I have had 6 receivers on two ceiling fans stop working. On average I am replacing every two years. Needless to say not easy when they are in a great room 27’ high. I’ve been trying to get a replacement receiver for almost 3 weeks now from Home Depot. They have twice sent the wrong receiver. They will not take returns unless you take it to a Home Depot (about 140 mile round trip). Trying a 3rd time, but not confident in success. They keep arguing it’s the right receiver. Made in China.

Best fan I've ever bought. Had 2 in my previous home, 1 in my condo and 2 in my current home. Look no further, this is the one you want.

I bought my fan thru an online auction site which advertised it as “brand new.” Turned out it was missing the receiver and remote control. So I called the Home Decorators service number listed on the user guide and told them about my situation. They told me the price for the receiver and remote was about $30 each. I ordered them both, and finished the installation last night. The fan is very quiet and very breezy. On the low setting, it moves more air than the 48-in Hunter fan that it replaced

I now have three of these 68” fans in our home. Hands down the best fans I’ve ever bought. Evan beats Casablanca fans I’ve owned. Quite, more air movement by far. Does not wobble at all, even on hi. Very beautiful too. We have 10 total fans in our home which run 24/7. Love these the best!!!

We have loved everything about this fan and would’ve given it 5 stars if it were still working. It had been working like a charm but stopped suddenly. Has anyone else had this happen? What’s the fix? Help!!!!

Easy to assemble,looks fantastic, and is quite

This is the second time I've purchased this fan. Easy to install and moves a significant amount of air. Love it.

Great addition to my 14’ ceilings. Remote with reverse mode comes in handy with height.

I purchased two fans from my local Home Depot. The fans barely put out air flow. It was rated high on air flow, however it barely pushes air in the great room. Less than 6 months later we were having issues with one of the fans. It would Inconsistently stop working. A year later it totally stopped working. Not sure if it’s the remote system, as the remotes were crossing over, even with the different codes. Planning to purchase another brand online, Home Depot do not take returns and make it difficult to return items. $500 down the drain.

Love the fan but it doesn't spin fast on hight speed which is 3 it still feels likes it running on speed 1... just unhappy abut that coz that was the main reason why I bought the new fan...

This fan really moves the air. Wind! Definitely for a big room. Gorgeous.

I paid a friend to install and he seemed to get it done with ease. It looks amazing. I bought it in the fall and I love that you can change the airflow direction, so it keeps the room from getting stuffy without getting cold in the fall/winter. Now that it is over 90 degrees outside I have the airflow directed down and it is so powerful I have had to turn it down if I'm sitting below it. We have 16 foot ceilings that open up to the upstairs level, so I was worried it had too much open space to fill before hitting the living room, but it works great.

I put up three of these fans in a great room with 6' drop rods. Two of the three do not sway at all and one sways a small amount. Because of the ceiling height (about 25') and the height to the fan (about 19"), the remote does not work well. I have to hold the remote over my head to control the fan. Luckily, I run the fans 24/7 for air flow in the large room. I ran a third wire through the fan to the light so I could operate it with the wall switch (the fan lights are the only light source in the room and they are operated by multiple switches). I did not want to try to operate the lights with the remote because I would have to put remotes in four locations to turn the light on/off when passing through the room. The light fixture is a 'sputnik' style and was not meant for a ceiling fan but I needed a good light source and ceiling fan light kits did not meet my needs. The only trouble I had installing the fans was the blades. I had trouble aligning the decorate bolts with the screw on the backside (of course I was doing this sitting on scaffolding 18' above the ground). It would have been to much to try to lift the fan with the drop rod and blades into place.

Claims 8400 CFM but doesn't feel like much airflow May 16, 2020 Quality : 4 Value : 3 I bought this because it had one of the highest CFMs of any of the fans in stock at Home Depot. It assembled easily, it looks nice, it has a remote, reverse spin, and it's quiet, but the downside is that even on the highest speed (3) it spins so slowly that I can follow a single blade as it rotates. After reading the specs more closely, turns out it's only 69 RPM, just over one rotation per second. So, the large fan blades may move more air than smaller fans but they move the air so slowly that you only feel a small breeze. The last fan I had was smaller but spun at probably 2 or 3 times the speed. The blades were just a blur as they spun and the room was actually windy if I put it on high speed. I was hoping for the same with this one. Pretty disappointed considering the $229 price, which was one of the most expensive fans in stock. Still deciding whether to return it but I don't know if it's worth the hassle of disassembling it, boxing everything back up, and installing another one. John R.

I bought this as a replacement for an altura 68 I bought 5 years ago. I wish it had lasted longer. The finish on this was a walnut grain rather than the rich mahogany/ cherry of the original which was quite striking and matched my cabinetry better. Also it hangs lower than the original version which wasn't a problem for me but could be for someone else.

Very nice fan. Easy to install. You can feel the air move 10’away while it is on low. Which they had more rustic light kits to go with it. Instead of a white one.

I love this fan. However. It suddenly just stopped working. After researching on the internet, I have learned that the remote receiver is faulty. I was also told that Home Depot will send a replacement part but I am having great difficulty reaching someone to discuss the issue. Any help appreciated.

This is a great performing and great looking fan. You MUST have free space above the fan in order for it to provide a great breeze. I used a 42” down rod in my cathedral ceiling and on high it will blow papers on a table anywhere in this large room. Never flush mount a fan of this size. It is lower speed than most fans but it produces a great volume of air flow. Absolutely quiet and not a bit of wobble. The one problem: it will turn off and on by itself. Maybe i could change the frequency switches in the remote and fan to eliminate. Will call customer service before i try.

I purchased this fan as a replacement for my living room. I was looking for a fan that has speed, nice looking and quiet. This fan is all of that! The motor is heavy buy the blades are super light. I can’t wait to put the other fan in my bed room. I just wished my old light fixture would have fit this fan but it wasn’t a deal breaker for me. This is a great fan for a great price.

Excellent Fan! 1) Low speed to high speed, the amount of air this fan moves is impressive 2) The noise from the fan motor is practically NON-Existent 3). Wind noise from the fan in any setting of direction is pretty much NON- Existent Install was simple The directions are very clear and easy to follow. If you have installed a fan before you can handle this one too. Design We love the design and appearance of this fan. It is refined rustic and amazing!

The Altura II 68 in. Indoor Bronze Ceiling Fan with Remote Control is a great ceiling fan that quietly moves a lot of air because of the blades curved design along its blade length. Perfect for any room that needs a large fan. This fan comes with a remote to control the fan speeds and direction and if you bought a light kit, it can control that as well on the remote. Installation of the fan is relatively straightforward and the Use and Care Guide walks you through the steps to do it. If you have installed a ceiling fan before, then this fan is easy to install. There is also a installation video you can watch and the Use and Care Guide has the link. This is one of the nicest fans I have seen and my favorite in the house!

The Altura II 68-inch ceiling fan is by far the best fan that I have ever installed, and I have installed a lot of fans in my life. I needed a fan that would circulate air in a 22 x 24 area and this fan has no problem doing that. It was a very easy install that only took about a hour ( including removing the old fan ). It did not come with a light kit, so I purchased one from HD and installed it also. Love this fan !

Fan was easy to install and is extremely quiet. I received the wrong color fan but I didn’t notice until I started installing. Overall I’m very pleased with purchase

The fan is pretty but it only comes with one rod that is very long, so not good unless you have really high ceilings.

The best at any price

We have several of these fans and we have had them for years. This was a replacement for the older one but we have always been pleased with them. Hope they never stop making them!!

I bought this fan less than 5 years ago and something went wrong with it causing the lights to flicker. I replaced the wall switch and the light kit, but to no avail. Ordered a new fan online, but the fan blades were a different color, which I didn’t like. I used the old fan blades and that worked fine. Hopefully, this fan works longer than 5 years.
