NOT hard to assemble!
Was told this was tedious to zip to assemble. I went slow and easy as it is a nylon zipper. Made sure to keep tucking in the zipper backing. NO PROBLEMS!!! This is for a feral cat, so I took off the door. It is great to be removable

Zipper
I have been trying to put this together. It seems the zipper is on wrong. We got it together, but the zipper is on the inside. The whole thing is inside out.

Nice shelter
I got this a few weeks ago and couldn’t get my outdoor cat to go in there so I ended up pulling the plastic door off (which attaches with Velcro) last night and she went in there a few times and was checking it out. This unit is in my pole barn and she has other means to stay warm out there. I got this so I could put it up on a shelf that she can climb up there and use because out here in the woods there are other animals that wander around periodically. I’m hoping that she starts using it, then I’ll try attaching the clear door and see if she continues to use it. It’s built sturdy and assembles quickly and easily. Nice shelter

I just received my thermo mod kitty shelter today. It seems to be inside out. The zippers are all on the inside. Very difficult to zip. The electric cord is installed so the white furry side of the pad can't be used. Have to turn the pad upside down to use it.

Great solution to keep kitty warm!
I've struggled for years to find a good solution for my outdoor cat during cold weather. The Thermo Mod Kitty Shelter is perfect!! Even my finicky cat likes it and keeps warm during cold nights.

great for a garage kitty
I wouldn't put this outside in the snow or rain but I have a kitty who comes into my garage from the window and she loves this house. The heat is just enough for her. It is very well made and easy to clean.

Disappointed
We bought this product because we wanted an outdoor, heated shelter for one of our cats that prefers to be outside. The size and shape were perfect and when I saw under Product Q&A - "The walls are made of 600 denier nylon with a vinyl backing that makes them waterproof and capable of withstanding snow." I figured this was it. We placed it on a covered porch and had mild rain - it got damp but still seemed okay. The rain continued for another day, moderate, and it was still in a covered area but wind obviously forced some rain directly onto it. Well, it got very wet inside. The plastic door was fogged over, the walls, roof and floor were very damp (almost wet). Do NOT think this is waterproof - it DEFINITELY IS NOT. The floor even has 4 small holes in it. Initially I had thought they were for little "feet" to slightly raise the shelter off the ground but there was nothing in the box and based on the photos it doesn't have any. No idea what those are for. Seems like a design flaw for something that is meant to be "waterproof".
The main reason I give it three stars vs 1 star is our cat absolutely loves it when it is dry. He claimed it right away. We loved it too, until the rain came. Great promise but in the end a disappointment.
Pros: size, shape, cat liked it when dry, heating pad is half heated so cat can move to cooler area and still stay in shelter, and easy to put together.
Con: NOT waterproof, electrical cord is only partially steel wrapped vs the full length.

It is just what I needed for my cattery. I am considering purchasing a couple more for kittens that will soon come. agaiin keep doing what you're doing because it's a great product.

Wonderful Outdoor Heated Kitty Bed
My little outside feral kitten loves this new home! At first I didn't think she'd go in, I took the Velcro door off so she would be less timid and before I knew it she was moved it! Thank you!

Great Indoor Bed
Personally, I don't consider this an outdoor bed, unless it is in a sheltered place from moisture, as it has no insulation or protection from rain and humidity. It is a great indoor bed with the heater and my indoor cats love it.
