Works great. The instructions say it sets in 10 minutes, believe me it does. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars is that it sets up so fast. They need to work on a longer working time.

      Sets up WAAAAAY too fast!
First the good: This product does what it says it will, and does it pretty darn good. The bad: The setup time. I'm sure its just FINE for a pro - a pro wouldn't want a slow setting product, but for a homeowner, this stuff is VERY hard to work with because of the short setting time. The package claims a 10 minute working time - my experience was that it was less than 5 minutes. I ended up mixing several small batches per bag, it was the only way I could work with it!

Does the job, but do NOT attempt to do this with one person (the instructional video is not accurate on this point). Because of the extremely fast working time, you will need at least one person mixing (preferably 2, as the bags are heavy and awkward) and one person pouring and screeding.

        Horrific
If you value your sanity, your home, your time and your money, then stay as far away from this product as possible. Get creative and figure something else out to level your subfloor. I’m fully convinced this product was developed as a cruel joke. Seriously. In my 39 years of living, I’ve never purchased a product this terrible. Henry 555 now takes the throne for the worst product of all time that I’ve ever purchased over the course of my life, in any category, ever.

          ?Self Leveling?
Works fairly well. Like most "self-levelers" I have used needs some help getting level.

          Good product
I’ve used lots of this product and have a few pointers. Mix a little thinner than the directions call for, it will flow better. It’s better to do large areas and let it self level for a smooth service. Have one person mixing a batch while one is pouring. Rinse tools and buckets after each batch. It only self levels to a point. There will be an edge where it stops unless it’s against a wall. If you have to screed just push the screed straight don’t use a sawing motion it will leave ridges.

            First-Time User of Self-Leveling Underlayment
For me, as a first-time user of the Henry 555 Self-Leveling Underlayment material, the learning curve was pretty steep. The prescribed mix (5 quarts per 40-pound bag) was thicker than expected and did not flow and self-level well—even when using a spiked screeding roller to lower surface tension. Adding an extra 1/2-quart of water to the mix made it flow much better, but is not recommended by the manufacture. Most of the “How-To” videos show someone leveling a large, open, rectangular room and starting at the low spot in the corner. My lowest spot was near the center of the room, and I had a kitchen island, a refrigerator cupboard, a dishwasher cupboard to work in and around plus an pantry room. One big mistake I made was that I did the job in two sessions over two days—only because I under estimated how many bags I needed and ran out. This led to problems trying to get a smooth blend from the fresh mix to the previous, now hardened, underlayment. I would purchase much more than I thought I needed and do it all in one session. What I did right is that I had all of the water per-measured in bucks and the bags staged for mixing and three people to mix and supply me with the fresh mix. One good tip that worked well for me for a visual reference was to I put lots of screws in the floor so that the top of the screw was at the height I wanted to fill.

            Extremely small working window
Worked solo and mixed three bags at once. First two poured okay, third hardened. Had to Pull up job. Will probably return remaining 7 bags and look for something that provides a little more working time. Home Depot store charged me $55 each when they were $44 online (couldn’t access internet inside store).

Great product, just be aware of a couple of things
Works great but a couple things. 1st, you need to buy a metal lath for the subfloor. Although the product doesn’t say this on the bag, I called Henry and asked. The rep said “it absolutely does”. They sell a 1/8” metal lath that needs to be stapled down with a lot of staples. The lath CANNOT have any give it to in any area, so you need to staple every ~4” in every direction. 2nd, you need to work fairly quick. Start in the lowest area first! 3rd, use a large squeegee to make it easier to spread.

                Cracks when used on concrete
Followed the instructions and ended up with cracks throughout. Frustrating and now going to be even more work to pull it up.
