out of all the fans i’ve bought, i absolutely love this one. Such a modern sleek look and really good quality for the price. It’s a nice matte black, it’s stainless proof so when putting it on it never let any finger stains on it which is awesome. The fan blows very well i reccomend the meduim level for small to meduim rooms. The high level blows a lot so i recommend that level for much bigger rooms. Only think was that putting it together was definitely a hassle but a quick youtube search helped a lot. Besides that i definitely recommend for the price. Would buy again 10/10

Nice looking fan, but ability to reverse the blades in winter and summer, is ridulously difficut. You can't use the remote, and the switch is placed above the fan, on top of the motor, under a cover. It's a ceiling fan!! You must climb up and reach on top of the fan, raise the cover over the motor, and then change the switch. We didn't discover this until the fan was installed in a catheral ceiling room. It is now impossible for us to reverse the blades without a skyscraper ladder! Another disappointment is the speed of the low setting of the fan - it is too fast. Big disappointment but we are stuck with it.

Installation instructions were excellent. Easy to follow and understand. I had one misstep but that was my fault and took just a few minutes to get it right. I do notice the fan hums a little however, I'm still keeping it.

This item was OOO for a long time, we finally received it and the Gold trim part came as Matte black. We specifically ordered this just for the Gold part, and the wood blade color is also more of a space grey

We have had 2 of the blades break and the last one flew off and hit my TV, breaking it completely. Do NOT buy this fan!

Buyer beware! Read the reviews of the replacement light kit: Known to be problematic. My LED self-destructed for no good reason after about 18 months (see photo). Apparently, this is the longest lifetime one can expect from this proprietary LED. Replacement kits are about $20 and usually out of stock. I bet that this is not covered by the limited lifetime warranty, but I will be sure to ask on Monday. Better to use a design that uses commonly-available bulbs that last much longer, and save yourself the trouble.

The fan looks great but, doesn't move hardly any air. An electrician installed this in the master bedroom of our new build home. We have 9' ceilings and the room is about 14x14. On high, laying in bed right underneath the fan, I can't feel the air movement. And it's not that the fan isn't spinning correctly. The blades are just not pitched drastically enough. We had a Quorum brand fan in our previous master bedroom that blows this fan out of the water. Even the much less expensive Hunter fan in our previous living room outdoes this fan. We don't need the light as we'd installed recessed but, it's adequate for laundry and such at night. I wouldn't want to rely on it for seeing enough to clean floors after dark. Very underwhelmed. 3 stars because it looks great, is very well balanced without messing with it, and the electrician said it installed well (better than a different model from HD that went in our great room).

The sensor for the remote is not integrated in the fan. It is completely separate and needs to be wired in between the fan motor and the junction box. It is too big to fit below the ceiling including anywhere on/in the fan. Not sure what the manufacturer was thinking other than this is an design afterthought to accommodate the LED light. Ended up wiring the fan and light directly to two separate wall mounted switches as I had a shallow junction bow. Everything works but there is no speed control for the fan. The fan was super easy to install. It was even easier to put together. The blades are plastic which I didn’t expect but it works great goes with the rest of my electronics in my bedroom. It puts out more air than my last ceiling fan did, it even moves the bed skirt! The light is super bright and dimmable by holding the light button on the remote l even love the remote caddy.

I’ve had this fan since 2018, I love it. It’s in my bedroom and it’s so quiet. Today the light started flickering, so I went on HD website where I read it’s dimmable, I didn’t realize that. I learned from others questions. I dimmed it and it seems to be ok now. I like this fan so much that if the light fails I’ll order a replacement.

I really like the aesthetic of the fan, the only problem I had with installation is that the sensor for the remote will not fit in the wire box. Other than that it works and blows fine

This fan is a nice matte black color and the pieces seem well made. It only comes with a short, approximately 4" down rod, so any longer rod will need to be purchased separately. The included LED light package has a Samsung LED. It also comes with a remote control which requires additional wiring and connections when installing the fan. The blades have an interesting design feature (see photos) with a downward bend on one edge. I don't notice a difference in air movement compared to previous fans, but something to note. I was disappointed my box was missing the instructions, but they are available and easy to find online and through the Home Depot website. I received instructions for light assembly and balancing the blades, but not general instructions. Assembly was relatively easy, but I do have a decent amount of fan hanging experience. It is definitely a two person job, especially when holding the fan to secure wiring and hang it from the mounting bracket.

My review of the Home Decorators Collection Merwry 48” matte black ceiling fan with integrated light and remote control. Beautiful fan for sure. Has some nice features that make it less frustrating to install that other ceiling fans I've installed. The blades get installed first, with the motor on a table. This makes what is normally a challenging job much easier. Also screws are not visible when looking up at the fan. The blades are made of a plastic material. They are clearly labeled as to which side goes up. I also like the remote. Simple and easy to operate. It also can be programmed to different 'frequencies' to eliminate any problems from other remotes in the area. The programming is done via dip switches on the remote and receiver module. Since the receiver is located at the ceiling above the fan and is covered, it is a bit of a challenge to access this to change after the fan is installed. The fan comes with a balancing kit to correct for any wobble. It comes with an instruction sheet on how this is done. Fan rotation is reversible BUT the switch to do this is above the fan motor and behind a cover. So I need a ladder to access it. Kind of a pain. An issue I had was that the fan was it arrived without installation instructions. Not sure if this is how it is suppose to come or not. Easy enough to fix as The Home Depot website has soft copy links on the item web-page to get the documents related to the fan. In a way it saves paper waste but if that was the reason then it should have been noted on or in the box because I lost some time having to go look up the instructions. Another issue to look for is the power cable that feeds through the down rod. The cable has white fiberglass insulation on it. I think the packaging people could have done a better job of protecting this cable so it does not rub on the metal parts while in the box. I am happy with the fan.

I have a few of these in my house for good reasons. This fan is a great combination of modern style without being overly designed. It’s the simplest fan I have installed. It’s got a super easy remote control and the cost was very reasonable. The matte black finish looks great in my house. It is the third Merwry fan I have installed in my house. The other two have worked dutifully for over a year. I didn’t have an issue with this remote working the other fans in the house but it did operate a Minka Aire fan I just got with a similar looking control box and remote. A great fan. Recommended.

Nice fans planning on putting it in one of my smaller rooms cuz it's only a 42in seems to be a world built to remote control that makes it a plus right there so far it seems to be working rather well with no issues the lights really bright for being a 42 inch fan it moves relatively good amount of hair would recommend this for anybody looking for a ceiling fan for a small room

This is a great ceiling fan. It is easy to install. If a person does not know how to install it a licensed professional should install it. It comes with hard plastic fan blades, an LED light bulb, amd a mat black finish. It has quiet motor technology. It is dimmable, and a bulb change is never needed. It also comes with a remote and batteries for the remote.

The fan itself is great, but the lights are horrible and good luck finding a replacement for anything. Our light went dim so we took the globe off to check it out and now the globe's broken too and you cannot find a replacement anywhere.

My husband is an electrician and installed this fixture with a small amount of annoyance. The screws included were preinstalled “way too tight” and according to him there was no other way of taking them off other than stripping the screws. The box and instructions say this fixture is dimmable but it does not clarify that this fixture is only dimmable with its own remote control. If you have a dimmer switch the fixture will completely malfunction. It will hum VERY loudly, the fan will only work while the light is on, and you will not be able to turn on/off the light with the remote (only the fan). After some troubleshooting my husband replaces our dimmer switch with a regular one and the issues were fixed. Super annoying, and in my opinion, stupid. This light should be able to function with or without the remote control. There are also no other control on the fixture itself to control the fan/light. So if you lose it, good luck.

You really can’t complain about this fan. It is fairly cheap. It looks very nice and works as it is supposed to. I wish the light was a little brighter but for the price I take what I get. I already bought two of these fans and will buy another for the third bedroom. It is fairly quiet which I love. It also works with my switch and turns on the same way it was left when turned off

I love the way this light looks, I have three of these in my house and all 3, the light randomly turns itself on, we never use the lights so we’ve basically just disconnected all the lights...

Simple install, sleek design, Pretty bright LED lights. All around very pleasing to look at adds nice decor to a room. Efficient? Fairly. Long lasting? Not in the slightest. I’ve had this fan for a little over 6 months. The control module seems to be fried or no longer receiving communication with the remote provided. I’ve changed the batteries, I re wired all the wires. Still no more motion/ lights. Came to a final conclusion the fan is done. Sucks it runs off a plastic not properly constructed module. I contacted Home Depot about the lifetime warranty. But haven’t heard back from them. Conclusion, don’t expect it to last.

Awesome fan for the money. Clean, modern, and quiet. Directions were pretty good and the install was straight forward. We love the remote instead of a pull chain. Works fine in our cathedral raised ranch kitchen with sloped ceilings. I just wish the bulb was brighter.

They reject my first review, probably because they want to keep the reviews of this bad fan above 4 stars. The glass is ridiculously fragile and breaks upon trying to remove it. The LEDs are known to be bad and go out within months to a few years. Save money and get a Hampton Bay or Hunter instead.

I have had this fan for about a month now and it has been great! I hope this picture helps for anyone wondering how it ACTUALLY looks.

I think there is a GHOST in our house too. We bought this a little under a year ago. No problem until a this month ago. I made sure the light were off before heading to bed and decide to get up in the middle and the light was on. I woke up everyone to asked if they were the one who left the light on, and they all said no. And just this evening while watching TV it came on all by itself.

This fan definitely looks good and modern, but the light randomly turns on. Thought my house was haunted but seems to be a reoccurring issue. Not fun for the light to turn on in the middle of the night.

We bought two of these fans. Loved them initially. They have a great sleek matte black finish. Which gave a small modern touch to our 1900s house. Just hit 6 months with them and the LED panel in one of them is completely burnt out and we have no idea what to do now. Do we buy a new fan? Do we buy a replacement part? It is ridiculous that it only lasted 6 months.

Am going to sue the manufacturer! One of the blades snapped off and hit my daughter in the middle of the night. Traumatic - now she is afraid of fans!! To be clear - it didn’t unscrew of anything - it snapped clear. See pictures.

I bought this in-store, so I didn't have a chance to read the reviews. Had I read them, I probably would've avoided this model due to the issues with the light kit. The fan itself works well. It's quiet, well balanced, and puts out a good amount of airflow. This model isn't fancy, but it's not bad looking either. The LED lights on the other hand, failed right out of the box. I had to order a replacement kit for $20 just to be able to use the light. I would not recommend this one if you ever plan on using the light.

Our bedroom is fairly large and this fans moves enough air to cool it. Painted the blades matte black too.
