These were an upgrade from an expired set of hard-wired detectors and they are a great improvement. The App was easy to set up and use and my parents who like to travel appreciate the ability to monitor their home remotely.

I like the fact that these are connected to my phone throught their app. Fairly simple to install. The plugsfit our existing hardwired plugs. We just installed them and like the 10 year backup battery feature.

Easy to install and easy connect to their APP. Wish it was better integrated with Google Home APP. Install was just replacing old hardwired ones from a different company.

Hello. If you have issues with our alarms again, please call us at 1-800-880-6788 while onsite with the alarms before you replace them. We do stand behind our products and we are happy to troubleshoot and figure out what is going on and get an issue resolved. False alarms are most commonly caused by something interfering with the sensor. To clean the alarm, hold the unit by its edge and thoroughly blow through the gap on the side of the unit with compressed air (like keyboard cleaner). We recommend cleaning out all of your smoke alarms at least every 6 months to a year and at this point we would recommend cleaning out all of your other alarms as well as a preventative. If you have interconnected alarms, the first step is finding the initiating unit, as that is the key. See the owner's manual. Some of your alarms may be in one the locations to avoid listed in the owner's manuals. This would especially include alarms being installed within 3 ft (.9m) of a forced air supply ducts used for heating or cooling, ceiling or whole house ventilating fans, or other high air flow areas. We recommend that alarms not be installed near vents, flues, chimneys, or fans. We recommend that alarms not be installed near doors or windows near areas directly exposed to the weather. We strongly recommend not to install these alarms in garages, attics, and crawl spaces as you will get temperatures, dust, insects, and chemicals that can cause nuisance alarms. Try cleaning out the alarms. If you have the issue again, find the alarm setting off all of the others and call us with that alarm in hand at 1-800-880-6788 so we can get this resolved for you.

This product is compatible with older Kidde detectors that are not Wi-Fi enabled. So, the mounting bracket and wiring don’t have to be changed.

    Discourage purchasing defective
Installed these smoke detectors to replace aging units, however excessive false alarms started. There was never any smoke, steam, dust or insects found during any false alarm. Replaced some of the detectors a 2nd time, however those continued. The return date expired and neither Home Depot or Kidde would provide a credit. We switched to the Google Nest Protect Detectors instead without a false alarm since. I suggest removing this product from your shelves.

Replaced all smoke alarms in our home with these, easy to setup and install. No batteries to replace annually!

Nice alarm that provides both smoke and CO2 protection. The associated app works great; received a smoke alarm alert on thanksgiving when it went off while cooking! Easy hookup, especially if you are just swapping out a recent Kidde smoke-only alarm.

The instructions of this product are not provided in the box. You are required to register and use their on line instructions and connect the device to your WiFi before it will work. The instructions also do not explain completely the meaning of the different color and flash of the light.

Hello. There should have been an owner's manual in the box that has a chart with the different modes of the alarm with light patterns and sounds and what they mean. This owner's manual should also be on our website as the P4010ACSCO-WF. We would be happy to print out and send you an owners manual if that would help. Please feel free to call us at 1-800-880-6788.

        Doesn't pass inspection without WIFI
You have to set up the detector in an app over WiFi before it will pass inspection. Inspector presses the button to test the alarms, nothing happens until it is set up. How is a contractor in a new build supposed to set things up with WiFi?? This should only ever be an OPTIONAL feature. Stick the QR code on the outside of the detector, if it isn't scanned it behaves normally. They really need to talk to builders before they design this stuff. Failed an inspection today!

          False Alarms - App Malfunctions
Get something else, anything else. This smoke detector and it IAQ partner are plagued with issues. I am taking mine out. These are an expensive waste of money. Waking up in the middle of the night because the smoke detectors are malfunctioning and going off is ridiculous with how much these cost my kids should not have to wake up in a panic not knowing if it is a real alarm or another false alarm.

Tried several times to hook up and would not stop beeping and going into alarm mode. Returned and purchased a different one by Kidde without the Smart app and installed in 2 minutes with no issues.

Horrible product & Kiddie customer service sucks
Within a 15 month span, I’ve had multiple false fire alarms, Wi-Fi failures, device needing to be replaced because of end of battery, etc. I paid a professional to install them and now have to do it again with another product because these are garbage and unreliable. Don’t waste your time and money. I have 18 in my house. Waking up in the middle of the night to figure out if you have a fire or a false alarm that the app won’t turn off. The only way to silence them is to disconnect each unit.

It promises to be efficient. My son-in-law is managing its features which helps me out a lot!!! It’s newly installed so that’s the best I have to offer.

                Lasted only 16 months.
No longer working. Only lasted 16 months. For the past week it has randomly activated fire alarm with out fire or smoke present. It's clean, not in a dusty location. Now will have to spend another $80.00 for a new one.

                      Not For High Ceilings
Since there is no way to reconnect the device without removing it if it inadvertently disconnects from WiFi, I don’t recommend it for high ceilings. We purchased these because we didn’t want to have to change the batteries every year and because of the monitoring via the app. We should’ve also taken into consideration that the app is useless for things like turning off alerts about interrupted internet connection or reconnecting the device to WiFi.

                        Recall before someone dies
These need to be recalled before someone dies. Faulty product. False alarms in the middle of the night with no fire to be seen. They are less than a month old.
