This is a good product. Easy to apply, good coverage and long lasting (I used it several years ago on sections of my roof and it is still effective on those sections).

T, we are sorry to hear that you had a less than satisfying experience with Henry 107 Asphalt Emulsion. Henry 107 is what is termed a "thixotropic liquid", a highly viscous (thick) liquid that becomes more fluid when mixed. Henry 107 is basically a mixture of a special clay, asphalt fibers and water and will appear very thick in the bucket. After stirring it will assume the consistency of a rather thick coating that can be poured on the roof surface and spread with a roofing brush. I used it as base coat all around my house and it extents the life of the wood underneath it. Since the recent rise of weather temperature throughout the U.S., I used it as a base coating on my roof with other Ames roof coating to lower the temperature inside our house and it had save us tremendously on our electricity bills.

This product did the job for us very well! Had leaks coming through my back bedroom roof, especially in heavy rain! We applied it to the affected area, and decided it was a good idea just to coat the entire roof! Easy to just pour an amount of the emulsion and spread a coating as we go. Looks good, and have not seen any leaks since! I recommend this product highly, and it is at a price that can fit most any budget.
