Exactly what we needed & wanted. Great fan!

I bought this fan for my living room. It looks very nice, but the lighting on it sucks. It’s very dim. I changed the bulb to a different one and it was still very dim.

Nice and quiet however, the engineers that designed the installation process should be fired. Get a third hand for this install.

This is a beautiful fan. I have purchased three of them and all work quietly and smoothly. Love the grayish color blades. Photos do not do it justice it is really well made.

A *strongly* discourage you from buying this fan. I bought 5 of these for my new construction home approximately a year ago. They were all professionally installed. One of the pull chains broke off---VERY POOR quality given I hardly ever use the pull chains given the fan (both fan and light) is attached to a wall switch. I only use the pull switch to adjust the fan speed. Anyhow, I contacted Hunter because I couldn't find a replacement part on their website. Guess what? They don't make the replacement part. Thus, I'm out of luck. They said they would send me a replacement fan (at cost!) and I could remove the part I needed and send the fan back. What the heck kind of customer service is that? How do you not make parts for a fan that is STILL be sold? While the fan looks nice, I'm very disappointed in not only the quality, but more importantly, the company's failure to address the issue of a replacement part. Why would you inconvenience the consumer and ask them to remove the needed part, send the fan back, etc.? I mean does this make any sense at all? Mind you, I would have paid for a replacement part---but it simply is NOT available. Take it from this university professor, F for failure all around.

Love how this new fan goes with my new decorated kitchen. It is VERY quiet and gives off a lot of air, also love that the blades are not so big and fits well in our new kitchen, the look is awesome, nothing like having a HUNTER fan. The light is very bright and great for cooking and love that it is a LED light so will not need to replace blubs often if at all . Our formal fan was also a HUNTER fan that had been working for over 20yrs but blades were too long and when open a cabinet door it will hit the fan, in addition it was brass with wooden blades and wish to have it updated

I purchased 4 Hunter Antero 46” indoor ceiling fans with lights and could not have made a better selection. The ceiling fans look sleek and are practically silent when operating on low and medium speeds. I highly recommend this Hunter ceiling fan. You will not be disappointed.

This remote came in a bundle. It is a universal remote, very easy to install just above the motor. No need to run any extra wires. Perfect for my lanai because I was able to wire my new fan to an outdoor outlet and just use this remote to turn on the fan, adjust the fan speeds. My fan does not have a light attached so I cannot comment on the light function on the remote.

This remote was already paired with it's receiver. That is so helpful. The little LED lights let you know the batteries work which was super helpful during installation (is the problem with the remote, the switch being turned off, the wiring, etc.?). It doesn't feel super lightweight compared to the other one I have. If you're adding to the wall, make sure it's level to the other switches.

Installed easily & looks wonderful!

In the dark. We purchased and installed 6 of these Hunter Antero ceiling fans(46" and 54") and although we love the contemporary look of the brushed nickel color blade side... the (2) 9.8LED bulbs that are included are definitely NOT BRIGHT at all once the frosted glass cover is screwed on. Hunter responded to us that the maximum wattage allowed is a 75w/14wLED bulb which emits plenty of light however the frosted glass cover will not screw back on the fan base because those bulb shapes are significantly larger. See attached photo showing the (1) LED 9.8w that is included with the fan and (1) 14wLED brighter bulb.

Very good looking product. And it is quiet too. You can change the direction of flaps so that you can have two colors with the same product. We have used those for our vacation rentals. Comes with the bulbs.

Pros: displays looks stylish, clean , in style. Took 1 hour to install. Lights fairly well. Nice brushed nickel finish and 2 choices of fan blade color options (blades reversible) No vibrations , turns smoothly. Cons: slight motor drone/humm/electrical noise when wall dimmer switch is set on low setting. I purchased 2 of these fans, they both make the noise, on 1 fan the noise is more noticeable then the other. Kind of annoying but just adjust the dimmer a little higher.

We've installed these fans all through our house and love them. They're fairly easy to install, with a little patience for some screws that are a bit difficult to reach, but once they're up they work very well. A handy balance kit is included and once that's used, the fans have 0 wobble to them even running at full speed.

Installed it all myself. all the packages of screws were labeled which made the directions very easy. The fan itself looks awesome. Even comes with 2 led bulbs

I purchased this fan for my Mom for Mother's Day. We were looking for a fan that still had chain pulls for the light and fan functions but, would also prove to show as a more modern ceiling fan in the bedroom. I took my time installing this fan, it took me a few hours. It was so worth it! Love the look! Love how the white wash blades blend in better with the ceiling and the crome.

Used the dark fan blades - love the look! Changed 3 fans to this model, one with larger blades. We were shocked how is transformed the look of our home.

Overall a solid fan. Installation was a bit tricky but guide was very clear.

We bought this fan a few weeks ago. It is beautiful and looks great in my sewing room. The LED lighting is bright and a really nice upgrade from the standard light fixture that we replaced. However, I simply cannot give this fan 5 stars for appearance and lighting only. I had to take away a couple of stars because I wouldn't buy a second one in this model. First reason was installation - the part where the final screw goes in to attach the light kit was ridiculous. Super tiny screw that has to be placed in between a big pile of wires. I guess a magnetic screwdriver would be a huge help, but trying to hold that tiny thing and get it into the hole while navigating around all those wires took many, many attempts before I was successful. The rest of the install process wasn't too bad, but I saw the benefit of the 5-minute fan we had purchased for our bedroom! The other issue is the light cover, which has to be twisted into place. A few days after installation, the fan was making a humming noise on all fan speeds, but no hum if just the light was turned on and the fan was off. The fan didn't make a humming noise after installation, but started after we had removed the light cover to change fan direction. This feature is very annoying! Who wants to remove the light cover to change the fan direction? If we had known this before purchase, we wouldn't have bought this fan, but it's impossible to see these details on a ceiling fan above you in the store. Once we removed the light cover and then put it back, the humming stopped. So, if your fan hums when the fan is on, it may be the light cover, which obviously needs to placed just right. I'm happier with it now that we figured out the source of the humming. If we want to change fan direction or need to change the bulbs, we will make sure that the light cover is placed back correctly. I added some longer, decorative pulls so that I can reach them since we have 9' ceilings.

This is a beautifully designed fan. We upgraded from a 42" Hunter to this 46" as we wanted more air flow. As Plosh mentioned in a another review, Home Depot now carries an upgraded LED version. However, it would seem that the upgraded model moves less air. I was able to find a closeout on the CFL version. Per the Hunter website, and the box, the CFL model moves 4432 CFM at high speed. The LED version is rated at 3100 or so CFM. That's quite a bit less air movement, and was actually less than our older 42" model. I'm going to try and contact Hunter to see if this is for sure the case, as the model numbers are identical. Either way, an easy upgrade down the road to change to LED, as it's a standard bulb socket. It would just need to need to smaller. Installation was straight forward. A magnetic screwdriver comes in handy for installing the light, as the box is pretty crowded. Other than that, went very smoothly, and works great.

I usually prefer to have a fan and light switch on the wall wired with the appropriate romex for the extra wire for the fan, however in our master bedroom it wasn’t possible to fish new wire to the ceiling fan due to attic access issues. This switch will give you the ability to control your fan and lights separately without the use of the pull chains, and since it uses a wireless remote you can place the remote cradle wherever you wish or move the remote around the room with you if desired. Install – Install was very easy. After turning off the breaker, simply remove the ceiling box cover and wire the controller in following the wiring chart included. Our Hunter fan had a black wire with a white stripe instead of a blue wire for the fan, but other than that it was very straight forward. I also have to commend Hunter for including wire nuts in the packaging as I always find it annoying when they are not included. The controller is small enough to fit under the dome or even in the ceiling box if it’s standard size. You will also need a small Phillips screwdriver to install the button battery in the remote and then decide where to mount the remote cradle. You can either install it with screws or command release (included). We installed ours on the switch cover right next to the switch as we prefer to leave it in the cradle as to not lose it. Setup - There isn’t much to setup as the remote will most likely work right out of the box. Just be sure your switch and pull chains are on before starting, being sure the fan is set to high. Dimming did not work right away and the reference card for the remote had to be referenced to enable dimming. Being able to disable dimming can be very helpful when you are using LED or CFL bulbs without dimming capability, especially somewhat expensive LED candelabra bulbs. Impressions – I was very happy with the easy install and the small size of the remote. My only complaint with this unit is the somewhat lacking instruction card for the use of the remote. Setting the dimming mode and some of the other operations aren’t exactly clear, and better instructions would have been very helpful, and should have also been included on the main instruction sheet as there were absolutely no remote instruction on the main instructions. Overall I am very happy with this remote and would gladly buy a second when the need arises.

The fan looks great and was easy to install.

I have 4 ceiling fans, three indoors and one outside under a canopy. All the inside ceiling fans are controlled by switches that let me control the fan speed and lights (dimmer), but the outside could only be controlled by the pull chains since there is no good place to install switches and it would be a wiring mess. Low and behold I see this, it answers all my ceiling fan and light prayers (well almost). This installs like most other fan/light controls (the ceiling module looks like the ceiling module from a name brand switch manufacturer). Turn off the power to the circuit that your fan is on (unless you like getting zapped or like to temp fate). Remove the trim ring from the fan and make 4 wire nut connection (light, fan, power and neutral). Install the trim ring and turn on the power if you turned it off. Install the battery in the remote and you are done, unless you want to read the manual. Now I don't need to stand up and reach over the patio table and yank on chains to control the fan speed or the light brightness. Also as a bonus with none of the my other fan/light control can do it now I can dim LED and CFL bulbs in the ceiling fan if they are dimmable. It's nice on the outside so you can create some ambiance. All you need to remember is to keep the remote handy and not loose it. I don't think it is weather proof. As for answering all my ceiling fan/light prayers, if it were able to be connected to or controlled by a smart home product that would have been the cou degra. Then all I would need is a smartphone. Still I am very happy with it. Now I just need to wait till it warms up so be able to use it.

I recently installed a fan/light over the workbench in our outdoor workshop and was getting fed up with hitting my head on the on/off chain so I was very happy to discover this fan remote control. It was very easy to install with my existing fan and the remote provides a good range of fan control features including fan/light on/off, fan speed and even dims the lights if your fan has dimmable bulbs. The remote comes with a specially designed bracket which can be attached to the wall so you never lose the remote. Installing the receiver/controller box in the fan was very straightforward using the included instructions. The design allows the control box to be hidden inside the top canopy cover that normally covers the fan mounting bracket and wires. It is very easy to wire up and the kit even includes new wire nuts. Once installed it is completely hidden from view which makes for a very tidy installation. The remote control has a specially designed bracket that can be used to store the remote when not in use. The kit comes with a couple of screws or a double sided sticky pad to attach it to the wall. The remote has a range of up to 75' and the included battery will last up to 5 years according to the info on the packaging. Installing the battery in the remote will require a smaller Phillips screwdriver and even with the screw removed, the cover takes a bit of force to pry it off to fit the battery. The remote provides a good range of control over the fan/light including: Fan on/off Light on/off Fan speed Light dimming (if dimmable bulbs are fitted to the fan light) It comes with a 12 month warranty and can be used indoors our outside since the remote control is rated for use in damp environments.
