I ended up not using this product. My pocket door...
I ended up not using this product. My pocket door was built different. This would have worked if I wanted to cut into my wall to remove the old bracket.

Removed an old, dysfunctional pocket door and track and replaced with this incredibly well-made track. We are so happy! It supports a new heavy door as well.

We installed these on 2 guest bath doors, along with soft close feature (extra). The benefit of the pocket door speaks for itself but it's ALL about the hardware. And Johnson is the only one to buy. Easy to install, precision-smooth gliding mechanism and perfect operation. LOVE them.

I used this to replace old style J-Track hardware on an existing closet pocket door - what an improvement! It gives a "luxurious feel" to the door's function. I found the installation to be easy and the components to be of high quality.

We have reached out to the manufacturer and their reply is, Our wheels are well-known for rolling very smoothly. We suspect that either you cut the frame down and debris is in the track, or paint overspray or drywall mud is in the legs of the track. Cleaning the track legs and wheels will usually solve or mitigate this issue.
