Filtered water not so soft
After 2 months of use the water seems a little softer, the ultimate test was washing our cars and still left major hard water spots. Disappointed in the purchase. Install was fairly easy except the kit should include some sort of pipe support system and something else to better support the large filters at the bottom as they move very easily.

Great Product!
Installed the unit, very straightforward job. Our family noticed the positive difference within the first day. The chlorine smell was gone, and skin and hair feel much better after showering. A great purchase, very high quality.
Would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

Happy with our E-3000 water system
The system was installed in our basement. We used a plumber because we decided to bypass our outside irrigation system and the pipes in that area were a bit tight. Installation was expensive, but they did a great job. We had a slight leak from an O-ring on one of the filter housings after installation. Kind provided replacement O-rings and lubricant for free. We were able to replace the O-ring ourselves and fix the leak easily. The system has been working great. We have experienced no loss of water pressure. We liked the salt-free water softener option to prevent sediment build-up in appliances and to reduce water spots when washing cars, windows, bathrooms, etc.

Best Water System Ever

Works well. Just was more of a challenge to install than I thought. My neighbor had one and helped install it but it had some leaks(fault of our install not the system) that made me finally call a plumber to fix.

KIND- E3000
All 3 Orings that came with the system were to large, causing them not to lay flat into the top grove. Tried our best to install them even though they were oversized. Two out of three canisters had a slow leak about 6 drops per day. After 3 days attempted to reset them. Currently only 1 of the 3 canisters is leaking about 5 drops per day. Kind has mailed me a complete set of replacement Orings which I have received but not yet installed to see if they are a better fit. Still to early to rate the filtering process.

I love my Whole House Salt Free Water Softener, there is such a big difference in the water that comes out of the taps, my hair is so nice and soft as well now after my shower, my sink is looking great everything is much cleaner too, the connections were just fine, had my handy man install it bought something to put it in and it just looks great.

Didn’t make a difference
So this is an update to my earlier review and I have to say I’m disappointed. I tested the water here in Pinellas County both before install and after install and there is almost no visible difference on my testing strips. I was hoping for better & “softer” water and have received neither with this unit. This unit may help if you’re on a well but for city water it does nothing. I ended up returning it for a refund.

So I went from a true water softening system to this. After 8 yrs my old softener was constantly having issues costing big bucks. So now enter this Kind Whole house Salt Free system. Installation was not too hard, I used pvc piping. I have to say my only issue is the water isn’t soft, the water has a definite hard feeling . I know, based on the filter sizes of this system compared to a true water softener that you’re probably not going to get “true” soft water but I have to say I’m a bit disappointed. The product comes with a 120 day money back program so we’ll see how the next 30/60 days goes. Right now I’m on the fence.

Great Choice!
Did a "LOT" of research before deciding on the Whole House Salt-Free Water Softener and Filter Combo. Numerous other products out there to choose from. But decided on this system and could not be happier. It immediately rid our water of the smells and after a couple of weeks of use my skin and hair loves it! Had a plumber install "outside" not in garage due to challenges with my home and it was simple as well as practically hidden along the side of the home. Simple to change filters down the road when needed and overall price was quite fair for all you get.

Easy Install with Sharkbite. So far so good.
I bought this a month ago and installed in myself. The installation was simple in my case due to accessibility to the water main (city water) in the garage. The existing water line was vertical so I simply had to divert horizontally for the feed and return. The manifold can be oriented so that intake is on the right and exiting on the left. I used SharkBite for the installation and Pex (white) tube. The unexpected benefits to using SharkBite a) the ability to rotate the fittings allowed fine tuning the fit and finish, and b) the ability to easily remove and trim the Pex pipe to mate to the intake and exit fittings perfectly. The intake/exits stand off the wall a couple inches so I used a T at the water line rotated 45° toward the KindWater manifold and Pex to a 45° fitting to bring the run back to parallel with the wall and into the Kind manifold. On the exit 2 90° make the transition back to the wall level and return water line simple and secure. The SharkBite ball valves complete the install and provides the bypass.
Don’t be shy about DIY installation if you have easy access. Total time spent was about 90 minutes. Yes SharkBite will add about $150 but time saved will make up for it. Not having to deal with fire or glue is also a plus.
The KindWater system seems to be doing what we need. Water definitely tastes better but honestly it wasn’t that bad before. As far as limescale, time will tell if the technology works to improve. A month in we’re not seeing any dramatic changes but are optimistic. Not using salt is a good thing too.

Happy with the water softener
Our installation was a complicated one. Our house is on a slab and there was no place close to the water pump that had room for the softener. So I built a cabinet to hold the softener and ran piping to and from it 7 feet away. The water doesn't taste like lake water anymore.

Great investment
We just bought a new construction home, our retirement home. We looked into most all of the water softener systems on the market. We excluded all the systems that require salt. We bought the kind Whole House Salt-Free Water Softener and Filter Combo system. We had a plumber install it because most homes don't come with a loop system, which they had to install. That was an extra charge, so keep that in mind. So far, we love outer water softener and our homes pipes and appliances will last a lot longer now. We love not having hard water. Thank you Kind Water System.

Should have done this decades ago!
The water is so delicious!! I’m thrilled to be drinking directly from the tap! I am also very pleased with the service and the 12 months of interest free payments which makes the system very affordable. I should have done this decades ago! I will admit that my handyman thought the install was pretty involved, but he got it done!

A must have!
This is my second whole house filter, my other was a Springwell. I installed both myself, but it is definitely not the easiest installation. Previous plumbing experience is required, particularly if you want it to look neat.
This one was a breeze, and in my opinion was a bit easier to install due to its size and design. Additionally the taste of the water is significantly better. I would highly recommend it.
