Great Humidifier,

It raises the humidity in my bedroom without the water drops produced by the last humidifier I tried. Easy to maintain, just adding water once a day; I operate it on low.The water canister is well designed---easy to carry with the built in handle and I can set it on the counter while I fill it. I am flipping the filter to prolong its life and that is easy to do, too. I have not tried washing the various components in the dishwasher yet. Cons--you do hear the fan even on low. But, it is more like gray noise and does not interrupt my sleep. It was a little larger than I envisioned, taking up most of my night stand table top. But overall, I love that I am sleeping better with the humidifier running.

I found this humidifier to be very quiet, in fact we are not aware of it at night when we use it. We have had immediate relief from dryness in the throat and nasal areas. We are pleased with this product.

Great little humidifier, easy to clean. There was a plastic smell from the motor for a few days that disappeared. The high setting does a great job to get the humidity up, then the lowest setting maintains it well and is extremely quiet - could use it in a bedroom. We use a small hygrometer to check the humidity. Would buy again, and I love Home Depots pick up option.

I would NOT recommend this product as it doesn't add enough water to the air. Buy a "warm mist" humidifier but beware they all make some noise as they boil a little to make a mist. Use them in the daytime and turn them off at night so you can sleep without noise.

This is the best humidifier we've had. It works great.

No complaints from here after two months of use. I am using VERY hard tap water without significant discoloration on filter and no signs of white mineral deposits on dark colored furniture – a real problem with ultrasonic type units. I have not needed to clean any part of unit yet. As previously reviewed, unit extremely quiet on low, noticeable but I found acceptable on mid ( I am not a light sleeper) and very distracting on high in a relatively small room. This unit has no bells and whistles with the exception of UV light. The simplicity can be a good thing as in only $58 from Home Depot, very easy to clean & refill and very few components with potential for problems. Missing with the unit is the ability to automatically control humidity level in room. However, my basic research told me that humidity controls on most makes/models are relatively inaccurate anyway. Simple solution was to purchase a small (3”x2.5”) Acurite digital humidity & temperature monitor ($10 at Home Depot) to read performance of unit and adjust the humidifier fan level for room accordingly. I actually bought 3 of these Acurite monitors to test accuracy against a bench mark and did find variations in temperature (2 degrees) and humidity (3%) - good enough for controlling general room humidity levels. There are many room variables affecting humidity control. I am using unit in 14x14 bedroom connected to average sized master bath & walk-in closet with 8’ ceilings. Take note – as in my situation, a central hot air system will draw humid air from your desired humidity controlled room(s) via return air ducts, every time a thermostat calls for heat and turns on central circulation fan. Obviously, on colder nights the hot air system will run more often and drawl more volume of humid air from controlled room through return ducts and replace with dryer air from elsewhere in house. I found it just took a little trial and error to get the right humidity levels as measured with Acurite monitor for different outdoor conditions. Knowing the proper fan speed, determining which doors to keep open and closed and when to turn unit on before bedtime, quickly became predictable, just by watching the outside temperature. My only concern, with this unit like most units, is that the very large and thick filter stays saturated with water 24 hours/day. They should not be squeezed so difficult to dry out and I would assume could become a breeding ground for mold fairly quickly. I guess one option could be to buy a second filter immediately and alternate daily/often to avoid long/continuous oversaturation with water. I might just try taht.

easy,quiet,exactly what I wanted and expected.

I am very, very happy with this dehumidifier! It is very quiet on the low setting - the only one we use. It has a nice reservoir, which is easy to fill, and lasts 2 nights easily. Most importantly, it seems to humidify the air much better than our last humidifier. I would purchase this again.

Very quite HumWe bought this cool mist humidifier to replace one that was at least 20 yrs old.Our old one was so noisy that we could not hear the tv in the same room with it running. This Honeywell Cool Mist Humidifier is so quite that we don't even know when it is running. Love the peace & quite.

This is about our fourth humidifier in the past 15 years. Clearly, none of them is built to last for more than a couple of years. This one got great reviews from independent consumer ratings and is by a good company. It's a little larger (wider) than I'd prefer but is streamlined in design, quiet in operation, and price worthy. I'm hoping for three years!

I used this for two weeks in our bedroom and woke up with a sore throat every day for the two weeks both me and my wife. I took care of the filter WIck , turned it upside down every time I filled up with water it eventually smelled like mildew . I returned it to the Home Depot store no problem will try a different one with a different kind of filter system.

This is a great humidifier and easy to use. The gallon fill usage last for 12 hours when it is run on medium speed. While running the motor noise is not overly loud.

Cleaning humidifiers is never fun. Most make it difficult to do, so it doesn't get done, so foks either get sick using them or get sick OF using them. The ease of cleaning the reservoir and water path on the Honeywell 1 gallon cool mist humidifier makes it realistic to clean regularly, BEFORE any buildups make cleaning difficult or impossible. The filters can be annoying to line up properly, but work well. There are good hints many places on the web about getting the most out of this unit (things like turning filters over at every cleaning.) Highly recommended.

Have had this for about 2 weeks now and really like it. It is easy to assemble, clean, pretty quiet and easy to refill water tank. The filter does get a little cruddy after a couple of uses, so I do what others have recommended and let it dry out and flip it each time.

Great for the bedroom. No longer shocking the dog every time I touch him.

Well built and simple. I am not sure how long the light will last. I wish the water container was bigger.
