Relatively straight forward installation. Wire bundle from furnace to thermostat must contain 5 wires to successfully connect thermostat. Fortunately my home was furnished with a 5 conductor cable during initial install. Works like a basic programmable thermostat, but with all the convenience of mobile connectivity added in. Convenient to change thermostat settings from mobile device, especially when spouse doesn't want fan running and you do. I'd like a few more schedule start/stops available each day. Wake, depart, return and sleep is all that's currently available and at times you may want to have home warmed up if you stop in for lunch. It's been installed for a month or so and meets all my expectations.

The thermostat works well, able to access when not at house and have connected it to my Alexia. Only reason not 5 stars it is very tricky to get it connected, but the FAQ are good and tech support is good, so overall I am pleased with the thermostat. I added a photo of the interface on my iPhone.

A simple concept gone completely sideways—connect a programmable thermostat to your wifi—easy to do (such as when you visit somewhere and they give you the wifi password) and muddled completely by incomplete product documentation, outdated product documentation, an unfriendly App to download and set up EVEN if you plan to use Alexa to operate it. Finally found the right website, convinced them I really purchased the product, and it all finally works. THEN, let’s try to get the $50 rebate from PG&E— half-baked instructions there that seem to rely on some of the loose pieces of documentation from the box and a recent PG&E bill and photos of previous thermostat and your tax id number and omg. done. buy something simpler.

I like my Honeywell Wi-Fi 7 - Day Programmable Thermostat. It was easy to setup and the wifi and free app helps me save money.

This came with complete instructions. Unfortunately I didn't turn to page two about the C wire and went to Chat with Honeywell to find out I had to go the the furnace itself to connect a C wire and jump two other wires with the enclosed white wire. Well, I'm 70 and the furnace is actually under the house. I would have to go into the crawl space and find the wires under there. Not my cup of tea. Maybe other brands, like Nest is easier. Maybe I need to pay an electrician. It didn't meet my expectations, but then I had much higher expectations.

Needed a new thermostat for our A/C Furnace unit. We still had the old mercury switch. I wanted something to have a schedule, auto mode selections, and learning functions. This unit works great! It requires a C wire to operate. The old mercury switch did not have the C wire so I had to hook up a wire to the C wire location on the board inside the A/C handler. Be sure to shut your power off and only install this if you are confident in your abilities. The WiFi feature was an added bonus cause initially I didn't want the feature, I have grown to like it. It is nice when you are in bed and want to change the temperature without getting out of bed. The app also allows you to easily setup the schedule. Trying to do it on the unit itself takes three times as long than setting the schedule on the app. Definitely happy with our purchase and upgrade.

It performed flawlessly. I bought 2, since I have a dual HVAC system and they both work well. I set them up to work on my xfinity wifi app and on my phone. Very easy to learn and use.

Very easy to install. and programming . I always recommend to all my customers Nj and building customers in NY. And for the price , very good Thermostat. i been doing for the past 8 years , never got any call back, other that services maintenance on ac units.

It was pretty easy to install once I figured out my old thermostat did not have a "C" wire, but the wire was still in the cable on the thermostat and furnace ends. Wifi was easy to set up. Nice upgrade.

Overall setup was easy. WiFi works well. Rated 4 star because sometimes machine does not follow schedule and time can only follow mobile device when on wifi.

Easy to install and operate

This was very easy for my husband to install. You must have a C-wire for installation. I know there are newer more flashy models, as this is one of the older versions. It works the same as the newer models and the price point was great as we needed to install (3) of them as we have (3) zones in our home.

I checked to make sure I had 5 wires and verified 24 volts.. All hooked up and working fine.

The thermostat was easy to install. I love the convenience of changing the temperature from the app on my phone. It was a great investment. I’ve had it for a week now and have no complaints.

Make sure you have a C wire. My house is a little older so I needed to buy an adapter for a C wire connection.I chose to keep it simple and just run the wire down the wall instead of through it. Other than that the app works great and I can control it while I lay my lazy self in the bed.

After purchasing and installing 3 of these I have found out they rarely work over wifi. I contacted Honeywell customer support and said they don't have an issue but that it won't work correctly for another month while they do server maintenance. Literally they told me them not working was acceptable and there is nothing they will do. Save your money and time. If you're ok with

I bought three of these to control my houses while I'm away. They are working great. Just be aware they require the "c" wire from the furnace for power. It was easy to find and connect in my case.

Not always the cheapest is the best. I bought two appliances more than a week ago and none of them work properly. I have already made three calls of more than one hour each by telephone and always after countless attempts the answer is always the same: Our servers are in trouble. I understand that server is something that is vulnerable to problems, but running out of power for more than a week? Amateurism is the name of it. I emphasize that telephone service is excellent, but the quality of Honeywell services is terrible. Sometimes 20 or 30 dollars more expensive, but of another brand, it is worth the headache that you will not have. Definitely NOT RECOMMEND !!!!!

Works very well, Instructions for installation are easy to understand. My only complaint is the instructions for setting up wi-fi. You don't know if your connected and get errors. After figuring that out, it has worked flawlessly. I never knew how much I would appreciate being able to check my furnace while I'm at work (On the road). We had been having problems with my furnace not coming on. If you turned it off then back on it would work fine for days then all of a sudden not come on. With this thermostat, I can check the indoor temp and if it is lower than the thermostat setting, I could turn it off then back on and it would start working again. Aslo, the programmability is awesome. You won't be disappointed.

So my wife complained that our old programmable thermostat wasn't taking her changes. Inspected it and found some burnt up capacitors. Our furnace is a heat pump hybrid with an existing gas furnace. Looking at the documentation online, some of the wiring did not match our configuration. Contacted Honeywell and the lady guided me through and assured this would work. Installed and eventually got the configuration right -- and most importantly the wife is happy. Very good support and a very good price. Don't bother programming the unit at the wall -- its so much easier to do it on the wifi app. Project took about 3 hours.

Very easy to install and use. Bright display.

I have three of these in my home, and I can see what they are all set to and doing right from the phone app. The unit was less expensive than most others with similar capability's the biggest difference is the lack of a touch screen but who cares my phone has a touch screen and that's where I make all the changes from any ways. Setting the schedules up is a whole lot easier from my desk rather than paging through endless screens on the unit it's self. Installation, network set up, and registration was straightforward and did not not require a degree in IT engineering. However you must have a "common wire" to the thermostat C terminal from the air handler. I had to upgrade the wiring to the thermostat (4 wire to 5 wire) I knew this going in and in my situation the thermostats were located near the air handlers so not a huge deal; the upside is no batteries are needed for the thermostat to operate and since leaking batteries destroying a thermostat was the catalyst for this project I was happy to run new thermostat wire.

Wish it had the option to run just the fan

Had a handyman try to install another wifi thermostat a couple years ago and was told I did not have the proper wires. Bought this on a whim while my brother (reasonably handy with a screwdriver and super tech savvy) was here and he hooked it up, then had it working with my cell and my Alexa within an hour start to finish. Now I can push the buttons like a "normal" themostat, change temps (all the way from heat to cool) from my cell phone in another city, and LOVE THIS that I can change the temp at night without leaving my bed just by talking to Alexa. Great investment for the money and the right shape to cover the spot the dated unit was in.
