Works perfect but to small box and price

This stuff actually does the job. Tough to find acoustic texture and this package does the trick.

The dry ceiling popcorn was easily applied with a hopper gun

I had to match a small section of excising popcorn ceiling and this did the job it has small pierces of Styrofoam in it, I used a texture hopper to get the best results .I recommend this product .

Easy to mix, came out of the hopper without issues and blended great with the old ceiling.

Acoustic ceiling texture (popcorn) comes in 3 types - course, medium and fine. The majority of homes that have it are medium. This Homax texture is fine and I cannot use it most times because I make my patches or repairs literally disappear and you cannot perfectly match medium texture using fine. There is no other choices with Homax, they don't even specify what type is in the box. If you have a fine popcorn texture then this will work good. I gave it 2 stars because it is one of three pocorn sizes.

used this in my Wagner texture sprayer to repair textured ceiling did an excellent job. repair is virtually unoticable.

This was my first time applying popcorn ceiling texture, and the directions on the box didn't give much help as too the best ratio to mix. I had to Youtube a couple videos to understand what I was doing. I mixed with a ratio of 50/50 paint to water to make the dry texture very soupy so it would go through the hopper with ease. I first mixed it too thick where it would slowly run off the trowel. That would not go through the hopper, so I had to add more water. I used two coats to get enough texture. This stuff is REALLY messy! put plastic everywhere and make sure you are wearing safety goggles and don't open your mouth while spraying!

All my life I've lived with nasty old perfectly smooth ceilings. How boring! Unfortunately, most of the new construction done in the 50's through 80's was done this way - either totally smooth or knockdown texture. Anyway, both of these look totally dated now, but fortunately I was able to update the look of my 1970's home with brand new popcorn ceilings thanks to this product! Now when I have guests over, they look at my ceilings and think wow, this guy's doing really well for himself. Truly a 5-star product.
