Excellent material used to patch extensive lawn root damages.

Purchased as a grass topper. Worked fine as expected to regrow grass, 2 weeks and grass is sprouting! Good quality not a lot of other debris.

Mixture of soil and shredded wood that works well for establishing a good solid surface in areas where you've got sandy soil or a lot of clay and mineral in the soil.

Top soil works great. Helps fill in voids in the grass to help the grass grow also. Just a warning though. It does smell like manure for a week and it does attract flies and other bugs.

Just what I wanted to help my winter lawn seeding come in ..

Topper is a coarse compost with nothing else added. I use it for amending clay soil because it takes longer to break down than other composts. I also use it as a planting mix for larger plants that don't like rich soil and I mix it with other composts that have nitrogen added. I don't think it makes a good topdressing. Topper is cheaper than other commercial composts and its quality is consistent. I have been using it for years and am never disappointed.

I use this product on lawns exclusively. This rich black soil works wonders for a fall lawn

I must have picked up a lousy batch. Ended up having to rake out a tremendous amount of rocks. I guess you get what you pay for. It was more work to take it back so that’s that…lesson learned.

Definitely helps my winter lawn grow faster and helps protect it from birds feeding on my expensive seed. My only complaint is the number of larger twigs and such that I have to deal with after spreading it out.
