Very nice tool set for the average homeowner. Very easy to carry around and keep everything in order. The case isn't very heavy. The plastic is nice. I like the slide out compartments. It met my expectations and surpassed them.

Great set to get things done

These sockets do work on 3/8" impact wrenches. They fit extremely loose and sloppy! If you notice, there is no hole in them to secure a hog ring or a pin detent like normal impact sockets. These work only with the ball type fasteners such as ratchets or the included extension. Made in China.

I've only had these a week, but my first impression of them is good. These Husky 3/8" drive impact sockets are nice, I really like the wobble that allows you to use at an angle and not have to be straight on the bolt. I like the pinless feature as it makes it easier to get on and off the impact drill. This 7 piece set gives me the sizes I needed most for off radius driving. I did get both the SAE and the metric 7 piece sets.

Anyone who has used pinned universal sockets knows the limitations: They work poorer and poorer the greater the angle from straight-on, and can jam up so that you can't even turn them. The rotation is jerky - not conducive to accurate tightening at all. These sockets solve that issue. The drive is a circular ball with grooves, and the turning is as smooth as if you were going straight-on. I put a bolt into a vise (see picture, and could easily drive the nut at a 35 degree angle. Great tool for those hard-to-reach bolts and nuts.

Over all, a very decent and high quality set of universal type and impact rated sockets. The pinless design seems to be holding up well in use at the shop. Broaching is nice and clean. Fits well on hog ring studs of the impact tool I have been using. Finish is a nice smooth black oxide so long term storage will need the occasional rust inhibitor oil type wipe down. Long term quality remains to be seen, but I am impressed with the limited use I have had with them.

These sockets work quite well and handle working at an angle quite smoothly, they do seem to be a little more prone to getting sticky when dirt gets in them than the standard pin type. They basically use 4 splines to turn the socket, which looks to be quite strong, and a snap ring to hold the two pieces together, time will tell on how they last. The socket uses a flank drive so there is less chance of rounding off your fastener. The set comes with 3/8",7/16",1/2",9/16",5/8",11/16",3/4". The markings on the side are easy to read and if they wear off the size is also stamped into the metal on the socket itself. The rail that comes with it can be used in your tool box to keep the set organized, it is plastic and not very high quality but it does work, however I don't think it will last long. One of the things I don't like much is that there is quite a bit of twist or play in the socket itself, it is the worst when the socket is straight but not bad when at an angle. They do have a hole for the retaining pin on impact extensions and guns. The card says that they work up to 30 degrees which is about what I measured. The sockets are about 2 3/8" long and about 1" in diameter long. The metal seem quite decent and solid. They also have a lifetime warranty. All in all this seems to be a decent set of sockets

Whenever the job requires it, I have always used a separate universal joint with sockets before I found this set. This 7 socket set from Husky uses a lug and groove type system rather than the old and often times point of failure, the dowel pin. The old pin has been replaced with what appears to a much stronger and more flexible joint (see picture). This SAE set has 7 swivel and socket combinations of the most popular sizes. Each socket is easily identifiable with the size painted in gold on its side. The socket has a swing angle of 30 degrees from side to side. Time will tell on this sets actual durability and the strength of the lug/groove vs. the dowel pin. Overall, at this point, I am happy with this product and would recommend it.

Really helpful when space is tight. These are really low profile and tilt up to 30 degrees. Sometimes just getting on the bolt is the challenge. These are 6-pt sockets so the pinless type swivel is especially important. I really appreciate that the size is screened onto the drive end and engraved in the socket end making them easy to identify. Also, the plastic strip helps keep them organized but isn't so tight that you can't get them off easily if you are operating with only one free hand. A nice addition to the tool box when working on my old cars. I did find that a little extra lubrication helped them operate even more smoothly

This set of impact sockets is nice in that it gives to some flexibility when it comes to access some harder to reach nuts that need to be busted loose. The head of the sockets pivots and allows you to get into some hard to reach places. One things to remember is that the base of each socket that attached to the impact gun or even standard socket wrench is much larger than the head that attaches onto the nut, so it may limit you from accessing a 3/8" nut cause the base of the sockets is so large...see the pics. The socket holder is plastic and seems to do a decent job of holding the individual sockets, there is no way to hang it from a rack or magnetize it to a metal tool chest.

Huskey comes up with real great tools for everyone, DYS and men in the trades. These sockets are real good no pins but they swivel real good and work well as impact sockets. They come attached to a plastic strip which isn't very strong so I replaced it with my metal socket holder. These are a great addition to my tool box, I will use them often. They work great on hard to get at bolts and nuts.

Great product no problems and love the look and finish think they could still be thinner but the strength is there.

Very nice deep impact sockets! I bought both the SAE and Metric sets. The quality appears to be good. Nice finish and easy to read permanent markings. Lifetime warranty from Home Depot is plus, if any pieces ever fail. Multiple sets of SAE had package which were unglued and open, but not the Metric package. Impact sockets are a must have item for use with any impact driver tool, and these sets include a good assortment of common sizes.

These are well made impact-rated impact sockets. 6-point design. 3/8-inch drive, in sizes 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 15, 16, 17, 18. Includes a 1/4-inch hex to 3/8-inch square drive adapter. It is missing the common 14 mm size, and has 9 mm, which I've never used, but no 11 mm, which I do sometimes use on oversized or damaged 10mm bolts. It is made from Cr-Mo steel, which is nice to see, as many tools these days are using the less costly Cr-V steels. The brand and size are printed on. A little worried that it won't last that long. The package says it has a lifetime warranty.

3/8" drive thin wall deep impact socket set Metric. is a nice little package. Coming with the hex drive to 3/8" adapter is a nice option for those that might not have one or for someone that might be using the sockets with a drill. sizing from 8mm to 16mm. skipping 14mm & 11mm. my one criticism is that the kit does not come with 14mm.. that is a size that i have found to be very common & used often. i could care less about 11mm could not tell you the last time i used that size. the sockets are well made. stamped & etched with size. they come on a little socket rail that i would only use for shipping. not practical to use it after you open the set up.

My initial impressions of Husky’s new Chrome Moly thin wall impact sockets are favorable. I observed no flaws in manufacturing, the sockets snap onto the anvil and hold in place, the socket ends seem to be of good tolerance, and the sockets seem capable of taking plenty of abuse from an impact. The black oxide protective coating finish is smoother than other impact socket brands. I’m not sure if there’s any advantage / disadvantage of one versus the other, and can’t comment on how well it’ll hold up over time. I particularly like that the sockets have both easy to read etched size and brand markings, and also stamped (or engraved) markings in the event the easy to read markings wear off. For the price, no complaints. They should hold up well enough and are made of Chrome Moly, which is superior to Chrome Vanadium for impact use. My only complaint is this set should come with 14mm and 19mm. That’s worth a couple $$ extra. Oh and they come with the typical Husky plastic throwaway socket rail which could be improved upon.

These work pretty well. They are durable. I would like it if they were a little deeper but they ge the job done. I have to say the smaller sizes aren't real practical for a 3/8 drive impact. The back side of the socket still needs to fit the 3/8 drive and makes it difficult to get into the smaller places where a 3/8, 5/16, 1/4 inch bolts are typically located. The 9/16 and the 5/8 have taken some abuse since I received these and they are still holding strong. I don't see and stretching or warping of the metal. Well made set of impact sockets, guaranteed forever! The kit includes a carrier and the sockets are flank-drive so they won't round off you nuts. They appear to be of high quality and should last me the rest of my life. I have used these with air impact tools as well as battery powered impact tools and they performed flawlessly. great tools at a great price!

This socket set works great with my M18 Fuel 3/8" impact driver. I'd been making do for a little bit with a chrome vanadium set of sockets, and just hoping they wouldn't shatter. This chrome molybdenum set is much more up to the task. Plus, you can't beat the Husky lifetime warranty - just take them back to HD for a replacement if they break! They're a little tough to get onto a friction ring anvil, but after a bit of coaxing they'll pop right on. Once they're on, they've got good retention. There's also a hole for a pin detent as well. The sizes are stamped onto the sides, so they won't wear off. They're a little difficult to read though, it may have been nice if Husky had chased the stamping with a little paint too. The 7/16" socket also had a bad stamp job, and the "16" is barely legible. I do really like the design of the socket interior, with the rounded oversized corners that reduce fastener head rounding off. It's just the flats making contact, which helps keep your fastener nice and pretty with no damage to the corners. Oh, and just one more note - this is definitely a standard set, and not metric, unlike the product description bullet points on Home Depot's website claiming "Set contains Metric Sizes only."
