This fan looks pretty good hanging in a spare room. Might be a bit much for the size of the room. At top speed in clockwise rotation the pressure is so high the fan will start to wobble. Tried all we could with balancing then finally realized it was the pressure. Run quiet and smooth at next to fastest speed. Also will not wobble at all in full speed in reverse directly. Install was fairly easy and having the 2' down rod made it perfect for our 8' ceiling. The Hunter Fan app makes it easy to control all the features of the fan as well. We actually have 3 of these fans.

installation takes like 3 hrs going in slow paste. my only problem was my samsung s9 has a feature for wifi optimization that unables the part when is about to pair with the fan to the app. so I used another old phone. then I used my phone with alexa and work perfect just remember to set skill after you enable the app from hunter so Alexa can find it.

I really wanted to like this fan, mainly because I love Hunter fans and this is all that plus it will interface to my Google Home. First, this new design just feels cheaper than the old Hunter fans. The fan runs quiet, but it's not completely balanced. Setting up the remote and Google Home. First, they aren't really clear about installing the remote battery, or which way it goes in. Second, you get prompted for an 8-digit fan key, which you had better get before you mount it, otherwise you aren't going to see it as it sits on the top of the unit, facing the ceiling. The app requires registration - not unlike many other apps. The app is really rather crude and provides only basic functionality. Another odd thing is that every time you issue a command to the unit you hear a loud beep - you can disable the audio feedback in the app however. Integration with Google Home was similar to many other products and easy. The biggest thing I found as a weakness was that I could not control the speed of the fan through Google Home, only on/off. The light did have the typical dimming capability through Google Home. All in all I'm rather disappointed with this product, it could have been so much better.

This fan is simply amazing, it has WiFi and can be controlled through Apple, Google or Alexa. The shipping was very prompt and packaging excellent. The installation instructions are very clear and the installation itself was very straight forward without any problems whatsoever. The matte nickel finish is simply gorgeous and five bleached grey/matte nickel reversible blades compliment it very well. The Whisper Wind motor delivers very powerful air movement with such quiet performance that you do not hear any noise at all. It comes with remote control and LED dim able bulbs. Great fan and I would recommend it to everyone.

Blades are well constructed. Love the beveled edges for more air distribution. The motor is extremely powerful, yet quiet. The remote is easy to use. No more summer/winter switch to fool with on the fan. The remote changes it from the ease of your couch. The only issue I have is the app for hookup to Alexa will not work. Still trying to figure that out. The matte nickel finish accents our guest bedroom. I got this one and one in matte black. Both are awesome. Pictures of this one are components. This is at least the eighth ceiling fan I’ve installed, and it was the easiest installation I’ve ever done. Hunter really gave careful thought to the process, with clearly distinguished parts bags that matched perfectly with nicely illustrated instructions. They also designed the best mounting bracket I’ve ever seen. It extends down from the junction box and provides easy access to the wiring. This is a major improvement over the old styles that fit snug to the box and made wiring much more difficult. Better yet, they’ve finally eliminated the separate remote-control receiver box that used to be so challenging to fit into the ceiling enclosure. Now, the receiver is built into the fan unit and works seamlessly with the remote straight from the box. [Note that, for sloped ceilings, a down rod may be required (purchased separately) to complete the installation. In this case, the standard ball fitting at one end of the down rod needs to be swapped with a special fitting that comes with the fan.] The fan unit comes with wiring for a single or double wall switch. I connected mine to continuous power at the ceiling, so the wire for a double wall switch was capped and tucked into the junction box. After the main unit is connected and mounted, the light kit is affixed to the bottom, provided LED bulbs are fitted and a thick glass enclosure completes the super simple installation. If there were anything I could complain about, it would be the screws that attached the ceiling enclosure. They look nice installed, but they are so thin I found them fiddly to handle, but this was very minor. The light fixture is dimmable and there is a simple step with the remote that enables this feature. The light is incredibly bright and dims through about 7 or 8 steps down to a modest brightness. I am amazed by how quiet the fan is and the bearings must be very high quality because the fan keeps turning long after it’s switched off. I can’t recommend this fan enough. It has a great contemporary look, is very high quality, easy to install and works beautifully.

The Cavera II Ceiling Fan by Hunter not only looks great but it also incorporates modern technology. This fan will be a welcome addition to any room with its clean lines and sleek matte black finish. The aerodynamic fan blades aid in providing optimal air movement at extremely fast speeds. Even though this fan is fast and powerful, it is exceptionally quite. Even at the highest speed setting the fan is surprising still with no wobble or vibration whatsoever. The fan also has a reversible motor, allowing you the ability to change direction based on your needs throughout the year. The light kit comes equipped with two LED lightbulbs that are mounted at the base of the fan. The LED lights provide more than enough light for any room size. Additionally, the LED lights are completely dimmable through the remote control (which is included) or through the Wi-Fi App. The frosted glass globe covers the lights and adds to the overall appearance of the ceiling fan. Instillation is extremely simple and only took about a half hour from start to finish. The instructions are detailed and easy to follow. Now for the only negative, setting up the Wi-Fi feature. It is far from simple and quick. The App takes an extremely long time to load and throughout that process it continually crashes. Once you finally get the App to load it once again takes a long time to connect to the designated device. After you get it paired it gives you the option for simple set up or advanced set up. We were never able to get the advanced set up to work, however you can still get all the functions of the fan to work through the simple set up. Then the final step, is connecting the ceiling fan to your smart home device, such as Alexa. This doesn’t take nearly as long because you have already paired the ceiling fan with your smart phone, through the App. With all of that being said this is an amazing ceiling fan that I would highly recommend.

First I must say that this is a well constructed high quality fan. 52” with plenty of airflow for a large room. Whisper quiet even in high setting. Installation was fairly easy, except for attaching the fan blade mounts to the fan itself. Other fans have easier installation methods. Setting up WiFi was straight to the point. Couple of things that stood out to me: the fan beeps loudly every time you use the remote; even with the shortest down rod, the fan hangs down a total of 15” from the ceiling. That’s a good bit of space to take up. Otherwise, beautiful fan, solid construction and weight (22ish lbs), and very bright with stock bulbs. You will not be disappointed.

5-Star 'Dumb Fan' with 1 star 'smarts' - The fan is handsome, it was easy to install, moves some air, and operates silently (minus the beep - more on that later).  This is the 5th hunter fan I've installed in my home, I keep coming back because they've been silent, well balanced, and reliable (we run them pretty much non-stop from Apr to Oct). This was the first with 'smart features' which was part of the selling point - this was put in our daughter's room (under a year old) and wanted to be sure we could control/verify the fan at bedtime or during the night without having to get out of bed. (#TiredParents)  I noticed other reviewers commented on the beep when using the remote, but there is now documentation stating you can disable via the app. Ahh, this is where it all falls apart. Like so many others I can't for the life of me get the app and fan to connect. I consider myself fairly tech savvy and across my phone and tablet (both Android) have spent an unreasonable amount of time trying to get it to work with no luck.  So a good looking fan that performs fan duties well and is easy to install, it would be an easy 5 start unit without the smart features. It's hard to justify the premium for smart features if they don't work or are so difficult to use you abandon them anyways. I noticed many support articles on Hunter's site have been updated recently so I'm hopeful software updates are also in the works to address these issues. Get these ironed out and we're back to 5 stars. 

I have two of these installed in my home, one in my living room and one in the master bedroom. I had to exchange the one in my living room due to balance issues but the replacement worked out perfect, so that leads me to believe the original was defective. I opted for the shorter down rod for my upstairs room which leads to less wobble than the default longer down rod (both of which are barely noticable) Due to running off of the remote, app and home assistants the wall switches won't control the dimming, but that's a small price to pay for the ease of use via other methods. Though one more issue I have is I find it difficult/impossible to control the dimming feature via the standard remote and I'm only able to do so with the app or home assistant.

Recommend, yes, but read the review first...this product probably needs to be recalled due to faulty machining on the motor mounting plate where the blades connect to the motor. Follow some steps below BEFORE attempting to install the fan. I purchased 3 of these fans at one time and have installed 2, and overall I have 4 Hunter Fans of similar vintage. The biggest issue is the quality of the machining of the steel/aluminum fan blade connection point to the motor. On each of the two fans I installed I had significant issues/truly significant issue screwing the fan blades into the mount plate. The three screw holes were not machined properly (2 on one fan, 1 on the other) and the back sides of them had to be ground/clipped to allow the screw to pass through the hole completely. I'm pretty handy so I was able to make it work, but your average person is NOT going to be able to mount the fan blades to the plate if there is a similar issue on their fan. Keep in mind, following the instructions, you wouldn't even know there was an issue until it is mounted and you are installing the fan blades. Of course on the first fan, it was the very last screw hole that caused the issue. On the second fan I found the issue earlier but still had to complete remove, repair, and remount the fan. On the third fan, I learned from the lessons of the previous two and checked the holes on the mounting plate immediately when I pulled it out of the box. There were to holes that were an issue on that blade mounting plate, but I was at least able to advance the screws with a pair of Vice-grips, and once I backed them out they threaded through fine. What a pain in the butt. So here is why I'm still recommending the fan and what I recommend you do to identify if you have this issue BEFORE you mount it to the ceiling. When you take the fan out of the box, immediately take one of the 'fan-blade-to-housing-screws' from the bag and run it through every single hole on the motor mount plate to make sure it threads through with no issue. Once you've done this, proceed with mounting the motor to the ceiling. This extra step will save you so much time and effort. If there is and issue threading the screw, and reasonable force won't work and you uncomfortable advancing the screws with Vice-grips take the fan back immediately...it's garbage and not worth the effort you're going to spend to mount the blades to the motor. Now...once mounted and working, everything works perfectly and the Apple Home Kit features are cool. I like that you can use both the light and fan on switches, through the remote, or via phone apps. It feels a little clunky at first with all the beeping and different set up things you have to do, but once you take the time to understand how the fan and remote and light switches work, it's actually very well conceived and easy to operate a multitude of ways: remote, switches, Hunter App, Apple Home Kit App. Very cool operational features. The only other knock is that the fan is a little bit loud (not too bad), but I have had this issue with other fans and it tends to fade as the motor breaks in...LOL...or you just get used to it. I wouldn't let this stop me from buying the fan. So bottom line. If you do not have a faulty fan blade to motor mounting plate screw hole, you are going to be really happy with this fan. If you do, it's complete garbage. Unfortunately all 4 of my hunter fans have had some type of moderate issues with the threading on these mounting plates, 2 of my hunter fans had significant issues, and 1 I was able to advance with the aid of Vice-grips. I really struggled with whether or not to give this fan 1 or 2 stars, but the reality is, if there weren't blade mounting plate issus, it would be a 5 star fan with a heavy recommendation...so only two stars for me, and a VERY cautious recommendation to try the screws before installing it. If the machining is right on your fan, you'll be thrilled! Great color, great features, wonderful air movement.

Installation was straight forward, and didn't take long. Was super simple to set up with iOS app as well as HomeKit. Looks great and is fairly quiet even at full power.

I almost didnt buy this. Dont let the bad reviews scare you away. Easy to install and setup. The only thing I have had issues with that i cant figure out how to make the dimmer to work. Homekit integration is great. I use my apple watch to turn the fan on/off pretty much exclusively.

This fan was pretty easy to assemble as the instructions were user friendly and easy to follow. The fan itself works great. It is what I expected and is easy to operate. I actually purchased 2 of them would certainly buy this product again.

Our primary reason for this purchase was the compatibility with Google Home. we installed in a bedroom. Pros Very well built Moves a LOT of air Quiet attractive handheld remote Install was straightforward. Love the Bracket that makes hanging the light easy while you connect wiring. Cons There are no manual switches (no pull chains) for when the remote dies or gets lost. The google home integration does not work well. I was required to create a Hunter account using their clunky app. Once i got the fan integrated into my google home it only works 50% of the time. Google doesn't know the status of the device and thinks it on when it is off or off when it is on. I am also unable to control the fan speed with google...just on and off. There is a significant delay between when i issue the command and when the device responds. The hunter app shows dimmer settings that i can adjust but i dont have a dimmer light. This is the only reason i gave 3 stars.

I was pleased to get this as it is advertised that it works with Alexa. I thought it was not that nice looking but since it was smart, I bought it anyway. I paid full price. I payed a master electrician to install it. When it got to the putting the glass dome cover on, the problem started. The glass dome was defective and would not fit onto the base. It needs 3 ridges to connect to and it had only 2. The electrician left and I took it back to Home Depot only to be told I needed to bring the entire fan in! Really? But they let me swap out the dome. So back home I went, and tried to connect to Alexa. Well, it didn't work. I added the skill to Alexa and looked at all those 1 star reviews that said it will not work. Egads. There is no wall switch, which I didn't care about since I was going to integrate it into my smart home. I had my super techy daughter try with her iphone - thinking that might be better than my brand new Samsung Galaxy S20 phone. Well, it didn't work for her either. Alexa simply cannot find it. Grrrrr... She wants to take it back and try a different brand & do it without the electrician (oh, I also hired a carpenter to insure it was sturdy up there). I am really really disappointed in both the manufacturer and Home Depot.

We had a fan in our 20” x 18” living room when we first moved in, but my wife thought a fanless light fixture would be better. After 5 years of sweating ourselves to death during the summer months, she finally relented to putting a fan back. At first we bought a Kichler fan that looks very similar to this one, but it had a built-in LED light fixture, and we had gotten used to the amount of light the previous fixture had put out, so it got returned. After an exhaustive search, we settled on this fan because it uses two A19 “regular” bulbs so we could up the wattage if we chose. The fan has a nice modern look, was easy to install, is very quiet even on high speed, and the Homekit integration was an added bonus for me as i am currently using Homekit as my main smarthome hub. Why I couldn’t give it 5 stars is because the first one i bought, the screws for the fan blades did not fit in the blade arms. Probably due to the pandemic, getting in touch with Hunter support took a full week, and they sent me another set of screws a week later which also didn’t fit. Rather than have to possibly wait another two weeks for replacement blade arms, I took the motor back down and exchanged it at the store for another one which worked out this time. My other complaint is that while the remote is nice, the fan should still come with a wall switch, even if it is a glorfied remote control like the Kichler had. All in all, I would buy it again, or definitely another Hunter connected fan

I bought the silver version of this fan and absolutely love it! It was so easy to install and I love the fact that I can control it with my phone! It is so quiet when it's running and the amount of light is perfect for it being the only light in that particular room. The design is so straightforward I think it fits with any decor. I'm going to get another one for a different room.

Great fan. Easy to add to Google. Connect the smart connect by hunter after setup of the app on your phone and it's done. Able to set speed and light brightness with voice as well as simple on off. Moves air well. Fast install. Great fan. First item in the bedroom remodel. Definitely gonna be getting more hunter wifi connected fans for the rest of the house.

Some purpose for purchasing this fan was it's advertised integration with Google home. It does not work and calling hunter support was a joke. I was told that there was nothing they could do. Don't buy this if you are looking to add it to your smart home system..... False advertising if you ask me

I saw these were featured at my store and looked like a screaming deal, so I bought 3, one for each of my kids rooms and the playroom. I'm not techy, and we only have an Alexa setup for music, so WiFi wasn't really something I thought I needed, but I'm so glad I have it now. It was so easy to setup, I just followed the video on my phone which had step by step instructions, I didn't even look at the manual. The app does pretty much the whole thing for you and we love the Apple features. My 13 year old set his room up on his phone and Alexa Dot by himself, so far he uses Siri on his phone the most to control it. I can also control it with my Apple watch too, which is nice because I always have it on me or my phone in my hand. I bought 2 silver ones for a more modern look and a white one for the room where I wanted it to blend in a little more. My kids love asking Siri to turn their light on and off, or dimming it up and down from their phone. I love that I can flash the light at them from downstairs when I need to get their attention too...added bonus. We don't turn the fan off since we like the feel of it, but do adjust the speed up and down, we like it colder when we sleep, man this fan blows some air! The instructions say the remote that came with it can reverse it, I've always had fans and never used that function, but if it's just a push of the button, I might try it now.
