I do like the look of this coffee table , but the top does not open like the images show. There are side rails that are supports when fully open, but they serve no purpose since it only opens up half way. I would recommend it for the look but don't expect the functionality to be the same.

The table is nice. Looks good and it has a rugged home made vibe to it. If you’re looking for perfect, this is not the table to get. The design has been modified from it’s original design it seems. The left and right swing out tops has been fitted with hinges that restrict the top from fully opening and using the sliders that support the tops. I could easily remove the hinges but that would void the warranty I suspect. So any damage caused by the modification would not be covered. Nice one manufacturer. Over all... it’s cool

Very pretty finish. I am very happy with this purchase. Looks even nicer than the picture. The only problem we had was slight damage because the shipper didn't follow the "This side up" directions. My husband was able to fix the damage.

Nice piece. Fast delivery. The four star rating is due to some small "blobs" of whatever was used to stain/finish the coffee table that were not smoothed out. Note they were not noticeable enough to detract from the overall look.

The Maldives coffee table I ordered from Home Depot is exactly as pictured. It is beautiful in my living room! I was able to remove the wine bottle holders without issue. I put a throw in the middle compartment and 2 bed pillows and a quilt in the right side compartment. I still have the left side to fill! The little drawer is perfect for extra batteries and remotes.

For those of you expecting the craftsmanship of C&B's Taka Trunk, this ain't it. This is a poorly assembled pretender. Returned it same day.

Well I guess I should have taken the reviews this product received seriously. Such a beautiful piece, but craftsmanship has a lot to be desired. Hinges were not placed well at the back, none of the lids sit properly, they over lap each other causing it to not be flush. Pieces missing will take some work to fix it all. The reason I purchased it was because it matches my 2 end tables definitely not worth the money spent. Unsatisfactory

Unbelievable quality for the price... HEAVY piece of furniture

Love this and am going to keep it, but one of our lids is split badly near the screws on the hinge. It is clear soneone overtightened them, which splintered the wood. They then glue a portion of the splintered eood back on but it was badly done. It is too heavy to return so I am keeping it but in terms of quality control I don't recommend it.

It's everything we wanted and then some very spaciou, practical and rustic looking. It's wonderful and outer space.

It’s a nice enough chest, but doesn’t look like the ad. It’s veneered, not actually rustic wood, and the tops don’t open out all the way because of hinges that aren’t in the photos.

The table while pretty the magnets do not work well on one side of the table the top is slightly warpped! If it was like the other side it would have been a nice table.

Very cheap looking. Very disappointing

Love this coffee table! Its beautiful, a little darker than the picture but fits in regardless. It just lifts the whole room! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because one of the side lift top doesn't close flush to the rest of the table. It's not real noticeable though.

Well made nicer than expected

way way too heavy. Has extenders on each end that we know not what to do with. No paper work inside unit. a grate inside the unit again for what ? door do not match up. Over priced by 25%

Love the look of the table. It really matches my décor. However, online it showed the 2 outside lids opening up 180 degrees. It even has pull-out wood supports to lend support when lids are opened all the way. But the hinges provided do not allow for 180 degree opening. In fact the hinges, keep the lids from even opening 90 degrees. Kind of disappointing to say the least.

I think some older reviews call out some problems with the piece but I think they have been fixed because mine is great. Solid piece that looks great!

Absolutely love the coffee table!!

I was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful this piece of furniture is in my living room! I has plenty of storage space and the drawer will work perfectly for the remotes.
